Analysis Summary
Ask yourself: “What would I have to already believe for this argument to make sense?”
Character flattening
Reducing a complex person to one defining trait — hero, villain, genius, fool — stripping away nuance that would complicate the narrative. Once someone is labeled, everything they do gets interpreted through that lens.
Fundamental attribution error (Ross, 1977); Propp's narrative archetypes (1928)

So, in the latest news regarding the Blake Lively versus Justin Baldoni [music] case, Blake Lively is now appealing to the court, [music] she is begging the judge to seal some of the communications that have been introduced as evidence in the [music] case, particularly some text messages between her and reportedly Taylor Swift and others who have something to do with this case. She wants to keep these communications sealed. Not all of them, just some, some very specific ones because according to Blake and her lawyers, if this information comes out to the public, her life and the life of the people involved in these communications could be in danger. First of all, what could be in those text messages that could cause Blake Lively to fear for her life if they become public? Okay, that's number one. But number two, didn't she know that by filing this lawsuit, these things would have to come out and be public? You see, this is a civil case. Basically, it is a lawsuit that has to do with reputations. And Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni are celebrities. They are engaged in public-f facing jobs. And so, the public has a really big interest in finding out as many details about this case as possible. Blake Lively launched this lawsuit by giving information preemptively to the New York Times who wrote an explosive article with put this thing in the public's eye. Justin Baldon's reputation has taken a hit as he is being accused of some very unsavory things. So, you would think that she would expect a very vigorous defense on the part of Justin Baldoni and the other people she is going after. She would expect that they would want to extract as much evidence as possible, including private communications that Blake is involved in. Blake should have known that this was going to happen, that these things were going to come out. And let's say that she was naive, that she's never been a part of such a lawsuit. Her lawyers no doubt sat her down from the very beginning before any paperwork was filed. They explained to her, "These are the kinds of things that you're going to have to give to the court and once they go in the docket, they're going to be part of the public record and you're going to have to expose some private communications. Everything that has to do with the things that you're accusing this man of is going to have to come out. that is part of his defense. So, are you prepared to go through with this? Do you still want to go through with this lawsuit? And Blake said, "Yes, let's file." So, why is she acting so, I don't know, caught off guard, requesting that the judge not allow certain things to come out because her life could be in danger. I talked about this in another video where I said Blake started this. She never imagined that it was going to get to this point, that it was actually going to go to court. She really thought that Justin Baldoni was going to cry uncle that he was going to be so terrified of the lawsuit that he was going to beg her for them to settle that he was going to give her money. They made a lot of money in that movie. He made more money because he owns the right to the movie It Ends With Us. And so he made the bulk of the money. It was a very successful movie. And not only did Blake look forward to taking this franchise from Justin, but I think she wanted his money, too, because I think that in the back of her mind, she believes that because she was the person who was the the main character in the film and based on her strong arm negotiations, or should I say blackmail activities, in my opinion, she really felt that she was the author and finisher of that movie and that she deserved to have the bulk of the money. So, I believe that she truly thought that by just threatening to take him to court, Justin was going to hand over the money, hand over the rights of the movie, and walk away. Blake never imagined that it would come to this stage where we are in discovery and her private communications are about to come out. This is how I know this was never a serious endeavor. Blake didn't want justice. Blake wanted what she believed was hers. The money, the vindication. This is not a serious lawsuit. If this was something that Blake Lively wanted to see all the way through, she would have been prepared to expose these text messages and other communications, even if they didn't happen during work hours. Because what she's alleging needs to be proven with communications that may extend to people who were not involved in the movie, that she talked to them about the movie. It might include communications with her husband. It might include communications with her close friends and family, but this all has to come into play. And the fact that she's acting all like she's completely taken off guard is just a sign that she just wasn't prepared for the smoke. It's the same thing when she dropped the um what is it called? mental duress that she had at first alleged in the original lawsuit that she had said that this was affecting her psychologically. And when it came time for her to sit down for a psychological evaluation, she was like, "Oh, never mind. I'm dropping that part." Didn't you think this was going to happen? She didn't. She didn't think that this was going to go all the way to court. She didn't think