Is that correct? >> That is correct. >> Please give us your testimony. >> Thank you all so much for the opportunity. Once again, my name is Ebony Rain Eatman. I failed to mention this last time, but I am one of the many candidates that are running for the Congressional 18th district. Um, but I want to bring attention to this moment. Representative Woo, Wall, and Turner expressed that we are all unclear why we're here in this particular process at this time, but the answer is very evident. This administration is currently being bullied into breaking procedure to appease a fascist govern. Growing up, I was taught that giving into a bully doesn't stop them from tormenting you. It makes you an easier target. Your actions reflect a government that does not understand what its true power is and where it comes from. So, let me help you understand where it comes from. Your power comes from the consent of the governed, not from threat of force. A government's We are not scared of a fascist manchild. So why are you? Your mandate shouldn't come from a felonious self-appointed king, but from us. And we did not ask for this. We the people demand that you remove this agenda from the special session and disregard the president's uh blatant attempt to rig our democracy. Last time I spoke to you, I begged you to get a spine. This time, I'm echoing a warning from my colleague Isaiah Martin when he mentioned in his Thursday's remark before he was unceremoniously removed from his speaking podium, "History will not remember you kindly if you don't stand up for Texans. Fight like a Texan. Fight back." And there is no reason why this government has to cowtow once again to a felonious self-appointed king who has no intention of meeting the needs of Texans. His one resource is to say that he can live and rule according to what the real people need. But the real people have been telling you for the last 72 hours, we did not want this. We did not want this. We did not ask for this. We asked for help in Kerr County. We asked for representation in district 18. We asked for leaders, our neighbors to take our words and represent us and fight for us, not just in the state, but in the United States of America.
