Analysis Summary
Ask yourself: “If I turn the sound off, does this argument still hold up?”
Us vs. Them
Dividing the world into two camps — people like us (good, trustworthy) and people not like us (dangerous, wrong). It exploits a deep human tendency to favor our own group. Once you accept the division, information from "them" gets automatically discounted.

No, I you know the president I still got to communicate so we'll talk about it moving forward but I appreciate it guys. >> Yeah, the president and I have already talked obviously the statement went out but we need to we need to talk with the president and we're going to get on the same page and and do what things what we need to do at DHS. >> When when did you find out sir? >> Um a little bit before you guys did. >> Do you want the job any changes? >> Senator did you expect this? Let me uh guys, I I'll uh I'll talk to you all. Let me >> Now, we have breaking news that Chris Come is out as the Secretary of Department of Homeland Security, which is why you just saw Senator Mark Mullen being grilled by reporters because he has been tapped to replace her. There are so many reasons that has led to this decision from the president, but I think the answer to it just might shock you. So, let's start here. Watch >> breaking news. This comes a day after a difficult couple of days on Capitol Hill in both the House and the Senate for Christine Gnome, the Homeland Security Secretary. She is being replaced. Senator Mark Wayne Mullen is now going to take over her job. The president making the announcement on Truth Social just a short time ago. He writes, quote, I am pleased to announce that the highly respected United States senator from the great state state of Oklahoma, Mark Wayne Mullum, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security effective March 31st of this month of this year. The current secretary, Christine, who served as well and has had numerous and spectacular results, especially on the border, will be moving to be special envoy for the shield of the Americas, which is a new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere that they're announcing on Saturday at Dural in Florida. President says, "I thank Christy for her service at homeland." Uh so this comes amid uh reports that the president was none too pleased about the advertising campaign money that came to light during these hearings Sandra and uh so just in the last 24 hours we've heard a lot of rumors that Mark Wayne Mullen may be tapped to for DHS and now it appears the president has made that decision and that's going to happen the end of the month. >> Yeah, there was some uh reporting leading up to this that this could be the case. No confirmation had been made by the president himself until now. Uh but there was reports of um you know frustration uh inside the White House over uh some of the actions uh taken on the part of Christy Gnome. >> Well, I was definitely wrong on one thing. I didn't think the president had the balls to fire anybody in this administration, but she must have done enough that got him to the position where he had no choice. or they may think this is politically um essentially there's been so much backlash because of the propaganda obviously that's part of it. I think part of it also is her messaging after Renee Good and Alex Prey. I've been very consistent on that day one. I always said she shouldn't have been the one talking. Tom Hman should have been the one. And um you combine that with an election year going into the midterms. Uh this decision might be more about how do we make it appear to independents out there where he's underwater on that we are holding people accountable at the highest level. This is exactly what this looks like to me. I mean think of I I want you guys to really this is just breaking by the way. Think about this. The president of the United States Donald J. Trump had the balls to get rid of Chrissy Gnome but Joe Biden never had the balls to get rid of Morcus. who failed when it came to FEMA. No question. And the border. Now, just a brief moment. I have to mention this guys. Uh I have joined a platform called Shout Out. If you're looking for a special video from me, whether you want me to roast a family member of yours or you want me to do a birthday shout out for you or someone you care about or just to say hi in a video message, click the link in the description below. Uh it's shoutout.us/ us/deavory darkkins. Uh they're offering a 20% discount if you want that special video from me. Again, hit the link in the description below for a special video from yours truly. All right, let me play this next clip for you. Watch. >> Looking at the announcement though and looking at uh the touting President Trump does of Mark Wayne McMillan's uh record tenures in the US House of Representatives, three in the Senate. Uh the president says he's done a tremendous job with the people of Oklahoma. as the president pointed out somewhere, he did very well. U so obviously this is breaking news just now. President Trump uh making the formal announcement that uh that DHS secretary Christy Gnome will be replaced. John >> uh will and also the president taking note of Mark Wayne Mullen's status as a former undefeated professional MMA fighter. Also the only Native American uh in the Senate. Let's bring inh Jackie Hinrich. She's at the White House. Uh this uh the timing of this I guess was a little bit of a surprise. We didn't expect it quite this soon, but it was certainly expected. >> Well, you know, John, this president has been reluctant to shuffle his staff since really early in his second term when he moved uh national security adviser Mike Waltz over to ambassador of the UN. Since then, he's kept all of his folks sort of in position. Uh weathered whatever criticism comes their way. And