Pokemon, >> Magic the Gathering, >> and Yu-Gi-Oh! >> Three games that have withtood the test of time. And as you'll see, for good reason. So, let's jump right into it with nine of the best TCG moments ever caught on camera. And whatever you do, stick around for number two. It's way too good to miss. And as for number nine, let's just say we're starting with a bit of a jump scare. I'm also going the wrong way. There we go. Oh, we're through the looking glass. All right, here we go. Holy What the hell? Well, spoiler. It's not supposed to be on the front. If you've ever watched Dan from Open Boosters, you'll know that he is no stranger to incredible pulls. And then the other one is holy. But normally, he'll build some suspense by flipping through the commons, uncommons, and finally the two rares. But that is not what happened here. Instead, he was smacked right in the face with a mock sapphire, one of the two most expensive cards you can pull right behind Black Lotus, which is not supposed to happen. This was a factory error where the rares were placed in the uncommon slot. Dan doesn't even go to open the rest of the starter deck because there's really no point. As for value in mint condition, unlimited mock sapphires reach the upper 10,000s. And speaking of iconic cards, it really doesn't get much more iconic than what you're about to see. >> What would obviously Blue Eyes >> Blue Eyes is the number one card. >> Dark Magician's my favorite. Dark Magician, Red Eyes, and Exodia Head are all very big. They're big. I've pulled Red Eyes on the on my channel, so we'd prefer one. >> What if we pull any of those? I'm just going to get really excited. Obviously, >> if we pull any of those, I might pass out. Just saying. Background as well. Skull Servant. That's pretty good. The centered commons, too. These actually are worth a little bit if they're graded. >> Mhm. >> Green Phantom King. Okay, this is it, guys. >> Okay, here we go. Dark contest. >> Oh my Oh my gosh. >> I hit your camera. Okay. Oh my gosh. >> I can't believe this. This is insane, man. Dark Magician was Yui's ace monster in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime. And in The Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, the TCG's first international release, it was one of the 10 ultra rares in the set. On average, you could expect to pull only two ultra rares per box, each of which go for upwards of 20k. That means you're opening over $100,000 of sealed product for a shot at hitting any specific ultra. Now, the card most people chase when opening the set is, of course, the Blue Eyes White Dragon, another ultra rare. But many people, myself included, actually prefer Dark Magician. The artwork, its relevance in the anime, and plus this got the nickname Brokeneck Blue Eyes for a reason. In pristine condition, Dark Magician can sell for nearly $15,000. That's a drop in the bucket compared to our next card, but it's still pretty cool. Like today's sponsor. Wait, what is that? Ouch. Wow, this is nice. It feels nice. It fits great. Who could possibly be responsible for such a wonderful shirt? Into the AM is a men's apparel brand that's been making highquality handmade clothing since 2012. They have an incredible lineup of graphic TE's that fit just about any style, as well as more classically designed shirts for everyday wear. In fact, hey, can I try one of those out, too? Ouch. I really can't get used to that. But wow, it was definitely worth it. This feels so nice. Oh, you're still there? Well, that's lucky because if you use code corner 10 at checkout, you'll receive 10% off your entire purchase. Visit their website with the QR code on screen or the link down in the description. And thank you so much into the AM for sponsoring today's video. Please no. Two packs first edition base set. I never thought this day would come, but it it finally did. We waited it out for three to four years. We waited it out three to four years and finally it's happened. Here we go. We got a doine to start it off here. Defender. We're still searching for the Charizard. If you guys are just tuning in right now, like this would be the time to watch. We got coughing. OH, LET'S GO, BABY. YO, A red cheeks Pikachu is like just so good to get out of a pack. Oh my god, dude. Let's go. The like cuz you can have box with no red cheeks Pikachu. You can have just the regular yellow cheeks. There's a huge difference if you get the red cheeks Pikachu box. We lucked out super good to get that third red cheeks Pikachu, baby. We got a red cheeks Pikachu box. No duo. Fire energy. We got a gust of wind moving into the Machop. Lightning energy. Come on now. It's time we pulled in the big boy himself. Let's go, MAN. I don't think this list would be complete without a first edition Charizard for Pokémon's base set, but if you look around, you can actually find quite a few examples of this happening. That's because there are only 15 hollowos in base set. Machamp being a starter deck exclusive, and you could reasonably expect to pull about one hollow every three packs. Do the math and you have about a 55% chance of pulling at least one Charizard per 36-pack booster box. Slightly better than a coin flip. But there is a catch. Finding that first edition booster box, that's the hard part. Because to actually get your money back on one of those, you're flipping a coin on a booster box that costs half a million dollar. If it's flawless, a first edition Charizard can cover the price of the box. Or if Logan Paul pulls it for you, then you might even come out ahead. And yes, you read that correctly. Someone