Blocked arteries don't cause most heart attacks. Unstable plaque does, and you won't feel it building, but what you ate this morning are either stabilizing your arteries or accelerating damage. Let me show you this 60-second shot that targets the real mechanism. Arteries become problematic when five key things happen. Number one, LDL cholesterol becomes oxidized. You may have tested your LDL. LDL stands for low density lipoprotein. There are two types of LDL. There is a bad inflammatory type. It's called a small sticky LDL. That's the oxidized version. Think of oxidation as rusting. This is the inflammatory kind. Then there's the large and fluffy LDL which is not problematic. So if you have elevated LDL, that's not necessarily the problem. It's if you have elevated oxidized LDL. When LDL particles are exposed to oxidative stress, they become pro-inflammatory, they end up lodging into the arteries creating plaque formation. This buildup research in circulation and atherosclerosis consistently show oxidized LDL plays a central role in plaque formation and plaque instability. The second thing that happens is the endothelium becomes inflamed. The endothelium is the lining of your arteries. It's supposed to be smooth and flexible and bouncy. But when it's inflamed, it becomes sticky, rigid, hard, and dysfunctional. The third thing is when nitric oxide becomes depleted, nitric oxide is called a vaso diilator. That is really important because when nitric oxide is up, your arteries, your blood vessels, they actually become more flexible. They open up. This tells the arteries to relax. But when the nitric oxide levels in your body lower, the arteries become stiff. This causes your body to work harder to deliver blood flow, nutrients, and even oxygen to tissues. And when that heart has to work harder to do the same job, this raises your blood pressure. This is the number one cause of high blood pressure. And the number one cause of heart disease is high blood pressure. You could see the link here. Now the fourth thing that happens is that your blood becomes thick and sludgy and you will see this by testing something like your triglycerides. High levels of triglycerides in your bloodstream which is a result of poor metabolic health increases blood thickness which impairs this flow dynamic. This process happening in your body. And the fifth key thing that happens is when insulin stays chronically elevated. Chronically elevated levels of insulin has been shown to create endothelial dysfunction and to reduce nitric oxide bioavailability. Look, I remember interviewing here on my podcast a worldrenowned heart surgeon. This guy, his name is Dr. Philip Ovadia. He has performed heart surgery on over 5,000 patients. We were talking about this subject right here, heart disease, which is the number one killer in all first world countries. I asked him, "What is the number one cause of heart disease?" He said, "Well, Ben, there's only one cause of heart disease." And I said, "Really?" He said, "Yeah, damage to the blood vessels when that plaque formation builds up." Now, he said, "There are multiple things that contribute to that." And I pinned him in a corner and I said, "What would be the number one thing that contributes to that?" He said, "High levels of insulin." I don't know if you knew this, but 93% of Americans have high levels of insulin. you could see why 700,000 people die every year from heart disease just here in the US. Now, this isn't about doing something wrong. It's about understanding the full picture. Cholesterol alone is not the entire story. Studies actually show more people die from heart disease with normal to low cholesterol than high cholesterol. So, let me ask you something. If you have two or more of the following, it's a red flag that your arteries are under major stress. Do you have high triglycerides, that's going to be anything over 100. Do you have elevated blood pressure? Do you have belly fat? Do you experience postmeal fatigue? You're tired after meals. And do you have a family history of heart disease? I want you to pause and think about those questions. If you said yes to at least two of them, that's a major red flag. You see, you don't feel the plaque building in your body. You don't feel oxidative stress rising, but your arteries respond to what you do daily. And let me be clear here. No food will drill plaque out of your arteries overnight. Anyone who tells you that is oversimplifying it. But here's what we can influence. Plaque stability, oxidative stress, vascular flexibility, nitric oxide production, and lowering of metabolic inflammation. And that's where this daily shot comes from. I call this the vascular support shot. It's designed to support blood flow, target oxidative stress, improve vascular flexibility, support healthy triglyceride levels, and to support nitric oxide production, and it takes less than 60 seconds to make. We're going to build this one layer at a time. Now, don't skip ahead because each ingredient maps to a specific mechanism. There's a reason why I have these ingredients in listed here. Okay, ingredient number one is going to focus on nitric oxide