let me mention something that is being talked about Across the Nation right now and I want to know how it will affect Northwest Florida and for that matter the entire State of Florida in your judgment and there's so much Unknown about that but that's sequestration um it'll be interesting to see what happens at the federal level uh probably an educated guest would say that it will come down to the very last minute so it's very difficult to prepare for it but your thoughts on it and I'll I'll begin with you Senator ever well I think uh one of the things that uh our constituents and and the folks in the State of Florida that's very concerned about is our second amendment rights and uh one of the things that that has seemed to build at the federal level is you know the limiting certain uh certain weapons uh certain magazines this kind of thing but here in Florida and there has been quite a few bills uh that has been filed to do uh or to water down stand your ground or the castle do doine the bills that we have fought very hard for and representative Gates and myself uh which both set on criminal justice those bills happen to originate and will start in those particular committees and um as far as my committee and the thing that I'm concerned with I don't think we have a problem with it and I think representative Gates feels the same way and um we don't feel like stand your ground we don't feel like cast doctrine's broke we feel like there's a case going on and it needs to go through the uh through the process and cooler heads will prevail