Christie Gnome, the DHS secretary, has faced a turbulent period in the last few weeks uh amid the fallout, the the response to the ICE deportation campaign in Minnesota, some public statements that she made. Um, and then most recently this week, her testimony on Capitol Hill, there were reports that uh her defense of her campaign, her ad campaign, $200 million in spending that prominently featured her um sometimes on horseback, claiming that the president, according to these reports, had approved of that. Uh reportedly upset him. uh he wasn't happy about um giving the impression or give the impression that uh he had sort of authorized that amid this broader administration effort to root out fraud. >> Now here's the official statement from the president pleased to announce that the highly respected United States senator from the great state of Oklahoma. Mark Wayne Mullen will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security effective March 31st, 2026. The current Secretary Chrissy Gnome, who has served as well, has had numerous and spectacular results. She will be moving to special envoy for the Shield of the Americas. Guys, the bottom line is she's been fired. What the president's going to say face by just moving her to a position nobody cares about. That is the brutal truth. Now, when she's misrepresenting some of the statements or some of the policies that the president uh was focused on with this mass deportation operation when she was uh confronted by certain questions in her Senate hearing yesterday, they say that's what upset him. But I think a couple of things are happening all at the same time. She has this relationship going on with Corey, the no bid contracts, which that's a whole another thing, especially when you're talking about Doge. The amount of money spent on commercials that she was a part of. Okay. And then misrepresenting certain things in her hearing and her statements regarding Alex Party and Renee Good. And the fact that we're in an election year, I mean, it kind of makes sense to me. Oh yeah, and let's not forget Democrats are still holding DHS hostage. Maybe this was part of the deal. We'll fund this, but you got to fire somebody. All of this is obviously speculation because we're not in the room, but these are just a couple of ideas. >> So, she's being moved now um into another role, the special envoy for the Shield of the Americas, a new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere uh that they're announcing on Saturday. The president's been, you know, defensive of Christine Gnome for the last several weeks as she's faced questions about her ability to carry out her duties. He regularly pointed to the success uh closing the southern border, the fact that there have been, you know, no illegal immigrants caught and released into the interior of the US for several months, uh the fact that overdoses and murders are at historic lows, and pointed to those successes to sort of boost her up uh and defend keeping her in place. But it it seems like that testimony on Capitol Hill might have been a turning point. Uh there were also some reports that FEMA funding that was stalled um suddenly came through after questioning. And so this is a a rapid development of course and something we didn't expect until potentially after the midterms. This is a strange time uh for the president to um make that major of a shakeup. But there was, you know, sort of the writing on the wall after he elevated Tom Hman, his borders are, uh, to take a more prominent role in the ICE deportation campaign. It's well reported that there's been a a long-standing rift between Hman and Gnome uh, about how this should be handled. uh sort of the >> now the interesting thing about this announcement, it's as if Chrissy Gnome is not even aware yet uh because she's speaking live right now at some press conference where it's DHS communicating with local police officers about issues they're facing in their community regarding immigration enforcement. And during this entire coverage, it seems like her body language, her tone, it's like maybe she knows and she has a great poker face or maybe she doesn't realize that it's happened yet. Uh but let's show you just a brief uh clip of what she's saying. Watch. and those that step up into public service is to fulfill our duty to protect American citizens that they should come first under our Constitution and our laws and they should be prioritized and especially over other people who are from other countries. The Constitution demands that we treat our citizens that way and the men and women who serve at the Department of Homeland Security, they understand the importance of that and we also understand the importance of all of our law enforcement officers and what they do across the country to keep people safe. So, obviously, we can't confirm whether or not she knows, but I could tell you it definitely is awkward. Uh, they did have a clip of Senator Mullen. Uh, he was on the phone when reporters tried to confront him, so he hasn't taken any questions. He may have just found out himself as well. This is all fast movement. But one thing is for sure, which according to the reporting at this point that the president was watching the hearings in the House and the Senate with Christy Gnome over the past two days, and he was unhappy. And remember, we showed you guys the clip with Senator John Kennedy and other Republicans grailing her as if they were not in support of what she's been doing. They were questioning where is the money going. They were questioning the optics of a 737 with luxury bedrooms in it for DHS. Uh they were questioning her relationship with Corey. I mean, there was a lot of questions and not that much support, if that makes sense. And I think that's why uh MS Disinformation uh has this