support. This is going to be either beetroot powder or fresh lemon and a small amount of pomegranate extract. Why? Because all of those items support nitric oxide production which opens up the blood vessels, makes it more flexible. Clinical trials show dietary nitrates from beetroot juice, for example, and beetroot powder improves endothelial function and arterial flexibility because it increases NO nitric oxide. A 2015 study in hypertension showed beetroot supplementation improved flow mediated dilation within hours. So, this changes your blood flow fast. We're not forcing anything here. We're simply supporting your own body's signaling pathways. Ingredient number two focuses on lowering insulin and lowering triglycerides. That's going to be raw apple cider vinegar. Studies published in diabetes care shows that apple cider vinegar before meals can support postrandial glucose control. That is the blood sugar and the insulin response from the meal. And the studies even show this is beneficial even with high carbohydrate meals. Lower glucose spikes mean lower insulin spikes. Lower insulin spikes mean less damage to the blood vessels. Remember Dr. Philip Povatia what he said? Number one cause of heart disease, high insulin. And we know insulin resistance is associated with arterial stiffness. Now this isn't blame. This is simply physiology. I want you to understand how this works. Ingredient number three is anti-inflammatory support. That's going to be fresh grated ginger or turmeric. Now, last time I made a video on turmeric, people were saying there's an R in turmeric cuz I was saying turmeric. Okay, got it. Turmeric. Now, inflammation, when you lower inflammation, it decreases plaque. And curcumin which is the active compound in turmeric has been shown in multiple human studies to support inflammatory balance and endothelial health. And ginger the research on ginger is also concrete. It shows in humans it helps to support lipid metabolism and vascular function. Again support not treatment. Now here's the thing. There's still one ingredient here which is the most important ingredient I haven't listed yet but it connects all of this. It supports all of those processes. Nitric oxide, oxidation, inflammation, endothelial health, all of it. And unfortunately, this is where most people get it wrong. That's going to be high polyphenol, fresh pressed olive oil. Not just olive oil, but high polyphenol first harvest pressed. That's lab tested to show the polyphenol count. You see, extravirgin olive oil is rich in polyphenols, and those polyphenols have been shown through numerous human trials to protect LDL from going oxidized. It supports endothelial function and directly increases HDL levels, high density lipoprotein. Think of HDL as the janitorial system to clean out plaques that have accumulated in the arteries. Very important. It's also been shown to support nitric oxide availability and to reduce vascular inflammation. There was a very fascinating study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, one of the most prestigious journals in the world, and it showed that a proper formulated Mediterranean diet rich in extra virgin olive oil was associated with improved cardiovascular outcomes. So when you get a high quality olive oil and it has the polyphenols such as a polyphenol called oolioanthols that is the key. These are powerful antioxidants. But but here's the major problem and the big hurdle. Most supermarket olive oil is oxidized. It's low in polyphenol. It's old. It's been sitting on the shelf for a very long time or sitting in production months to years after it was produced. And a good percentage of these olive oils are cut with inflammatory seed oils. They get damaged from heat and light and exposure. So if you're using olive oil for vascular support, which I highly recommend you do, polyphenol content and freshness matter the most. So here's what you're going to do every day. You're going to get a shot glass or even a cup. You're going to add 1 tspoon of apple cider vinegar, half a teaspoon of beetroot powder, a small pinch of grated ginger or turmeric, and then squeeze fresh lemon. Then pour slow one tablespoon of fresh pressed high polyphenol olive oil. As you're pouring this, understand this supports LDL balance. This supports nitric oxide, endothelial function. This lowers inflammation. You're going to stir it. Take it as a shot. Cheers. Once you do that, and oh my gosh, that that's what you want. The olive oil should burn like it does for me right now. You're hearing my voice. It It should burn your throat, make your tongue a little fuzzy. That shows when it does that that the olive oil is loaded in polyphenols. If your olive oil goes down smooth and you don't notice anything, that's a problem. It's a red flag. It's not a high quality olive oil. Now, this is not a replacement for medical care. This is not medical advice. It's not a substitute for any medication you might be on. It's simply a powerful vascular support strategy you can do every day. This is what I tell all my clients to do. You if you have heart disease, you know, work with your physician, but this