“Be aware that the 'success' shown relies on the creator's expert-level screening process (rejecting 49 out of 50 cards), which may lead casual collectors to underestimate the high risk of losing money through regrading.”

Ask yourself: “What would I have to already believe for this argument to make sense?”

The content features highly natural, conversational speech with authentic emotional reactions and specific personal history that AI narrators currently lack. The presence of verbal self-corrections and subjective opinions on card aesthetics strongly indicates a human creator.

Natural Speech Patterns The transcript contains natural stutters, filler phrases like 'it's it's got to go', and informal contractions ('suffice to say', 'I'm kind of actually sick of this card').
Personal Anecdotes and Subjectivity The narrator expresses specific personal frustrations with the grading process and emotional fatigue regarding a specific card ('I'm kind of actually sick of this card').
Contextual Continuity References to a specific previous video about 'Charizard Evolutions' and the logic behind resubmitting specific cards based on previous results shows human strategic thinking.

Worth Noting

Positive elements

  • This video provides a practical look at the visual differences between PSA and CGC slabs and the reality of grade variance in the high-end collectibles market.

Be Aware

Cautionary elements

  • The video frames subjective grading inconsistencies as an objective 'profit' opportunity, which may encourage viewers to gamble on 'cracking' slabs without the creator's specific technical knowledge.

