It looks like Lenovo is cooking up a really crazy foldable handheld for the near future. Recent leaks suggest that Lenovo is working on a device that basically transforms from a laptop into a handheld. And I kind of wanted to dive into what we know so far in this video and by the end ask you guys some questions what you think about this upcoming device. So, the news first broke over at windows latest.com. I'll drop a link in the description for those who want to check out the full details. But it seems like this may be a concept device, but knowing Lenovo, we could definitely see something like this come to market because Lenovo does have a track record of pushing the envelope when it comes to new innovative devices. And I put that into quotations. But if you look back at the ThinkPad X1 Fold, it was the world's first foldable PC. It featured a flexible OLED screen. You could go to laptop mode, tablet mode. Really kind of hit when it released. It was pretty cool. First of its kind really to hit a mass market in. They've also introduced some really awesome stuff to the handheld scene like the Legion Go with the detachable controllers that go into FPS mode. Detachable controllers had definitely been seen before from 1X player. But uh when it comes to the Legion Go and the Legion Go 2, we got that FPS mode. You could use the right controllers kind of a mouse to play your favorite firstperson shooters. But then again, we could also look back at something like the Lenovo C plus. This is a concept smartphone device with a fully flexible display that you wore around your wrist. It was introduced in 2016 and this was something I was really excited about. When I saw images of it online, I was like, "This definitely could be the future." But it never came to fruition. So, there's a chance we won't see the new Lenovo Legion Go Fold. But, uh, then again, with all of the technology going foldable and just crazy stuff happening, everybody trying to do something a bit different, this device could be on the horizon. But thanks to Windows latest.com, we do have some information on this possible upcoming or concept device from Lenovo. And we're going to be calling it the Lenovo Legion Go Fold. So obviously, if it's going to be transforming from a laptop to a handheld, we're going to start out in kind of laptop mode. It does seem that something like this would have a detachable keyboard. So you can go to the full screen mode, which is an 11.6 in display. So you've got the big screen handheld mode with the controllers attached to the side. But like I mentioned, this is a foldable device. And right in the midsection of that screen, you could fold this over and go to a smaller handheld device. And it looks like this screen size could be around 7.7 in once you fold that 11.6 in screen in half. Attach those controllers to the side. And now we've got a smaller, more portable handheld. Some of the specs have also been leaked here. And they're stating that this is actually going to be powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7258V. We've seen this chip in the MSI Claw 8 AI. It's a great performer. It is on par with something like the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, but I was really hoping to see a Panther Lake chip in something like this. I mean, with that new B390iGPU, Panther Lake can definitely dominate the handheld scene, but we'll have to wait and see. 32 GB of RAM, a PLED foldable display from 7.7 in up to 11.6, six. And supposedly the right controller has a small built-in screen that'll act as a touchpad and mouse. Looks something like this from the initial renders. Personally, I could do without a little screen built into the controller. Just give me a touch pad like we see on the Legion Go or the Legion Go 2 and I'd be totally fine with it. And the final thing here is the battery. With the thin and light device, given that it's a foldable, it does have a smaller battery, stating that it may come in around 48 W hours. I do want to mention that this is all based on leaks, but I could see something like this being released. Now, I'm not exactly sure what market this would really hit on because when it comes to like handheld gamers, some of us do prefer a smaller screen, but one thing I think we can all agree on is just a much larger battery and more performance. Coming in with that same chipset as the MSI Claw AI, which is still a good performer right now, especially given that Intel is updating those ARC drivers and we're gaining tons of performance in different games. It would be nice to see something that's just going to put down more performance like a Panther Lake chip. And a lot of us would love to see a larger battery. But I'd like to know in the comments below. I mean, if price isn't an issue, is this something you'd be interested in? Would you skip it all together? Could you utilize this in kind of laptop mode with that 11.6 in display? And then when it's time to game, fold it up, go with that smaller screen, or even leave it in that 11.6 in mode and game like that. I'd love to know what you think about this thing in the comments below. And if we do get any more information, I will post it in my community section, but I figured it was cool enough to make a quick video on. And like always, thanks for watching.