complements a heart-healthy lifestyle. And if you're serious about protecting your arteries from oxidation, look, you cannot use dead oil. You cannot use inflammatory oxidized olive oil. Most grocery store olive oil is already oxidized. It's they're using an old harvest, low polyphenol, white damage, and sometimes it contains seed oils. That actually works against everything we're trying to do here. That's why I've partnered up with the fresh pressed olive oil club. Every single batch is fresh harvest first pressed. The earlier it's pressed, the more polyphenols it has. So, it's high polyphenol. Not just because they say it's high polyphenol. They actually have third-party lab testing showing their polyphenol count. And the and their polyphenol count is two to sometimes three times higher than what I'm looking for in an olive oil. It's pretty insane. And it's also certified extra virgin which preserves the polyphenol. And right now, Fresh Press olive oil club is hooking you up. When you order two bottles, you're going to get a third bottle for free. It's not a discount, a full actual bottle for free. But here's the challenge. They only press a certain amount of olive oil per season. See, they use seasonal harvest batches here. And when the batches sell out, it's gone. can't get it until the next season. So, take action right now and click the first link in the description box below or hey, if you're watching on YouTube, grab your phone and scan the QR code on the screen. And once you do that, here's what you're going to see. You're going to see the page buy two get one free. You're going to hit try the club. And as you scroll down, you're going to see two options. There is a large set. You get two large bottles and then a third large bottle for free. or you're going to go for the small set, whatever you prefer. Two bottles and then one for free. In this case, I love my olive oil. I'm going to select large set. And then once you do that, you're simply going to put your contact information, your billing information, click join the club, and then it's going to be delivered right to your door. This takes about 30 seconds, and then you'll get the Fresh Press olive oil club delivered right to you. So, go ahead and get your three bottles of high polyphenol olive oil, support nitric oxide, lower LDL, and click the first link down below or scan the QR code on the screen before this harvest runs out. I want you to act on this while you still have control. As I mentioned, you don't feel plaque building. You don't feel nitric oxide declining. You don't feel oxidative stress building and accumulating in your body, but your arteries are responding directly to your daily habits. This isn't about fear. This is about control. This is about you being proactive, not reactive. Small daily inputs shape long-term vascular outcomes. And I'll say this in a different way. Small tweaks lead to giant peaks. I hope that's empowering. And if this has helped you understand the real mechanism behind clogged arteries, not the hype version, hit subscribe because the goal isn't panic. It's about being precise. Precision. And precision changes everything. And remember, don't follow this protocol with cheap oxidized olive oil. Get the high quality stuff. Now, let me get to the questions you submitted on this topic to give you more clarity and insight. Ben, can you also cook with this olive oil? You know, outside of just taking it as a shot, can you use it to cook with to get additional benefits? There's a myth out there that most people will tell you, and I'm sure you've heard this before, do not cook with olive oil. They're partly right and they're partially wrong. Let me explain. There was a fantastic study published in New Zealand. In this study, get this, they took the eight most popular cooking oils. You could see them on the screen. Here are the oils they tested. Extra virgin olive oil, virgin olive oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, rice brand oil, and canola oil. Actually, these are 10 oils they tested. And they did two trials. Trial number one gradually heated each oil to 464° F. That's high heat, which is 240° C. Trial 2 deep fried each of the 10 oils for 6 hours at 356° F, 180° C. They looked at a couple of things. Number one, they looked at the smoke point of these oils. And it's true, olive oil had a low smoke point, but the two key things they looked at was number one, oxidative stability. And if you're watching on YouTube, here's what they found. They found that coconut oil scored the best when it came to oxidative stability. Meaning, the more heat, the longer you cook with it, the more you deep fried, it preserved itself. Second best was peanut oil. Third best was extravirgin olive oil. The oil that had the least amount of oxidative stability was the worst was grape seed oil and sunflower oil and rice brand oil. Now that was one important metric, but the most important thing they tested was something called polar compounds. Polar compounds are a nasty inflammatory process that the oil produces after being heated. So the more polar compounds an oil produces after being heated, the more