This PSA to CGC regrade submission took four business days, which is by far the quickest submission I've ever had. I did the economy tier, which has a 20 business day turnaround. I also regraded five more Charizard cards from my previous Charizard Evolutions video back to CGC with some interesting results, so stay tuned for that. There's also some insane profits in this submission. I'd like to point out before we begin that I spend a ton of time looking up cards [music] on eBay and other places trying to find cards that I think are undergraded and can grade higher. I usually go through almost 50 cards until I find one that I think can grade higher. So, I am fully expecting every single card that I buy to grade higher. And the reason why I choose CGC is because I believe they are more fair on the grades, especially for vintage. They have quicker turnaround times and they're not afraid to hand out tens if [music] the card's in great condition. All right, let's get right to it. Okay, up first are the five Charizard cards that I regraded and sent back to CGC for my other video where I sent 20 [music] of the same Charizard card to CGC from PSA to see what they would get. This one was originally a PSA 9. When I cracked it out again, I guess that I was going to get a nine again. And CGC gives the card a nine. So from a PSA [music] 9 to a CGC 9 twice, I safe to say it's probably deserving of that grade. Okay, so that's some nice consistency from CGC there. Let's go on to the next one. The same card again. And we have Charizard Evolutions Hollow. This one was from a PSA 9 to a CDC 9. This time I guess that it was going to get a 9.5 because I did think it could deserve a bit of a grade bump. And CGC gives the card [music] a nine. So again, that's two cards in a row where CGC is perfectly consistent, which is nice to see. I have way too many of this card now. So I'm definitely going to sell it. Even though I do really enjoy the card, it's it's got to [music] go. Okay, the third card in the submission again, Charizard Evolutions Hollow. This one was from a PSA 9 to a CGC 9. And I guess that it was going to get a nine again. And CGC gave the card a 10, which is awesome. Okay, so yes, that's not great from a consistency perspective, obviously going from a nine to a 10, but hey, we all know it's possible. I've done it from PSA back to PSA. I've done it from CDC to CDC. I've done it from PSA to CDC. Welcome to grading where the where the grade apparently doesn't matter. The hollow pattern of this card, if you look at it in like a nice light, looks so nice. I just love it so much. It's beautiful. But uh I am going to sell this one. Okay, the fourth card in this submission once again is Charizard Evolutions. This one was from a PSA 9. In this case, I actually guessed that it was going to get a nine and CGC the second time gave it a 10. Now, here's the thing, too. The last time I submitted these cards in my Charizard Evolutions video, they seem to get stricter further along in the submission. All of my 10 in that video came within the first, I believe, like six cards or something. So, I was like, "Okay, let's send some of the later cards in the submission back again to see what happens." I'm excited for that win again. Beautiful card. I am going to sell it and move on. Okay, the last of the CGC back to CDC regrades. This one was a PSA 9 to a CDC 9.5. And I actually guessed this one was a 10. This was one of the cards where I really thought was truly deserving of getting a 10. Please CGC, please agree with me. And CGC gives the card a 10. Fantastic. Out of the five Charizard Evolution cards, two of them came back the same exact grade and three of them got either a full grade bump or a half grade bump. Still, suffice to say, I think they're pretty consistent for the most part. And I am going to sell this card as [music] well. You know what? I'm kind of actually sick of this card. I've just submitted it so many times now that I'm okay with just getting rid of every single one I come across. Get out of here. This Charizard card I actually do really enjoy. It's special delivery Charizard. Pikachu is just smiling and is just peak enjoyment of his life. Never has he flown to such great heights on the back of his pal Charizard. >> Yeah, let's go. >> This one I got a PSA 9 and my guess was that it was going to get a 9.5 and CGC gives the card a 10. Awesome. Not so awesome is that the value has been going down quite a bit in this card. But that's okay. I am actually going to keep this one cuz I love it and I think it has a good long-term potential value. It has Charizard. It has Pikachu. What more can you want? I think the holo pattern is really cool. It's almost like a cosmos pattern with all the circles in the background. I think it looks nice. All right, let's move on. Probably one of the most popular modern cards currently is Magikarp from Pala Evolved Illustration Rare. This one, as I'm sure a lot of you know, also has Gyarados in the background. He's kind of like above Magikarp. Really, really angry at him for some reason. >> What should I do? >> Cuz he has no idea. I don't [music] think he's very smart. This one I got in a PSA 9. And my guess was that it was going to get a 9.5. [music] CGC gives the card a nine. A PSA 9 modern is not guaranteed to get a CGC 10. We got [music] went from a nine to a nine. Bit unfortunate, but after looking at it, yeah, I think it does deserve the nine. That's okay. Eat the loss like a champ. And move [music] on to the next card. Here we have Umbreon and Dark Rry GX Blackstar promo from the tag team collection. I love this card. Umbreon's one of my favorites. And Dark Ride is pretty cool. You know, he's pretty mysterious, pretty scary, pretty spooky. I'm I'm afraid of him. I thought it looked way too clean for an eight. It's like, how dare you PSA grade this an eight, you puffoons. CGC gives the card [music] a 10. Fantastic. That's great. And it's a beautiful, wonderful card. Oh, it's so incredible. I actually think