perception of what happened. Watch. >> We work in television, but no one out there perhaps watches more television than Donald Trump. And I'm thinking about the hearings over the the past couple of days. And to put it mildly, the hearings did not go well in the Senate or in the House. and they did not go well in a way that hearings have typically gone well in for Donald Trump, which is to say we have seen very little melting from the GOP in in oversight contexts, in confirmation context, in congressional contexts, the the rarity, the rarest of rarities has been Republicans standing up to Donald Trump. And with Christine Gnome the last couple of days the Republicans in Congress had confidence that they had a vehicle to do that that was safe for them. Right? The number one principle in legislator for legislators is self-preservation. And that's why they haven't stood up to Donald Trump. We know that the other the last couple of days standing up to Christine Gnome was something that you saw a number of Republicans who very very rarely are out of lock step with Donald Trump. >> Jake says they reviled her. They hated her. Um, and you could see it, you can see it in the hearing. There there was a difference with the way that they were dealing with her and and I wonder where that comes from because I mean there's a lot of controversy in this administration. There's a lot of people who say things that certainly make I imagine people on on Capitol Hill uncomfortable, including the >> Now me and you may say, "Well, it's not a big deal regarding the luxury bedrooms and the uh 737 uh Max Boeing airplanes. Uh maybe it's not a problem." her no bid contracts that she essentially allowed to take place. Uh but in the eyes of promising your constituents, particularly people who support the president of Doge and cutting out fraud, waste, and abuse, that doesn't look good whatsoever. That's true. Is it enough to have her be fired? I don't know. Again, there's multi it could be a multitude of things. It could be the Republicans themselves is telling the president, "No more of Christ." Or it could be Democrats threatening that they will not fund DHS unless she's gone. Or the president was watching her hearings and said, "You know what? I don't like her anymore. I'm done." And when you throw all that together, you could see why it led to the decision that ultimately came for her. Now, it's not just my opinion. Fox News is saying the same thing essentially. Take a listen. Okay, so let's go to Jackie with that news because John, this might have been ultimately what led the president to make this firm decision. Jackie, the news. >> Yeah, we're we're still getting bits and pieces. Uh but can confirm that the president said that he does not uh he was not aware of the ad campaign that Christy Gnome was questioned about on Capitol Hill this week, $200 million in spending that prominently featured her sometimes on horseback. uh in her testimony uh when she was questioned by Senator John Kennedy um indicated that the president had authorized this expense um and approved of it and that according to reports upset the president um especially with when they're trying to cut back on unnecessary spending and can confirm from a White House official um that the president said that he didn't know about that ad and did not authorize it. So, a difference there between what Christine Nome said um you know under questioning from lawmakers and what transpired here and that might have been the tipping point after weeks of the president facing questions about Gnome's ability to carry out her duties as DHS secretary. of course, you know, her public statements that she made um in the aftermath of the uh deaths of two people in in Minnesota um and the sort of quick statements that that cast those individuals um in a light that perhaps at the moment they were made didn't weren't cautious enough. The president got a lot of questions about that and whether those uh statements were responsible and uh up until now had vehemently defended her and pointed to the successes at the southern border. Um the fact that there have been no illegal immigrants caught and released into the interior of the country, improvements on uh things like the murder rate and overdoses as data points to build her up. So the bottom line is Christ you know met the same fate as Mike Waltz once they made a decision that the president did not agree with uh and became too politically toxic for him especially in this election year. He had to do essentially uh to her that he did with Mike Waltz. He fired her and then moved her into a position that they had to essentially create. Meaning she's going somewhere where no one really cares about. That's the brutal truth to the matter. And so the bottom line to it all uh do I support this? the this call from the president. Yeah, I do. Uh I think this looks good to independents out there in election year that shows that the president's willing to hold his own people accountable. Now, you may be a fierce supporter of Christ, but I think in this particular situation, it's not a stretch to see why uh she is gone based on based on everything we discussed in this particular video. So, why don't you guys let me know your reaction to this breaking news. Uh let me know if you agree with this decision from the president. If so or not, explain it in the comment section below. Now, let's go to our next update because this is a heartbreaking story. Another American citizen uh was stabbed at the bus stop in Virginia uh and was killed by an illegal alien. And guess what? This scum was arrested over 30 times. Now, the DA is facing not only backlash, but calls to resign, including the governor of Virginia herself. If you guys missed out on that update more, click on that video because it's coming up right now.
