What you've been working on lately? >> Alhamdulillah, everything is going well with the Islamic bank. The bank license is ready soon. Inshallah, our website is online, isan.com. >> Sounds good. [sighs] >> But why are you still a little bit angry today? >> I learned about the root of all evil, the core of all problems. And I realized the bank that we want to build, it's like a beautiful bank building, right? Basically like the building behind us. Beautiful building. But how long does it last if we don't own the foundation, the core, the land beneath it? Because somebody can just dig a tunnel and the whole building will collapse. So we are fully enslaved. The Umar is fully enslaved. And this is what I realized while building this bank. >> How you realize that the Umar is enslaved and why you think like that? >> I mean everything that you want to build. Look at the phone. This is a regular phone. WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Revolute, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Maps, Google Drive, Google, Google Authenticator, Google Docs, YouTube, Instagram, Chat, GPT, PayPal. >> It's very all US and all Silicon Valley. >> The stocks are maybe Wall Street, everything else is Silicon Valley, which means all our data, all our money goes to one centralized spot. And this is why the UMA is enslaved. We are two billion Muslims. How is it possible that our whole life is basically controlled from a small circle of unelected people? How can we do anything? >> And I wouldn't say it's not only the Umah, it's the whole world. Basically the whole world is getting more and more enslaved, more regulations, more censorship, less freedom of speech. And even when I was researching about Islamic banking, Islamic finance, one of the main reasons why Islamic banks can't even be really Islamic is that they are also only built on top of a system that wasn't built by and wasn't built for them. So even if they want to be Islamic, it's super hard to do. >> Exactly. 100% right. Nothing works in a foreign system. It's all a scam because Islamic banking doesn't work in a haram banking system. The investments are never halal because yes, you buy some halal stocks, but they still finance the war. You buy gold, which is mostly from war zones. No freedom of speech. We all just get blocked. Even if we do zakat, we give charity, we need to understand that why is there even war? Why are there poor poor people? Everything we need to go to the core to the foundation of this problem so that we can build a longlasting legacy and an own system that will survive. >> So what's the solution and what's your next move? >> So I think I have a good plan but it's not ready yet and I already have my next trip I need to do Omrah. So inshallah I will get a good idea in Mecca or Medina. Thank you. >> How are you, bro? >> Oh, good. Yeah. Alhamdulillah. >> Look who's here. This is the hello business. Look, bro. >> So, the apps on our phone are only one thing. But look what's going on in the world. Companies channel billions into AI infrastructure as demand booms. We are talking about OpenAI, Oracle, Microsoft, Soft Bank, Chad GPT. The US wants to invest up to $500 billion dollar to fund infrastructure for artificial intelligence. And if we want that because more than enough people in the UMAH will use it anyways. I don't need AI. I don't need a phone. But if we want to make sure that it works at least built on Islamic principles, we need to create it from the UMAH for the UMAH and in best case with our own data centers, our own chips. special [music] [singing] >> [music and singing] >> So we are here with brother Muhammad Ali >> Salam. How do you feel after prayer in Medina? >> Yeah, I have to tell you that um the peaceful that I'm feeling here in the city that makes me feel that I don't have any issues. They don't have any problems. Everything is okay. Then I have to tell you that uh I've never felt it before like this. And uh yeah, exactly. Also, all the people here are very very they're very nice, very welcoming. Alhamdulillah, we arrived here in beautiful Medina. And by the way, I'm from Germany. I'm a Muslim revert. And subhan Allah, I reverted to Islam 3 years ago. And the first thing that I realized is the beauty of Islam is in its simplicity. It is crystal clear. And if I look at our beloved prophet Salah wasam who received a revelation,400 years ago. If I look at the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, the Sahaba, the first rightly guided Kiffs, the first Muslim civilization, then I realize they were on the straight path on Sirat al- Mustakim. Because only 70 years later after the revelation, the Muslim world already had their own currency, their own gold dinina with a beautiful shahada on the gold dinina. Only 100 years later, the Muslim world reached its greatest territorial extent ever. Only 150 years later, the House of Wisdom in Baghdad got established, which then later on triggered the Islamic Golden Age. So while Europe was in its dark ages, while Europe and the crusaders were killing and it was depressed, the Muslim civilization was not just civilized but thriving. And this is why Western history is hiding the fact that the Islamic Golden Age triggered the European Renaissance. And nowadays, if I look out of the window, the strength of Islam, it's the same. We are two billion Muslims. You can see Muslims from all over the world praying in the same direction. And our unity is the strength. We can see so many Muslims from Indonesia. How did Islam even spread to countries then like Malaysia and Indonesia? First and foremost, of course, because it's the truth. And secondly, we had our own currency with the shahada. In this great territorial extent, we had our own Muslim circular economy which is real Islamic finance, real Islamic trade based on real Islamic values. And even the international trade, the silk road was there to give dawa, to spread Islam peacefully to these countries. And yes, nowadays we lost it all. But then I realized there were many civilizations like the Ottomans who then even in difficult times tried to reestablish what we did before. And we need to follow the Sahabah and we should aspire to do the same even in the modern age. And I think I have a good plan and I want to share with you this plan in Mecca inshallah. and Her [music] [music] >> [music and singing] >> Look, we the Muslim world, we have everything. Capital, Masid Al Haram, 100 billion USD, the most expensive building in the world. Talent, 2 billion talented Muslims. We have energy and purpose. We did Umrah last night and I saw 70 maybe even 80 year old Muslims who didn't sleep but still had enough energy to fight themselves to the cabba. But the issue is at the moment that all the energy all the talent all the capital is wasted or going to other countries to other companies because we aren't building anything. But this has to change now inshallah with the digital Islamic golden age. An era where the Muslim world is building beautiful companies so that we can live according to our Islamic principle. So that we have Muslim role models. So that we believe in the superiority of Islam, can hire our imam, so that we can give dawa because the whole world will look up to the Islamic world. Because our companies represent the beauty of Islam. And the beauty of Islam is we don't even need to create anything out of thin air. We just need to unlock the potential which is already there. And we don't need the key of the cover to unlock this potential. We just need a platform. A platform which connects all the puzzles. And this platform is called the Muslim Silicon Valley where we connect the Muslim investors, the mentors, the um the talent and the startup to make this vision become a reality inshallah.