this card looks really nice in a CGC slab. I am going to sell it, however, because I don't need it. Gyarados EX secret rare from Breakpoint. [music] You have red Gyarados about to absolutely devour the I think that's a manified. I could be wrong. I I'm not 100% sure, but he's hungry. This one I got in a PSA 9 and I contemplated not sending this one out back to CGC because of the left to right centering on the front, but then I had some other submissions where it didn't have great centering where it still got a 10. So I was like, "Okay, I'll send it to CGC anyway. Let's see what happens." And [music] I actually guessed it was going to get a 10 because everything besides the centering looked great to me. So CGC gave the card a nine, which is not good. the absolute biggest loss of this submission. One of my biggest losses of all time, mainly because I bought the card at such a high value cuz I'm not very smart. I'm going to sell it while it still has some value. It's unfortunate. I think there might be a world where it could get a 10 if you get a greater that's a bit more lenient on centering, but I'm not going to bother with it. I'm going to sell it. Tyranitar EX from Pop Series 1 Cosmos Hollow. I'm not really quite sure what Pop Series 1 is. If anyone knows what Pop Series 1 is, give me a novel in the comments. Just write a whole book about it and just enlighten me. I'm not quite sure. I think it's a pretty rare card. I got it in a PSA [music] 8. My guess was that it was going to get a 9.5. I love that in this card, Tyranitar seems to be really mad at something. I think he's probably mad at Pupitar. I hate you, Pupitar. >> Oh jeez, what did I do? >> Tyranitar is not very nice. CGC gives this card a nine. And there's an interesting thing here as well where there was a sale for this card and a CGC9 for like $400 and something, but one just sold recently on eBay for $850. So, I kind of split the difference there and put the value in the middle. Really awesome card [music] here. I am going to sell it though and say goodbye to it. Rockets Raichu EX from Deoxys. Now, imagine if you had Raichu as a dog and this was the first thing you saw when you woke up in the morning. Frankly, it would scare the crap out of me. This guy looks pretty aggressive. He's got his two big fangs. I don't think I could have this guy as my pet. He's very dangerous. My guess was that it was going to get a 9.5. Now, the reason why I guess for it was going to get a 9.5. And maybe the video won't show it as much as I'd like is that the bend, this card has such a weird and intense bend to it. I didn't know if CDC was going to take that into account at all. And I've heard that the bend shouldn't really matter because it should lay flat in the slab afterwards. And CDC gives the card a 10. Fantastic. So, the bend did not matter at all. I love the lightning bolts that are coming out of him. I love the silver shiny border. I'm going to keep this one. I love it. Blazakin EX from Team Magma versus Aqua. This one I got in a PSA 8. It looks like he's jumping out of [music] a time portal. He's come back from the future to save the current timeline from devastation. What's wrong, Blaz? Have you seen Ash? Ash? Yeah. Yeah. I I got to murder him. What? Yeah. Yeah. You You wouldn't understand. Okay. He's actually a terrible, terrible human being. He actually causes the destruction of mankind and all Pokémon. Gosh. Okay. I didn't know that. Yeah. Yeah. We We got to get rid of him. What's that between your legs? Oh, don't worry. That's just my pronounced crotch hair. Okay. Future Blazakin has pronounced crotch hairs. Just just just ignore it. I I can't stop looking at it. This one, I guess, was going to get a 9.5. CGC gives the card an 8.5. So, that's a bit of a disappointment. After looking at it, though, you can definitely see a little bit of edge wear in the back. I am [music] going to sell this one at a bit of a loss, but that's okay. The submission is going so well so far that I'm I will gladly sell it. Hopefully, maybe I'll get lucky and break even. Who knows? Okay, this card is fantastic. We have Rayquaza EX Dragon. I love almost every Rayquaza card. Okay, I think I have a different favorite one every week because I keep finding ones that are so amazing. This one, I just love his facial expression. He looks really surprised. Looks like he just walked in on a surprise birthday party. Oh, happy birthday, Rayquazeer. >> What for me? You shouldn't have. Although, he almost has like a Joker smile. >> You want to see a magic trick? >> Okay. Anyway, I got this one in a PSA [music] 8. And my guess was I was going to get a 10. I thought it looked fantastic. What can I say? Okay, I maybe I'm an idiot. Maybe I don't know anything because CGC gave the card a 10. [music] Let's have a little party, a little celebration. This card is fantastic. An interesting part about this card, too, is one's actually sold for 2,700, but there's some active listings [music] for 1,900. So, actually, I think the value I put is pretty fair, and I love this card so much that I'm keeping it. It's such a rare card. I think it has a good long-term [music] potential, and it's fantastic. Bla's Moltres First Edition Gym [music] Heroes. This one I got in a PSA 8. There's a nice little swirl underneath his feet in this card, [music] and I think there's another swirl up above. So, I think there's two swirls on this card. Woo, that's a lot of swirls. This one was actually a C that started with the number [music] six, which is a pretty earlier C for PSA, which I tend to avoid, but I was like, "This one looks so nice. I'm going to take the risk." My guess was I was going to get a 10. Once I cracked it out of the slab, I thought it looked beautiful. CGC gives the card a 10. I feel vindicated. I love it. I love the [music] card, but I'm going to sell it. Every time I go and look at this card, I just can't help but look at Blaine's face and see how angry it is, and I get scared. Up. Next we have Pichu Neoenesis first