actually paid a million dollars for this. Now, the next card on our list isn't nearly as valuable, but the story behind it more than makes up for it. >> Okay. >> Okay. Sickle slicer. >> Yeah, I I like sickle slicer better. >> There's a lot of good equipment floating around. He's opened A FOIL. >> OH, WHAT DO you do? >> Oh, that one looks really nice in a trade binder. He looks at the back. He's got to check the condition out. >> Checking the condition. It is stamped. >> Is there anything good on his deck? Foil tar. Oh, >> Pascal. What are you made of here, buddy? >> Wow. >> What better souvenir could you walk away from this weekend with? I mean, would you rather have that or a Grand Prix trophy? That is the question. Pascal Bayar, that is the question. >> Foil Tarmaggo. >> Pascal ends up taking the foil tarmaggo. can't bring himself to take the burst lightning over. >> What you just saw was one of the most controversial moments in Magic's history. Back in 2015, Pascal Maynard was competing in the top eight of Grand Prix Las Vegas. Now, here's where we're at. It's pack two, pick one of the top eight draft. Pascal is solidly in red and staring back at him is a foil tag, a card that he cannot possibly play in his deck. Also in the pack, Burst Lightning, a perfect fit for his strategy. So competitively, the choice was obvious. Thing is, Tarmaggo was by far the most expensive card in the set, and this one was in foil. But this wasn't just any foil Tarmaggo because at high level events, draft cards are opened in advanced and stamped to prevent cheating, which meant this was one of a kind. And at the time, it was worth more than the first place prize money. So Pascal took it. He sacrificed his win percentage for some guaranteed value. The community, however, was divided. Some called it unprofessional, while others said it was completely rational. The controversy became known as Tarmmogate, and eventually after receiving quite a bit of push back, Pascal sold the card for $15,000 and donated half to charity. But that moment remains one of the most interesting pulls ever captured on camera. We got to see Pascal's intense internal debate between taking the win or taking the grail. And eventually he ended up losing the draft to that very burst lightning that he passed. Still worth it probably. Narwhals swimming in the ocean causing a commotion cuz they are so awesome. Who remembers that song? Who remembers that one? All right, last last pack. No spoilers at all. I don't want to see no potential sparkly borders. Come on, Yugi gods. Yu-Gi-Oh! bless us. Necros of DNR alias, Malefic Paradigm Dragon, Book of Moon, and it is No way. NO WAY. OH my god. No freaking way, dude. Oh my god. Ryan from Cardbreaker GT doesn't always sing, but when he does, he pulls some serious heat because what you just watched is one of the rarest modern pulls in all of Yu-Gi-Oh. Back in 2020, Konami decided to commemorate the printing of the game's 10,000th card by doing something genuinely creative. They introduced a card literally called 10,000 Dragon in the set Battles of Legend Armageddon. And they made it incredibly hard to pull. Like one in 72 boxes hard. Not packs, boxes. So on average, you would need to open more than 2,000 packs just to have a good shot at pulling one. In geming condition, 10k Dragon typically sits around $2,000. Not the most valuable card on this list, but it is last pack magic at its finest. Now, the next one up might be familiar to some of you. Taking a little bit less risk. Very rare pack. Michael F here. LET'S DO IT. MICHAEL, if anything, the reverses in this set go absolutely buck wild. Exoxis, guys. $100,000 booster box. do the mathematics. I mean, just give us a hollow at one time. All right. If you already subscribe to my channel, which you should, then you might have seen this clip already. That's because I made an entire video about this pull and why I think it made for one of the best stories in Pokemon TCG history. Gold Star Aquaza comes from Extus, a set released in 2005 during what many considered to be the golden age of Pokémon. At the time, Gold Stars were the ultimate chase cards. They were notoriously difficult to pull, coming in at roughly one every 72 packs. And that's just for any gold star. Ex Deoxys had three. So, if you were specifically chasing Rayquaza, that'd be closer to one in six boxes. But here's where things get interesting. This wasn't pulled from a sealed booster box. It came from a single loose pack. And with product this old, loose packs carry tremendous risk. They're weighable. Sellers can determine whether a pack likely contained a hollow by measuring its weight. And most heavy packs disappeared from the open market years ago, which makes seeing a gold starry equa from a random loose pack that much more incredible. In perfect condition, this card can go for well into the six figures. This particular copy graded an eight, which still pulls in a very respectable $20,000. The pull itself, though, captures something we rarely get to see anymore. A genuine loose pack opening that actually pays off. As for what's next, I have to apologize for the video itself, but the poll really had to make this list. Number two. Oh Oh no. Oh. Oh Oh Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. >> Yeah, that was a little hard to watch. But regardless of production quality, what you're looking at is one of the most valuable modern pulls ever caught on camera. When Magic the Gathering released its Final Fantasy crossover, it became the bestselling set in the game's history. And among the chase cards were