this was going to get all the way to discovery. But here we are. Here we are. And um this every time I hear more things about this case, the worse Blake Lively looks. Justin Baloni, who's the person being accused, has not blocked anything. She is talking about the signal messages. Oh, he's trying to to to not show the signal messages, the disappearing messages. They disappear, honey. It's like Snapchat. It's like Instagram stories. Once it's gone, it's gone. unless you save it. But why would they save it if they weren't expecting a lawsuit? Because you went through lengths to hide the fact that this lawsuit was coming. the whole Vans thing where you subpoenaed one of Justin Baldon's PR people their phone through a company that nobody would associate with you so that it couldn't be challenged in court and you could get this information so you could launch your lawsuit. How did Justin know that this was coming? Why would he preserve communications before the lawsuit? So, uh, yeah, this this is clearly an indication to me that Blake Lively has been caught flatfooted. And this tells me that she really doesn't want this to go to court. So, why is she still proceeding? Because the longer this thing has gone, the worse she has looked. And I think that she feels like she's trapped between the devil and a hard place because if she drops the lawsuit, it's not going to be a good look. If she goes to Justin to try to settle this, then he has the upper hand. And he's the one who gets to call for the conditions. He's like, "Okay, you want to drop this? You're afraid of the bombs that are coming? Okay, I want this and this and this and this." And once she goes in court, do you know how bad this would look for Blake? Blake has been working overtime, her and her PR team going to magazines, the latest magazine, the US Weekly article that they put out with experts saying that Blake is winning and she's ahead when we know that that is not the case. And the funny thing is this article I saw when they put the link in in uh on Instagram and when you read the comments thousands of comments people saying team Baldoni justice for Justin Blake is lying Blake is losing. There wasn't one comment that I saw that was team Blake. The public is already on Justin's side, and Blake knows this, and things are looking worse and worse. When Justin's lawyer dropped the bombshell that Taylor Swift had received a threatening call from Blake's lawyer trying to blackmail her into supporting Blake, the case has been just going downhill since then. What more is going to come out? What is in those text messages that if it were to come out, it would be so devastating to Blake Lively and the people she was talking to? What is it? You shouldn't have done this, Blake. You should not have launched this lawsuit. And it is almost too late to backtrack and say, you know what, I I thought it was one thing, but I misread the situation and I was just too heated. My mind was not in the right place. I lost my dad. I was going through postpartum. Everything was on top of me. People were criticizing me in the public and I just couldn't take it anymore. And I I'm I'm sorry I did this. It's kind of too late for that. There was a window of time for her to do that, but that window has closed. And so Blake Lively at this point has to ask herself, how much longer will the bleeding continue to happen? Am I willing to fight to the death, to fight to the point of no return? Because I tell you one thing, Ryan Reynolds is not willing to lose his career. For Ryan, this is psychological. Ryan has been very open in past interviews talking about the fact that he is the guy that needs for people to like him. That's why he's funny. That's why he was a comedian. That's why he he he loves to do these funny movies because he just wants people to like him. And when you listen to his background and the things that he says about his upbringing, how he was the youngest of was it four or five brothers, I don't remember, but he had a bunch of older brothers and they bullied him and they beat him up and it was hard. And people who have that kind of trauma spend the rest of their lives wanting to please people, wanting people to like them because they felt so unloved and unliked growing up. And so Ryan Reynolds career, it's more than just a money thing. Ryan needs the public on his side. And right now the public can't stand him because of his wife's lawsuit that I believe he was the mastermind of. We've talked about this in other videos. So this is this is a crucial junction right now. Are you really going to go for broke? Are you really going to risk everything your reputations in Hollywood and in the eyes of the public to prove a point and in trying to prove the point? You will end up proving the point of the person who you've tried to accuse. Will you prove the point of your haters by continuing to go through with this knowing that you don't have a case? There was no concerted harassment campaign against you. None of us who've been making these videos were contacted by Justin Baldoni and his people. We weren't paid to talk about you. You did this to yourself. And it's getting worse every day. So my advice to these folks, when you're on a runaway train that is about to crash against a wall, jumping off of the train, you're still going to get hurt. You're going to get hurt. You're going to get cuts and bruises. And you're going to get covered in dust, but you might survive. Because once that train hits the wall, there's nothing left. Don't hit the wall, Blake and Ryan. Jump off now. Leave with the clothes on your back. Okay? Don't stay on. Don't do it. Don't do it. Anyway, that's the video for [music] today. Thank you so much for watching.