pro-inflammatory it is for you, the more oxidative damage it causes, the more plaque builds up in your arteries. That's bad. And here's what the study showed. Out of those 10 oils, the oil that scored the least amount of polar compounds, which was the clear winner, was extra virgin olive oil. And the oil that scored the most polar compounds, which was the worst in the batch, was grape seed oil, followed by canola oil, followed by rice brand oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil, and then avocado oil. This is showing that although olive oil does have a low smoke point, when it's real fresh pressed olive oil, like the one I have right here from the fresh olive oil club, it's so rich in polyphenols that it protects it from damage. Therefore, if you want to cook with it, go for it. You could also use olive oil, real olive oil, extra virgin, as a salad dressing, as dips, and of course in your shot. How fast can nitric oxide levels improve? Well, the study I referenced earlier from hypertension demonstrated that it showed improved endothelial function like within days after beetroot consumption. But consistency matters more than the dose. So take the shot that I outlined today every single day. What if you don't have all the ingredients? Which is the one ingredient that you should do every single day? It's the olive oil. Now if you want to add the apple cider vinegar, great. If you want to add the other ingredients like the beetroot powder, the lemon juice, the grated ginger, great. The more you can add to it, the better. But if you had to choose one, it would be just take a shot of the olive oil, the fresh pressed olive oil every single day. If my cholesterol is normal, do I still need this? Well, normal to you and your doctor is not normal to me. As I mentioned earlier, more people die from heart disease with normal to low cholesterol versus high cholesterol. See, heart disease is influenced more than just total cholesterol. Cholesterol alone is a meaningless marker to me. I'm actually more concerned when somebody has a low and in some cases normal cholesterol than than if somebody has a high cholesterol. It's really oxidized LDL, high triglycerides, low HDL, high insulin, and inflammation that's the real boogeyman here that leads to heart disease. Many individuals with normal cholesterol have elevated triglycerides, belly fat, elevated fasting insulin, and those will drive heart disease faster than just total cholesterol. Now, before I get to the next question, let me give you a free resource here that's going to complement what you learned to lower insulin, which is the key hormone we want to lower here. Look, you've been lied to. Some of the healthiest vegetables you eat every day are silently wrecking your gut, inflaming your body, and locking fat around your belly. So, I put together a free guide breaking down five vegetables you must avoid if you want real fat loss and what to eat instead to reset your metabolism fast. This is the truth your doctor will never tell you, but your belly fat already knows. Click the second link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen to grab your avoid list now. Less inflammation, less confusion, and a lot less belly fat in 7 days or less. Why not just take supplements? Look, I'm a big fan of whole food source supplements. Absolutely go for it. But the synergistic effects and the benefits of taking a shot of what I outlined today far out outweigh any supplement for what we want to achieve here. For example, fresh pressed extra virgin olive oil have polyphenols that work in a lipid matrix you cannot get from a supplement. So use supplements to supplement consuming real foods and in this case real liquids. And look, if you've been burned by fake olive oil before, and I want you to go test the olive oil you have in your kitchen, take a shot and see if it goes down smooth. Red flag. Most of it is oxidized junk. Sometimes in plastic bottles, sometimes zero polyphenols. This is different. And once you try it, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. So go get the Fresh Press olive oil club deal. Get an entire bottle for free. Click the first link down below or scan the QR code on the screen right now. And share this lesson with somebody you know. Take your shot daily. do it for at least 30 days and come back to this video and let me know how it goes for you. Thank you so much for watching. Thank you so much for listening. And if you're a coffee drinker like I am, I started to add something to my coffee and it made me feel like I was 30 again. I'm 41, but doing this made me feel like I was in my 30s. And I want you to learn about this and maybe do it as well. Here's a clip from that lesson. Click the video on the screen coming up here and I'll see you in the next lesson. Allow me to say something that might surprise you. If you're waking up tired, no matter how many hours of sleep you get, if you're struggling to lose belly fat, if you're losing strength or feeling mentally slower than you used to, that's not aging. That's a crisis happening within your cells. In other words, it's a cellular energy issue within all of your
