Analysis Summary

30% Low Influence
mildmoderatesevere

“Be aware that the 'fairness' of the prices offered is framed by the host's own unverified estimates, which serves to make 50% of resale value feel like a generous standard.”

Transparency Mostly Transparent
Primary technique

Moral framing

Presenting a complex issue with genuine tradeoffs as a simple choice between right and wrong. Once something is framed as a moral issue, compromise feels like complicity and disagreement feels immoral rather than reasonable.

Haidt's Moral Foundations Theory; Lakoff's framing research (2004)

The video features authentic, unscripted dialogue between multiple people with natural acoustic variations and environmental noise. The content is deeply rooted in physical reality, involving the exchange of tangible collectibles and personal anecdotes that AI cannot currently replicate with this level of nuance.

Natural Speech Patterns Transcript contains stutters, filler words ('uh', 'I I'), and mid-sentence corrections typical of spontaneous human interaction.
Contextual Interaction The dialogue involves real-time negotiation, physical handling of items, and reading fan mail with specific local references (Illinois, South Louisiana).
Metadata Consistency The channel 'Craigslist Hunter' has a long-standing history, specific contact emails, and physical mailing addresses for fan mail.

Worth Noting

Positive elements

  • This video provides a realistic look at the logistics of a resale business, including how to handle walk-in appraisals and the importance of testing electronics.

Be Aware

Cautionary elements

  • The use of charitable acts (the donation box) to frame the host as a 'good guy' can subtly lower a viewer's critical guard when evaluating the fairness of his business negotiations.

