You might already know this, but if you buy Fleer or Skybox or even, you know, a variety of vintage packs, you're in for like a surprise usually before you can even get to the cards. And I'm going to try to help you navigate this surprise. So, the surprise is not the uh or the Scott Rolland baseball bat, but I'm sure that's pretty special. But the surprise is [music] this, man. Ricky Henderson. It's a great looking picture, isn't it? It's a great shot. There's probably some other good ones in here, too, but you get the point, right? It's [music] they're stuck. They're bricked. Don't start pulling them apart. You pull them apart, you'll pull the finish right off them. And I can't say I can save every one of them, but I can tell you this confidently out of every single thing I've tried. Doing a little uh a lot of humidity will help. So, I'm putting these in here [music] right now, but my right now my humidity is at 75%. And I am going to leave this in here [music] for probably a day or two. You know, we'll we'll check these out. So, hurry up and wait. but it's the best way to potentially get these cards apart without uh ruining them. Stay tuned. We'll do it together. All right, fast forward 32 hours. I started these yesterday morning and throughout the day yesterday, you guys, I'd come in here. I'd open it up. Not a lot cuz I want to keep the humidity in there, but I would grab the pack and like just feel it. Give it a little kind of movement. Not much. But today I came in and I noticed that the cards look like they've opened up a little bit. And [music] so I can't guarantee this is going to work every time, but you know how heavy they were when we started. You know, like I got another pack here that's just pure brick. And I'll do the same thing, but I was able to get these to come apart. Derek Jeter. That's cool, right? And the nice part was like, let's take a closer [music] even closer look. The surface isn't all pulled off. You know, there there's couple [music] like these are super sensitive when you get to like an insert. Those are real sensitive. But anyways, use your humidor if you are going to be crazy and buy old packs that are stuck together. I hope that helps. I'm Kurt with Kurts Card Care.
Video description
Saving cards that are bricked or stuck together is tricky. Through all my years of experiments, I can say high humidity produces the best results. Kurt 🤘🏼 #kurtscardcare #thehobby #baseballcards #collectibles
