Hi, I am in Zurich. I arrived yesterday and I am here at the Renuo offices for two special reasons that I am going to explain to you upstairs. The first special reason is that I came here from Barcelona to give a talk at the Rails meet up in Zurich. The second special reason is that I am here on a secret mission. We are going to present Marco Roth with the Rails Luminary Award 2025. He has been a prolific open source author for many years, traveling the world, showing his work and his passion with the community. And now he's doing an outstanding work with Herb and ReAction View. I am very proud to say that the Rails Luminary Award 2025 is going to be presented to Marco Roth.

Video description

The Rails Luminary awards are a way to acknowledge someone in the community who is doing excellent work to progress Rails through contributions, gems, ideas, or knowledge-sharing, and this year the award went to open source contributor Marco Roth. To present the award in person, Rails Core member Xavier Noria traveled to the Rails Höck meetup at the Renuo @renuoag2820 office in Zurich.