multiple versions of Chocoo. Different colors, different treatments, all incredibly rare. But then there were the serialized copies, only 77 of which exist. It's pretty unreal that someone managed to get this on film. But what's even more hard to believe is Magic's ability to create high dollar cards even today. This is not a poll from 1993. This was printed less than a year ago. And one copy serialized 44 out of 77, not even a special number. Recently sold for over $80,000. Crazy. Next up is by far my favorite card on this list. The card is great, but the reaction is even better. holiday photo, my friend. Let's keep it casual for you, bro. And let's get you an amazing pull. Let's get this opening underway, shall we? 58 people in the stream. Make sure if you not dropped a like to drop a like. And I'm going to do a little Oh my god, this thing is insane. It smells so good. Gladiators assault. Okay. Gladiator Beast Hoplamus, Chamberlain of the Six Samurai, Light Imprisoning Mirror, Gladiator Beast, HALBIRD. OH MY GOD. WHAT? FIRST, GUYS. GUYS, GUYS, WHAT? HOLY CRAP. HOLY CRAP. WHAT? OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. GOD. YO. YO. YO. CASUAL. GUYS, oh my god, this thing is mint. This thing is mint. No foil lines, no scratches. >> I don't really think it's up for debate. Jamie from Casual Yugi Stuff has the best reactions on the internet. And if you wanted more proof, only a few packs later in the same video, this happens. >> This looks like it could be a foil. I could see that in the pack. Lucky Cloud, Ancient Gear Knight. I forgot this card comes in the set. Spirit of the Six Samurai, Swift Strike Armor. Guys, we've got a magic card. Are you ready FOR A MAGIC FORMULA? OH MY GOD, NO, NO, NO, NO. To be fair, this box of first edition Gladiators Assault is the nuts. This set is notorious for being incredibly hard on collectors. Pulling any card of value is a huge win, let alone finding the top two chase cards out of one box. As for the Chaos Neo specifically, this is the set's chase ghost rare, a foil treatment that is completely unique to the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. In person, these cards look incredible. Blank background from one angle and 3D rainbow holo artwork from another. And their pull rates were brutal. Roughly one ghost rare per case, or about one in every 288 packs. And when you're talking about boxes that go for over $3,000 a piece, you'd be looking at opening roughly $36,000 worth of packs in order to pull this card. That's why in perfect condition, Ghost Rare Chaos Neos goes for $5 to $10,000. So Jaime's reaction here, I'd say justified. But even so, I had to give the number one spot to our next clip. >> All right, on to the next bag. I swear these are so much easier to open. Some packs are so easy to open and then some are just so hard. >> Yeah, >> they've definitely gotten better though. They used to be so bad at opening these. >> I know. >> Hello. Oh my god. >> What's that, honey? >> Oh my god. >> Oh my god. >> What? Sit down, >> Dad. This is a god pack. >> Well, good. Awesome. >> Oh my god. >> What? Gosh. >> Dad. Dad. Dad. All right, we're going to pause here for a minute. We'll be right back. >> Dad, Dad. >> All right, let's go through it. >> I'm shaking. >> Let's go through it. >> No, no, no. Okay. Oh my god. >> We're going to go through this. She's going to She's going to show what she has. So, right. This is What is this? >> This is an Eevee master ball. >> Okay. >> I'm going to cry. Oh my god. >> All right, here we go. >> Oh my gosh. Leafy on sir. >> What's that? >> Oh my gosh. >> Is that a good one? >> Yes. >> All right, sweetie. >> Oh my god. Oh my god. >> What's that one? >> Flare on sir. >> Do we have that one? >> No, we don't have sir. >> Oh, I just know she's happy. >> Oh my god. Glacion sir. Oh my god. >> What's that one? >> Jolt sir. Espeon sir. >> Is this all? >> This is the one we have. >> Oh, that's the one we have. >> Oh my gosh. And dad. Dad, dad, dad. Oh my god. Is that a good one? Yes. This is the $1,600. >> Is it? Yes. >> What a pack. What else? Is there some >> Oh my god. >> What's that one? >> The EVS. >> Oh my gosh. >> $3,000 sitting here. >> Oh my god. >> Oh my god. >> Awesome. >> Awesome. >> Oh my god. >> We easy. I've showcased Prismatic Evolutions God packs before on this channel, but nothing quite like this. Just a daughter and her father casually ripping packs together. Clearly, this man knows very little about Pokémon cards and is just there to spend time with his kid and support her hobby. But then it happens. A Prismatic Evolutions god pack, the odds of which are estimated to be about one in every 2,000. Each contains every single Eevee evolution s from the set plus EV itself, all in one pack. On the low end, these cards are worth up to $3,000. But if they grade highly, the value skyrockets from there, which again is crazy when you consider this is a modern product printed only a year ago. Anyway, the value is not really what it's about here, is it? It's the moment, the confusion, the realization, dad finally beginning to understand what just happened. And in this hobby that can sometimes focus a little bit too much on monetary value, these moments really are everything. Whether shared with others online or in person, they're what make these videos so much fun to watch. This is the third entry in my best polls of all time series. You can check the other two out right here. The next video in the series is my personal favorite, the top nine error pulls of all time. So, be sure to sub to the channel if you don't want to miss it.
