We'll go to U Julio Acasta. >> Hi everyone. Uh can you hear me? >> We certainly can. Welcome. And would you please state your name and let us know if you're representing an organization and uh please begin your begin your two-minute testimony. >> Thank you. Uh my name is Julia Costa. Uh I only represent myself today. Um I use pronoun and I'm speaking to you from the Dallas area. Uh recognizing that there are a lot of Texans that did not and will not have the privilege to be in any of the redistricting hearings. Uh I am very much against the redistricting efforts. I echo the powerful voices of the passionate Texans that have spoken against this today and throughout all these hearings. I hope that you listen intently to the legal experts that explain in detail why this possible sealing of democracy is not just wrong but also unconstitutional and illegal. Uh, we should be a government by the people for the people. All I want you to remember is this. Past patriots literally paid in blood to not have a king. We the people do not want a king. The constitution clearly does not want a king. You and anyone should also not want a king. Kings dictate what the government does. Anyone that tells you that you should be supporting redistricting before the 2030 census is done properly is not a patriot and wants you to do what a king wants. You're stealing the voices from fellow Texans. If you choose to go through this illegal steal of voices, know that you are in the wrong. Know that history will show that you are in the wrong. I hope that deep, deep down you at least recognize that you are in the wrong. But I also hope that you do not support this. Do not choose for this stealing of democracy to be your legacy. I repeat, do not choose this stealing of democracy to be your legacy. Um, and I just want to say I really appreciate the idea of the independent nonpartisan. Uh, that's a really great idea. I really support that and I just echo all the voices of everybody else that has spoken today. Thank you and I yield my time. >> Uh, thank you. Uh members, any questions?
