Analysis Summary
Worth Noting
Positive elements
- This video offers practical 'BOLO' (Be On the Lookout) examples, such as selling broken sunglasses frames or untested electronics, which provides genuine educational value for novice flippers.
Be Aware
Cautionary elements
- The 'survivorship bias' inherent in showing only successful sales can lead viewers to underestimate the amount of 'dead stock' or losses a full-time reseller actually incurs.

Coming up, you will see some items I sold for less than $10, some in the $20 range, and a few items I've sold for over $100. So, stay tuned to see what I've sold on eBay in the past 3 days. >> Speak and choose resale. >> Hey everybody, my name is Tim and I'm a full-time reseller and I sell on eBay and also at local flea markets. As you see, I am an everything seller here on eBay. I just want to show you 30 items I've sold in the past 3 days on eBay for a total of $1,282. So, starting off, we will have this item. Ironically enough, we sold different copies of Spider-Man 2 for Xbox 360 and one for PS3. I have a dollar in one of them and about five in the other. So, a total of $6 cost of goods and $40 of sales. So, not too bad. Up next, we have a Xbox 360 hard drive. These go for good money about 20 to 25 bucks. I sold this one, which one I sold this is a 320 gig for 20 bucks. I pulled it off of a non-working 360. Another video game bundle that I sold is the Avatar for the Wii. So, there's two games. I sold it for $19. You can't see the game very clearly. This is Caroline for the PS2, a super rare PS2 game. That's why I have it carefully wrapped and protected. I sold it for $179.95, so not too bad. I paid about 50% when I bought a collection, so about half the cost of goods. This is a Donovan Mitchell Louisville jersey. 20 I sold it for $27.99. Cost of goods was about $5.99 at a Goodwill. It might be kind of hard to see, but this is Super Mario RPG for Nintendo Switch. I pulled it out of a Nintendo Switch that I got. I paid 125 for the Switch. So, this came out to be about $24.95. So, basically making me pay about 100 bucks for this Nintendo Switch, which is not too bad. Even non- workinging poor condition Pokemon games from the Game Boy can go for good money. So, Pokemon Red sold for $40 and Pokemon Silver for $35. Uh, both have very conditions, as you can see from the pictures, but I still got a decent amount. I paid, I think, 50 cents at a yard sale for these. So, uh, even if you pay out for them about 20 bucks, you can still make pretty good margins on these games, even if they're not working. I found this Maryland Terrapens, uh, bucket hat from a Goodwill bins. I paid maybe less than a dollar and sold for 14, so not too bad. Slow, easy sales and easy to ship. Just put into a poly mail. The margins are pretty small for these, but these are yard flags. I picked these up for about 50 cents to a dollar either at the Goodwill bins or at yard sales. Takes about 30 minutes to post about 10 of them, so it's not too bad. Easy money. This one cashed out at $1.95. I stopped by a yard sale. was a bunch of laundry detergent and I was kind of disappointed. But then I did find this Black Diamond uh kids mountain climbing shoe. I paid a dollar for it and it sold for $18. So after shipping, I'm making about 10 bucks. So not too bad. Whenever I'm browsing Facebook Marketplace and looking for a Nintendo Switch bundle, I make sure the games add up to more than its value. So this right here was included in Nintendo Switch bundle and Mario Kart sold for $35 and Donkey Kong sold for $31. I'm pretty sure I only paid 150 bucks for Nintendo Switch bundle. So, these two made most my money back already. Some hard negotiations went down at this yard sale. They originally wanted $200 for this Lego set. Has it been opened before? >> Has it been open? >> Yeah, I opened the box to look at it and >> Okay. >> What's your asking price on it? >> Uh, we're asking 200. Do you >> That was brand new. >> Yeah, that's what it is. Brand new. >> Okay. >> For 225. Okay. >> So, that's with it not with the seal not being broken, >> right? So, >> 100. >> You do 100 for it? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Would you do 90 cash? >> Yeah. >> Okay, sweet. But after noticing that it has been already opened, the bags were not open, but the box was. They said they'll take an offer of 100. Uh, and I offered them 90 as a counter. And I got this right here, and it sold for $180 pre-owned/open box. This is your sign to pick up broken sunglasses. Even if the lens are shot or destroyed, you can still sell a sunglasses frame for good money. Typically sunglasses frames go for about 15 upwards of 30 or 50 bucks depending on this brand. This is actually a pair of Oakleys and this lens were pretty bad. They were asking 50 cents for it. I gave them a dollar cuz I didn't want to change and so I have a dollar in this as cost of goods and it sold for $35 with free shipping. This is a woman's lol bean pover sweater I found at a Goodwill for $5.99. It sold for $24.99 plus $5.99 in shipping. So pretty good uh turnover in terms of margins. I am a huge advocate of selling plush animals, especially ones from Goodwill bins. I found this for less than a dollar at the Goodwill bins and it sold for $16.99. As long as you're honest about your listing, broken things can sell for pretty good money. This is an untested cassette player and it sold for $24. I found it at a Goodwill bins for less than a dollar, so not too bad. Historically, I avoided selling any video games less than $15 on eBay just because after fees, it cuts into the profit margins pretty heavily. But I picked these up for really cheap, so I decided to post them anyways. I found this Super Mario coin. It's just a coin, not even a game, in a bin full of video games at a yard sale. Cost of goods is probably zero because everything else is already profited. And this over $14, so it's not too bad. Another example of a cheap game is this Dead by is this Dead by Daylight. I paid a dollar for it and for 12 bucks. So after fees and free shipping, I may I may be only making about five bucks. So not too bad for only about 3 minutes work. Another example is also even less than a $10 game. This is a $8.99. This sold for $8.99. I only paid a dollar for it. So after fees and shipping, I make about maybe four, three to four bucks. But even for 3 minutes of my time, it's still worth it when I feel motivated. The key to success on eBay is actually consistency. Yes, you should be going out to find stuff, going out to source, which is really fun, but the key is consistently posting on eBay. I don't specialize in vintage clothes, but sometimes when I do see it, I pick it up. This is a vintage 2T like come with coveralls and it sold for $14.99 plus $5.99 in shipping. So, not too bad for less than a dollar from Goodwill. This next item uh I paid up for a little bit at a yard sale, but it took a lot of time for me to post it because I didn't feel motivated to count all the pieces in it. It's actually really good stuff. If you see them for cheap, pick them up. This was actually kind of heavy cuz it has tons of cards. It's Bakugan stuff. It has tons of little these brawlers and cards. Uh, I had to take really good photos of it and I took a best offer. I posted for 75 and took a best offer of $65. Here's one of those low dollar sales that I just picked up because I thought I could do pretty well with it. I found this at Goodwill bins for less than a dollar. This is older expired ink, but still brand new. Um, I listed it for $1.99 and it sold, so it's not too bad. After fees and shipping, I probably get about four bucks. Whenever I can find Jordans for cheap, I typically pick them up. I picked this one up for a dollar at a yard sale. This is a Jordan 13 Black Cat. It's a youth size 2 Y and it sold for $29.99 with shipping, so not too bad. It sold within 2 days. I walked up to a yard sale and a lady had a table full of Barbies and I bought a bunch of other ones that haven't sold yet, but this one sold pretty quickly for $23.99 and I only paid I think 50 cents to a dollar for this one. This is another one of those 50 cents turned into about $10 in sales. So I paid 50 cents for this at a yard sale. It's a Disney Eort ornament. It's a season to be selling ornaments and this for 950. So after shipping fees, I'm making about 3 to four bucks. Uh, so just always look out for these small items, pick those up. I do so always check the sales through rate as well and sell them in season. Now, this find even surprised myself because I typically don't pick up watches, but for a dollar a piece, I was worth the gamble for me. I had no idea what this watch was until I came home to look it up. A new working one was listed at $365 and a non-ested or kind of asis condition sold for recently for 175. So, I just posted it for 125 just to see. I thought it might sit for a while, but it sold within 20 minutes of me listing it. This is a JBK collection go tone watch, and I paid a dollar for it. So, that was a really amazing score. I don't know if I could ever find this again. This next item is so cool, especially for orchid dorks like me or orchestra dorks. I was so surprised that I found all the pieces with it at the Goodwill bins. It's got even a little storage container here in the back to keep all the pieces. And it's a pretty decent size to ship in a box, and I probably paid about two or three bucks for it. and it sold for $39.95 with $11 in shipping. So, not too bad for a $3 investment. Now that I've showed you all these items, I've got them all organized and it's time for me to box them up and ship them out. After watching this video, I would love to know which items surprised you the most. Or if you're a reseller as well, what's the most expensive item you've ever sold on eBay?