edition holo. I got this one in a PSA 7. I guess that it was going to get an 8.5. We [music] all know Pichu is adorable. CGC gives the card a nine, which I think is more fair. Yeah, you can definitely see some [music] hollow scratches on the front. It's still a card in really good condition. Definitely more deserving of a nine than a seven in my opinion. I'm happy with that [music] it graded a little bit higher than I guessed. With that being said, I am going to sell the card. Glass Toys base set hollow. Yeah, you can tell that the front centering is a little bit off, but I still thought it was within the realm of getting a 10. And I guess this one was going to get a 9.5. I thought it looked great. CDC ends up giving the card a nine, which is a little bit disappointing, but I still can't complain. After looking at it, I think there's some print lines a little bit or some horizontal scratching on the card. As much as I love my boy Blastoise, I'm going to sell them and we're going to take the profit and move on to the next one. Septile from EX Ruby and Sapphire Holo. This one I got in a PSA 9. Probably my favorite evolution from generation 3. Septile is peering over his shoulder like he's making sure no one's watching him because he's probably going to go do a dirty deed. Maybe he's going to go pickpocket the nearest Pokemon trainer and steal maybe some berries for a nice snack. And my guess was that this card was going to get a 10. And CGC gave the card a pristine 10. I put the value at around a PSA 10 price, but it might be a little bit more. With CGC pristines, they can probably fetch you a little bit more than PSA 10 if you're patient. Just a beautiful, amazing, unique card. I am going to sell it because again, I don't have like a personal attachment to Septile. I think he's cool and all, but I'm okay to get rid of them. >> You will regret the day you throw me aside like a common troubish. Uh, actually I think I like Trubbish more than You Septile. I'm sorry. Up next we have Charmander EX Dragon Hollow. [music] This one is actually really cool. The main reason why I think this card is awesome is cuz I like how his tail is lined up with like the volcano in the background, almost looking like the ember flames from his tail is part of the eruption of the [music] volcano. Really cool design. I'm assuming that was intentional, but that's what I'm taking away from this card. I got it in a PSA 8 and my guess was I was going to get a 10. And CDC gives the [music] card a 10, which is fantastic. That's awesome. Again, another unique rare [music] card from one of the most popular Gen One Pokemons. I'm really happy with this one. There's a nice little swirl to the left of him, and he's so adorable. The card is great. I'm going to sell [music] it. Let's go on to the next one. Sabrina's Gengar, Jim Heroes Hollow. This is the first Sabrina's Gengar card that I got in English ever, I believe, from PSA to CDC. I got this one in a PSA 7 and my guess was that it was going to get a nine. I just love like the English version of this card is so weird because there's no background. So, it's just Gengar like slightly to the right just smiling menacingly, I guess, like he does. Anyway, CGC gives the card an 8.5. So, a half grade lower than I expected, but still a bit of a value gain. As you can see, there's definitely some whitening on the corners and and edges and some hollow scratching. I think 8.5 is fair. Again, I think CGC is pretty fair almost every time. For the most part, I'm going to sell you Gengard. Okay, I'm just going to sell it, but it's nothing personal. So, please do not haunt my nightmares. Just let me go. Okay, we'll see about that, sucker. The last card in this submission, we have Gyarados Legendary Collection Reverse Holo. The legendary collection cards are really hard to gauge conditions of off PSA scans alone because again the front is so prone to scratches that [music] don't show up in scans sometimes. So I got in a PSA 8 and when I cracked it out I guess it was going to get an 8.5. And CGC gives the card a nine which was a little bit better than I expected. I'm happy about that. There's some corner whitening in the back, some edge whitening as well. So I'm thoroughly pleased with a nine. The card looks absolutely [music] beautiful and the reflection of light, the holo pattern actually look like fireworks. It's amazing. I'm going to sell the card cuz again, I don't feel the overwhelming need to keep the card. All right, let's go over the grade change results here. So, the PSA average was about 8.35. The CDC average was 9.5, giving an average bump of 1.15 or 13.7% [music] increase, which is awesome. That's fantastic and really interesting to see. Again, like I said earlier, I spend a ton of time trying to find cards that I believe should grade higher. If you took any random PSA card and try to send to CDC, I believe the gap between them would be a lot closer. [music] Okay, let's go over the final results. So, my total cost was about 5200. And if I guessed correctly, which I never do, my total value would be about 11,500. But my actual value is 13,500 with a profit of about 8,200, which is fantastic. I'm giving myself a grade of A+ for this submission. I got one pristine, which is always nice. We got 10 out of the 20 cards at least got a 10 or higher, which is perfect. [music] Super excited about this one. Also, feel free to join the Discord. There's a link in the description. Video description

I sent $5,000 worth of PSA-graded Pokémon cards to CGC for a full PSA to CGC regrade, and the results were absolutely wild. This submission was sent under CGC’s Economy tier (20 business day turnaround), yet CGC finished grading in just 4 business days! I also included 5 additional Charizard regrades from my previous Charizard Evolutions video, and some of the outcomes were completely unexpected. - Make sure to join the community discord for occasional giveaways, fun discussions, and be in the know when my next videos will come out!
