I'm half Indian and half Irish. I just thought I would tell you now so you're not guessing in your head. I'm very confused about my cultural identity because I look Italian and also white people are always appropriating Indian culture. You know, okay, namaste. Um, my morning routine every morning is I wake up, I do yoga, and I have a chai. Am I doing that because I'm Indian or because I'm white? I've never been to India, which is surprising because I'm half Indian, but it's even more surprising because I'm half white. A white girl that's never been to India sounds like somebody hasn't found themselves.

Video description

Two years sober. Questionable dating history. One very uncomfortable trip to the pharmacy. In her stand-up set from Just For Laughs, Maddy Kelly unpacks dating older comedians, the humiliation of buying Plan B, why bass guitar makes no sense, and what it really means to be half Indian and half Irish in a very white yoga class. From cultural identity crises to grandparents training for a shipwreck, Maddy’s sharp, self-aware comedy hits hard and stays smart.
