Analysis Summary
Performed authenticity
The deliberate construction of "realness" — confessional tone, casual filming, strategic vulnerability — designed to lower your guard. When someone appears unpolished and honest, you evaluate their claims less critically. The spontaneity is rehearsed.

Worth Noting
Positive elements
- This video provides a concise summary of current PC hardware rumors and official updates regarding FSR4, Nvidia's supply chain, and the Steam Machine.
Be Aware
Cautionary elements
- The use of hyperbolic language ('lost their mind', 'real competition') to describe standard industry maneuvers can lead to a distorted perception of market volatility.

AMD needs to do this right now. AMD is releasing one wild GPU. The Steam Machine [music] is coming and a serious GPU competitor is days away. Welcome everyone to Gamer Mouth. Time has come for AMD to release 4 on older GPUs. There's zero reason they haven't done it already, and this is me calling them out. And of course, if AMD doesn't want to listen to me, look at a recent thread in the Radeon subreddit. People are ready for it. And what's so wild is the fact that AMD already has it. For those who haven't followed along with this story, well, first you really need to subscribe to Gamer Mel so you can keep up with all the latest PC hardware news. But as a quick recap, AMD originally told us that FSR4 was only supported on the 9000 series because it's the only generation that has FP8 support. And at the time, most people took them at their word. I mean, it is true that older cards don't have FP8. But the real problem happened when AMD accidentally leaked FSR4 because it showed us that the company had not only been working on a version that used in 8, which RDNA 3 and RDNA 2 support, but it showed us that it actually worked fairly well. Sure, there's a bigger drop in performance of our FSR 3.1, but it's still better than native. So, why on earth hasn't AMD released this yet? I mean, there's really no good reason in my mind other than they want to sell more RDNA4 cards. They could easily release this as a beta. I highly doubt that they would need to put much work into it at all really. But instead, they're working on things like AI software bundles and Radeon drivers. There was a recent rumor about an AI tab that seems to include FSR4 in it. So maybe, just maybe, AMD is actually releasing something. Not too long ago, AMD told Hardware Unbox that there wasn't an update on it, so I'm not going to get too hopeful. Regardless, it's definitely time. Nvidia is releasing a GPU that proves the company has lost their mind. And no, I don't mean the recently leaked 9 GB RTX 5050. That one is pretty wild. But this, oh boy. The story originally comes from this South Korean media outlet where they claim that Nvidia is actually tapping into Samsung's old 8 nanometer foundry to bring back their RTX 3060. Are you kidding me? >> That's right. The GPU Nvidia released all the way back in 2021 is making a comeback. Now, this may sound similar to calls for AMD to bring back their 5800 X3 or MSI releasing new AM4 boards, but the difference here is that there's really no reason Nvidia couldn't just relaunch their 4060, except for the fact that both the RTX 40 series and 50 series use the same process node, meaning the same process node that Nvidia's Blackwell AI chips are made from. When you think of that, it makes a lot more sense. AMD releasing their 5800 X3D again would help gamers get a decent CPU on the AM4 platform so they could use cheaper DDR4. But both the 8 GB 3060 and 4060 use the same VRAM. Sure, the 4060s is a little faster, but I highly doubt that explains the move all the way back to a two generations old card. Back at CES 2026, Jensen Hang was asked about bringing back older GPUs to help ease the pressure of shortages, and he said that it was a good idea. So, we know that this is definitely in the cards. Now, don't get me wrong, I fully understand why Nvidia doesn't want to move more AI production over to gaming. It makes perfect sense from a business standpoint, but don't forget that this isn't the first time gamers have seen shortages affect pricing of gaming cards. Between AI and crypto, it's tough to remember a time when GPUs sold at MSRP. So, I definitely think they need to do something before the gaming market just completely gets fed up. So, we have an update from Valve on the launch of their highly anticipated Steam machine. Remember that it was originally set to launch in early 2026. Then it moved into the first half of 2026. And the last thing we heard from Valve was that they hope to release it this year, meaning we could have been looking at a 2027 launch date. In that post, they understandably blamed it on memory and storage shortages. And there were rumors up until that point that there was going to be a delay. and Valve obviously doesn't control the memory market. This is something that is having a huge impact on companies large and small. So, no one can really be mad at Valve for moving it back. With that said, I do have some decent news because the company just changed that recent update in their Steam year review post where they now say, quote, "We shared recently that there have been challenges with memory and storage shortages, but we will be shipping all three products this year. More updates will be shared as we finalize our plans. So, yeah, not great news because it's almost certainly not going to be early this year, but at least it's become firm that they plan to launch all three products in 2026. Time will tell if this really does happen, but at least for now, it looks good. It's actually happening. A new GPU competitor is just a couple days away from release. Not months, not weeks, but days. And both Nvidia and AMD may need to worry a bit because I'm talking about the G100 GPUs that I discussed earlier last year when they were initially announced. Remember that the G100 series is split up into two variants. A gaming card called the 7G 106 and a professional GPU called the 7G 105. Both cards are built on PCI Express 4.0 0 and come with GDDR6 memory with the 7G 105 getting 24 GB of memory and ECC support and up to a very impressive 24 teraflops of FP32 compute. Moving over to the gaming card, it gets 12 GB of memory, four display port 1.4A ports, freeync support. I mean, it's really not bad. But what's even more wild is that even though this is a new company, they already claimed to offer API support for DirectX12, Vulcan 1.3, OpenGL4.6, 6 and open CL 3.0. So that is of course pretty impressive. Not only that, but according to the company, it's set to be right around the 4060s performance. Now, that may not seem all that great, but for a company that just launched back in 2021, if it's even remotely true, that is pretty impressive. And we've actually seen an Open CL benchmark that does show the card beat a 4060. With that said, we absolutely know how hard it is to make a competitive GPU. Not just hardware- wise, because believe it or not, that tends to be the easy part, but in software drivers. Even with all of Intel's money, they had a really tough time early on. So, the chances of a company like this releasing a card with release drivers that offer great support in a ton of games is essentially impossible. Plus, we've seen other Chinese companies make bold claims early on, which don't translate well to most games. Either way, they claim to be releasing the new card on March 12th. So, this is a reminder to both AMD and Nvidia that they have to make better products.
