Did Apple FORGET? iPad A18, Apple TV & HomePod Mini Missing...

So then guys, we've just had the announcement of new MacBooks. We've had the announcement of a new iPhone, new iPad Air, also new studio display. But I know what you guys are all thinking cuz obviously you've clicked onto this video. What happened with, say, the iPad 12th generation? What's happened to the Apple TV? And also, what's happened to the HomePod Mini and maybe even the normal HomePod getting an upgrade? Were we meant to get an upgrade this March time with this? And why didn't it happen? Well, today I'm going to try my best based on leaks and rumors that we heard about of what actually happened here and why we did not get these devices. So, I think first of all, I'm going to discuss probably the main reason why these probably didn't get released. And I'd probably say this is the biggest one in Apple's eyes why they didn't do it. And that is all to do with Apple Intelligence. Now, Apple Intelligence, as you know, has had a bit of a rough journey. So, we were promised back in 2024 a new type of Siri, for example, that would integrate with all your apps and everything and could do everything that you wanted it to do. And, you know, you could get it to schedule things, it could work things [music] out, and it just didn't come out. We didn't get it in 2025 at WWDC. We've got some other Apple intelligence bits and pieces, but not the thing that we've been promised. Now, since that time, we've also been told that Apple have been working the likes with Google now with the Gemini team, with Alphabet. And basically, what they're doing is they're looking to make that new type of Siri that's going to be integrated across all of the Apple devices. Now, what I personally think is going to happen with this is that when they bring out this new Apple intelligence, all devices that exist right now, obviously they will get it and it will work straight away out of the box. But I believe Apple, what they'll want to do is they'll want to introduce devices that could also work with this. Now, one of the things that we've been hearing, let's start with the Apple TV. And that we've been hearing the Apple TV is going to become, as it were, a home kit hub or home hub for all your bits and pieces on it. It's going to have that ability on the actual device. So from that point of view, if Apple are to bring out this new kind of Apple intelligence and they know it is coming and they want to use the Apple TV as a hub, that's what we've been hearing. They in their eyes, I know not in my eyes because I'd love to get a new Apple TV. I know you guys here watching it want Apple TV. Probably not just for the AI hub ability, they want it for everything else like I do. They see it in their eyes. Well, no, we're not going to release it yet. We are going to wait for Apple Intelligence to come out with our new kind of home hub, new kind of home kit sort of bits and pieces and we will announce Apple TV at [music] that point with all of its new features too. And from Apple's point of view, they seem this is probably going to be the logical action to do this. I'm going to say that is the main reason why Apple TV is not out. I personally believe Apple TV has been created. I believe that obviously the factories are ready to go. Maybe even some of these actually have been made with the likes of an A17 Pro chip inside of it. And maybe we will get that lossless kind of audio HDMI pass through. All of those kind of bits and pieces are all probably ready. [music] But the missing ingredient from Apple's eyes is Apple intelligence where they need to drop a tvOS update onto this TV for day one release. And they're waiting for that moment. They're waiting from another team to actually do that. And that's probably the main reasons why I would say these three devices have not been released. They're waiting for that Apple intelligence moment. And I would say this also does really does relate to the likes of this here, the HomePod mini because obviously, yeah, this is going to completely run on Siri. There's no point, you know, announcing this a new one of these until that comes out because it'd be a bit weird that they announce this and then go, "Yeah, it's basically the same as the last HomePod mini." Yeah. Yeah. and then suddenly go, "Oh, now we've got a massive update. It's going to completely change it." In Apple's eyes, that doesn't make sense. They need to have bring up that breakthrough moment with Apple intelligence. And I think that's the main reason I'd say for at least these two devices is the big reason why. Now, the iPad, I'd also believe that is part of the reason, but let me tell you the other part of the reason right after this. So moving on then, we kind of worked out Apple intelligence is a big part of the reason why these products have not come out. And I know what you're saying. I believe it too that at least would like to say the Apple TV, you know, honestly at the moment I don't really care about Apple intelligence. I just want a new Apple TV and I want to use the other features bar Apple intelligence. But obviously, like I said, Apple probably don't see that in their eyes. Now moving on to the actual likes of the iPad. What is going on here then? Why didn't we see it in March time? It made complete sense to bring it out. Now I think the main reason from Apple's point of view is the new MacBook Neo. Now the new MacBook Neo has just come out and it is fantastic. $599 for a baseline MacBook. What can do just general standard jobs out there. It's not designed for the likes of Final Cut Pro with ProRes and, you know, Red Raw and logging and all of that or, you know, feeding in loads of audio tracks and whatever or, you know, fiddling around with, you know, wedding photos are all raw photos. It's not for that. We understand that. So, it's kind of a baseline model now because this is a brand new product and it's for that type of kind of customer. This iPad also is that for that same type of customer too. And I believe that Apple a second reason why they didn't release this apart from the Apple intelligence reason is because they know that they bought out the iPad it could have scuffed the sales for the you know for that new Neo and I think that's a big reason why they didn't do it. I do think the iPad is on its way and again I think they might have related it to that this iPad is one of the last devices as well with the likes of say the HomePod and also the Apple TV. These three devices here do not technically have Apple intelligence built into them. And it would just make sense that these are the last three devices to actually go ta all three of these devices now have Apple intelligence on the launch. We've managed to finish that transition. everything's going to happen and it's going to have it. So, I personally believe the new iPad will come out at the same time when this new type of Apple intelligence is going to come out. It makes sense if it's going to be say the summer this year or even it could be later on in September when that does officially roll out to the public. So, I do mean that yeah, it is going to be a bit longer for this. But I think this is one of the big reasons why Apple didn't do it. I think it's because of Apple intelligence. The Neo is also another factor. And I also think there is also another third factor too and that is remember we've got an A16 inside of this right now. We're an A19. Now typically what Apple normally do with the chip it's normally around about 2 to 3 years behind on the actual chip. We're on A19 at the moment. So for to skip over to A18 chip obviously we got to jump over the A17 Pro cuz there was no normal A17. Apple not going to make that obviously at this stage. I think they need to wait for the likes of say the A20 chip to come out and then at that point they could actually say oh here we go this chip is now 2 years old and then obviously eventually it'll be about 3 years old like what we have right now we got A19 A16. So yeah kind of makes sense cuz remember that's what we had last time when this new iPad came out the 11th gen. We were 2year difference. We had A18, A18 Pro this time last year and then we also had the A16. So, do you see what I mean? It kind of does make sense that Apple are probably waiting for A20 and then we'll have that 2year gap. It's always had an older chip in it. It's never had a newer chip in the sort of likes of modern days. Ever since, say the iPad, say fifth generation or so, it's always had an older chip. And I think this is the other reason for it. They're waiting for that moment. But really guys, it is bad news we didn't get these devices. But I hope this video kind of makes sense in the potential reasons why we didn't get updates to these products in March time.
