“Be aware that the 'Bobby Approved' standard is a proprietary marketing framework; the video uses the complexity of food labels to make his app feel like a necessary survival tool for healthy eating.”

Ask yourself: “What would I have to already believe for this argument to make sense?”

Transparency Mostly Transparent
Primary technique

Urgency framing

Creating artificial time pressure to force a decision before you can think it through. 'Only 3 left!' 'Act now!' The technique works because genuine scarcity is a real signal, so the urgency feels rational even when it's manufactured.

The content is a classic 'one-take' warehouse walk featuring spontaneous interactions, personal anecdotes about family, and natural linguistic imperfections that characterize human-led vlogging. The presence of a specific personal brand (Bobby Approved) and real-time engagement with other shoppers confirms human production.

Natural Speech Patterns Transcript includes filler words ('um'), colloquialisms ('no BS', 'golly'), and self-corrections typical of live speech.
Real-world Interaction The narrator interacts with a bystander named Judy to confirm a product's quality, which is impossible for standard AI generation.
Personal Anecdotes References to his daughter Rose and her reaction to trading cards in snack boxes.
Contextual Awareness Mentions specific time-sensitive details like the 'February coupon book' and the 'Valentine's Day edition' of products.

Worth Noting

Positive elements

  • This video provides a practical look at specific Costco product labels and identifies snacks with minimal added sugars and alternative oils.

Be Aware

Cautionary elements

  • The use of a proprietary 'approval' app as the sole arbiter of health, which simplifies complex nutrition into a binary 'good vs. bad' brand ecosystem.

The Costco snack options are huge, but how are you supposed to know which are the best and most healthy items here? Well, I'm doing a quick one take video to show you the top 10 snacks that you can feel good about buying. Let's start the timer and see if I can do 10 in under 10. Let's start with something savory. Golly, they have a whole wall here of big beef sticks, which I love here. And a lot of people get excited about these new grass-fed Kirkland beef sticks. And I get it because they're cheaper than the competitors. And they have really good ingredients, but they have one ingredient. Oh, I don't like it. Yeast extract here, which is a man-made flavor enhancer. It's better than like MSG, but I'm going to have to put that one back and go with Chomps or we go with the Country Archer minis, which are really good for your kids um snack boxes cuz they're minis. Once again, same beef, 100% grass-fed, which is great, but no BS ingredients here. And they're cleaner than the Kirkland one. So, I would prefer those. And check out the prices. They're very nice, too. So, those are going to go in my cart. And if we did something savory, we should probably do something sweet here. And these are delicious. It's a Bobby approvedish version of a Mounds bar. Check it out, guys. It's organic coconut. Cassava syrup is the primary sweetener. And then the dark chocolate has a touch of cane sugar in the chocolate coating. But we're talking about 3 g of total sugar or added sugar per unreal bar. It's the perfect combination of chocolate and coconut. It's absolutely delicious. It goes in my cart. If we come back over here, it's new and it might not be everywhere, but these new crunchable fruit snacks here from That's It. But what they always have here are a couple fruit snacks that I really, really like. One of them being a Bobby approved version of fruit roll-ups. Fruit roll-ups, which they probably have somewhere around here. Not approved. These are what a fruit rollup should be. Check it out. It's just couple ingredients. Apples, pears, strawberries, apple, pears, raspberries. No added sugar, no BS. They have these like trading cards they put in here and the kids go crazy for them. Whoever is in their marketing department who thought about that is very smart cuz Rose will buy these. Just bought the Valentine's Day edition just because of the trading cards. Now, this is something that's always here and I love them. They're close to being perfectly Bobby approved. They're organic crispy coconut rollers here. Check out the ingredients. It's coconut milk, tapioca flour. There is sugar in here, but it's a combination of sugar and coconut sugar with organic eggs. The thing is, nine rolls only has four grams of added sugar. And just let's swap around here just to get 100% certainty. Judy, you said these are good, right? >> They're delicious, right? And they're just about Bobby approved here. It's like a mix between coconut sugar. You like these? Yes. See, she loves them. This is the beauty. People are not going to lie here when you're doing your one take at Costco. They go in our cart. Nine rolls is a big serving size. So you get four and a half, five rolls and you only have about 2 g of sugar. Now that's it makes these fruit snacks here. Also, these are fruit bars. And the reason why they call it that's it is well, look at the ingredients. It literally is two. It's apples and mangoes, apples and strawberries, apples and blueberries. They're little mini bars here. So your kids are going to like them. And bonus points, they have two grams of fiber and they're currently on sale for the February coupon book. Uh, which this video comes out, you might have a couple days left for that. Okay, let's transition over to nuts and seeds. Be careful because as much as I love cashews here, a lot of these nuts are going to be roasted or coated in seed oil. See, look, it's covered in peanut oil. Seed oils are prevalent in the grocery store, but especially in snacks, and they're highly inflammatory. But if you know how to read the ingredients or use the Bobby approved app. Look, these are raw roasted cashews. One ingredient. Absolutely lovely. They're going in my cart. Now, there is something here that's perfect for the winter cuz it's very nutrientdense. Ooh, unlisted sale until March 1st. This is fantastic. 22 oz of these sprouted pumpkin seeds for $7.49. Guys, this is like 60% cheaper than most stores. So, a/4 cup. Yeah, it has 8 g of protein and 2 g of fiber there, which is nice. But these are incredibly nutrient-dense. So, let's just read these as we walk over to the next stuff here. A serving has 60% of your daily value of manganesees, 20% zinc, 35% copper, 30% phosphorus, 10% iron. Call me Tony Stark. I'm an iron man. This is great to have during the winter because it's the cold and flu season which has been a humdinger. Okay, it's going in my cart. We wandering down this aisle. Someone tell me what's going on with Dubai. I've never had a Dubai chocolate. What's the deal with it? There's so much Dubai stuff on the wall here. Holy cow. All of it is not Bobby approved. I almost want to just try it just to see what the fuss is about. Is it the combination of pistachio chocolate and that crispy kana? I just don't know. Let's see what's over it. None of this is really good here. I saw the commercial during the Super Bowl for this Kinder Bueno. I've never had one of those. I'm sure it's good, too. Whoa, look at this. Huge bunnies for Easter. That's kind of cool, right? Wow. Okay, here we go. Now, we're back in business. I'm not sure if all costs have it, but this is one of the only Bobby approved protein bars on the market. It's Rise. And the reason why I like it, it's literally just a few ingredients. Almonds, honey, whey, almonds, honey, whey, vanilla, cinnamon, 18 grams of protein, 17 g or 15 g of added honey in there. Initially, this was not Bobby approved, but then I reached out to the company and they actually used nonGMO, so it is Bobby approved, which is why if you break out your free Bobby approved app now, you'll see yes, it is. We always get receipts. We always check with ingredients. That's why my app comes in handy. This is really nice, too. If you switch around here, this is Smash Foods snack bites. They're coated on the outside with a combination of dates, sunflower butter, and oats. And on the inside is a little bit of jam. And the oats are glyphosate free. They're absolutely lovely here, guys. And they have six g of protein and 5 g of fiber per serving. Leave a comment down below. I'm not sure if it's totally um nationwide and I don't like they have the star here even though it's been here for about 6 or 8 months. So, that's really cool. Let's swing around. Actually, you know what? Let's go that way behind you and check out some snacks and whatnot. By the way, I mentioned it earlier, but if you're ever in doubt at the grocery store like this, actually, if a product is clean, break out my free Bobby approved app. It takes the guesswork out of shopping because this is not Bobby approved from Ciete, but it's about as close as they get. And I can't give it the Bobby approval because they use a little bit of cane sugar here in the um sweetening of the cookies, but it's better than most cookies like chipsoy or whatnot. So, I'll put it in my cart cuz it's in snack pack option. But my app is free. It has almost 135,000 five-star reviews. It takes the guesswork out of shopping. It highlights bad ingredients, tells you why they're bad, and gives you a better recommend recommendation. It's free, and it's on Google Play and Apple App Store. I'll leave the links down below, my friends. Now, we're in the chip aisle. For years, the chips here had no Bobby approved ones, and I think the power of the people has spoken because they have a lot of Bobby approved chips. Now, Ciiet is probably the one they've had the longest here. These are grainfree tortilla chips. What does that mean? There's no corn. There's no flour. It's made with cassava here and it's fried or cooked in avocado oil. These are one of our family's favorite potato chips. They're Boulder Canyon Ruffle. Remember Ruffles? Remember that guy with the blue suspenders back in the day? Ruffles have ridges. This is a Ruffles Have ridges for 30 cents an ounce. This is like 60 to 70% cheaper than most grocery stores. And look, it's just potatoes, avocado oil, and sea salt. It's always here. Now, I don't think this is nationwide, but this is new. These are potato chips cooked in non-GMO beef tallow, an ancient superfood that's, yes, a saturated fat, but it's a healthy saturated fat and has so much darn sabor. I love it. This is nationwide. We just talked about sweet potato. How about sweet potato avocado oil chips? Those are regular potato, I should say. These are sweet potatoes with three ingredients. That's it. I find this very, very exciting because none of this stuff used to be here at all. And now, because we want seed oil free food, they're stocking it in bulk. And for the kids here, how about a 20 count of apple chips with what ingredients on there? That's it. Just apples and apples and cinnamon dehydrated so they still have fiber cuz we like fiber for the kids because it fills them up and keeps them saturated. Where's the timer at? It's 9:30. >> Oh, 9:30 as we close in on our 10th snack there. So, for me, whether you're talking about the crispy coconut rollers, you're talking about the chips we just talked about. How about these fruit bars or those sprouted pumpkin seeds that are on sale? Thank you for the love. >> Why don't you just check that? >> Oh, you got the got the POPPING BOTTLE. GOOD FOR YOU. Love to hear it. All right, so she's got the app. And by the way, subscribe, my friends. If you watch this whole video unsubscribed, you're missing out because we publish videos seven times a month, long form, 17 times short form. Join the community of 10 million plus.