So, we saying 40, you're saying 30. Green or red? Basically, head or tails? Which one you want to choose? >> I mean, Akai, good brand. But I'm going to be honest, I never seen anything like this. I've never had one here before like that. Is it worth any significant money? I highly doubt it. It's just a decoration piece to slap it on the wall. Hey Pete, guys, over here. So, this sounds familiar. This is from picking and grinding collectibles. I feel like I know that name. Mike. Mike. I I feel like I know your store. I don't know why. Let's see. A long letter. Hey Pete and the crew. My name is Mike. eBay is picking and grinding collectibles. Included are a few Illinois goodies I found here in South Louisiana. Also decals. Well, thank you very much, Michael. Oh, that's your decal right there. Picking and grinding collectibles. Very cool. And we got a Azie Osborne here. I appreciate that. And you said this is stuff from Illinois that you found. All right. We got some Illinois keychains. That's fantastic. Illinois, uh, Main Street looking north. Very cool. Galina, Illinois. and an old map from Illinois. How about that? You know, people like these old maps. You know what people do? They use them as a wallpaper. And you collect different maps from different states. And I there's there's a good friend of mine. I think he wallpaper his whole garage with maps like that. It looks actually pretty cool. So, well, thank you very much, Mike. I really appreciate it. Guys, go check out Picking and Grinding Collectibles on eBay. That would be great. Let's get into the race video. >> So, what's the story with this? You said you did this 18 years ago. Yeah, like about 18 years ago, I was collecting uh pedal cars a little bit and I saw that and I thought that would be kind of neat and uh I never really broke it out and used it or hung it or anything, but >> what does it say? >> It's a little unusual. It's not >> wonderful childhood memories. >> Yeah, it's not antique. >> It represents different cars and different things. I actually had that pedal car right in the back. >> Oh, yeah. >> I had that firet truck with those two letters on it. >> Yeah. Yeah, I mean I think I had I had this one and this one or something similar at least. And uh >> it's kind of neat. You know, if somebody collects pedal cars, they might >> find interest. It's not worth a lot, but if you can, >> you know, >> use it towards your >> Well, I mean, I I could donate this, you know, for honey shelter because they always need blankets or they need, you know, towels or different things. But this is actually kind of cool looking to be honest with you. Somebody might be interested in this in a shop. >> Maybe you could. I'd rather have you find somebody who's got it for a new home. But either way, it's a donation. I just thought maybe uh there's any place that might uh find a home for it, it would be here. >> And it's at the bottom. It says pedal playtime at what? Warwick. >> I think that's who the >> the guy who designed them >> possibly. Yeah. Yeah. >> Little bit neat. So, you said you want to donate it? >> Yeah. That's awesome, man. I appreciate that. >> Sure. >> Yeah. Well, thank you very much. Thank you for watching. >> Thank you. So awesome. I was wondering when you guys going to show up. So >> yeah, usually every four to six weeks I check them. So >> yeah, move this stuff away here. >> We did this because I was worried that it sits right here and some, you know. >> Yeah. >> I don't want it to go walking. >> We've had we've had several dispar. >> Yeah. >> All right. And now you can use your key. >> Oh. >> Or you just want to swap it. Well, I was going to swap it, but >> Yeah, but I got this installed. So, if you can >> Yeah, I I can >> I would prefer that would stay with us so I don't have to do that again, you know. >> Yep. Got it. >> Hopefully, we got a couple hundred bucks in there cuz I had some nice donations. >> What do you think we got? Really? >> I don't know. I'm I'm kind of curious, but you know, a lot of times >> I was going to say 126. >> What happens now? people, you know, see it on the video and they want to say, "Oh, let me let me uh let me donate 10 or 20 or I'm like, just drop it in there. That's the easiest way, you know, that I don't have to keep track. >> I can count it if you want me to." >> I'm kind of curious. Let's do it. >> Okay. Cuz it's been here what, a month? >> It's been a little bit over. Yeah, a little bit over a month. >> Towards the end of December, >> right after Christmas, I think. Yeah. 15 20 21 22 23 24 >> 124 >> Very nice. >> What did he say? He said like 126 or something. >> That's awesome. >> All right. Well, that's cool. Yeah. Usually, you know, every month or 6 weeks I stop in, but you know, if it gets too full that you can always you can always absolutely. >> Okay. >> That's a good problem to have, right? >> Yes. Absolutely. >> Love it. Thank you guys. >> Thank you. going to put it on the video. It's pretty cool piece. >> Yeah, definitely. >> Here what I think this is. Okay. >> Mhm. >> It's a very nice replica. >> Showing it off potentially back in the day. Very nice. So, >> yep. No makers on it. So, that tells me that 100% replica. >> Yep. >> Um the way the whole thing is done is just very presentable wall hanger. You put it up there. Looks cool. >> Mhm. Is it worth any significant money? I highly doubt it. It's just a decoration piece to slap it on the wall. Um, and it screams to me like it was done probably in ' 80s or '90s just by looking at the frame, you know? >> Yeah, definitely. For sure. >> So, but then again, it is a cool piece. Somebody has a man cave into kind of knives and that kind of stuff. Why not hang it up on the wall? It looks cool. It's a conversation piece. >> Yeah. >> To be honest with you, how much is it worth? It's tough. Uh, what are you thinking? What do you want to get out of it? >> Well, I'm looking um to hopefully get like one of the Xboxes you have over there. >> Um, so I don't know if that would um >> Which one? Because I got Xboxes here for $60 and I got Xboxes here for >> Yeah, the the Series X uh the white one, the cube looking one. I know online you're asking 300. I came last night and tested it out a little bit. >> Um don't think we're going to quite get to that amount. No, >> probably not. So, I'm I'm going to give you my honest opinion. This is something >> that I maybe on a good day get like 120 maybe 150 bucks out of it. Okay. >> Maybe >> I I'll offer you 75 bucks. >> 75. >> That's it. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I I can't go any higher on this. >> Okay. >> It's just a cool conversation piece that you hang it on a wall, you know. >> Yeah, for sure. Um, so >> do you think I know you said you're set at 75, but just since I'm going to buy something else, do you think you can do a 100 flat? >> Yeah, I'll give you store credit of 100. You got it. >> Thank you so much. >> No problem. >> So, this I showed off probably I don't know, couple weeks ago, maybe a month ago now, and I asked you guys how I should sell this, and it just sold. It's super fragile. So, I'm taking my time here because this bag is super fragile. If you guys remember, these were the McDonald's cups from 1960s. We had um we had full tube of them, 50 of them. That's what they look like. And we decided I decided to list it as one big bundle, not selling them individually for, you know, $78. That's how much they usually bring. We listed for $2.49. They sold right away. So maybe I could have listed a little bit higher, but I'm very happy what they brought in, even though that the bag is in super rough shape. But I know many comments came in after I showed this off to give you guys an update. So there you go. Sold for $2.49. >> So what's the story with this? >> So >> what can you tell me about this? >> I don't really know much information about it. All I know is that I got it from a storage locker. >> Uhhuh. And it was only a $5 storage locker and we found that and so we hooked it up to because it needs to either be hooked up to one of those speakers like an electric guitar. >> Okay. >> Or we just connected headphones cuz we didn't have a box. >> I mean Akai good brand but I'm going to be honest. I never seen anything like this. Never had one here before like that. >> So I'm assuming it's what? Electronic wireless like a >> It says electronic uh whistle >> wind instrument. Okay. Wow. So, were you actually able to test this? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> It works. >> It It works. >> Yeah. Cuz I have a friend that is actually going to school to be a music teacher. So, he came over and took a look at it and he connected it up and made sure it worked. >> Okay. So, it does power on. >> It's not connected up. >> Ah. What did you find? Anything colors on this? I >> So, I was looking on eBay. >> I don't even know where to begin with this to be honest with you. They were selling for like around 300. Um, some of them, like this one for example, they listed it for 350. Took a best offer, >> but it says great working condition. >> And it's got this. We don't have this. I don't see the >> therap Oh, it's back there. Okay. Okay. >> Okay. Got you. I mean, it looks like this is in a really nice condition overall. Not I mean, used obviously, but not abused, you know. What do you what do you want to get out of this? >> Um, whatever works best for you. >> So, the way I operate, you know, I you know, >> yeah, >> if let's say if I can get 300 bucks out of this, I usually offer about half >> about 150. So, if you're okay with that, that's what I can do. >> Yeah, I'm good with >> um meter. Is there anything else supposed to be in here? Like >> any cables or any other thing that because when you said you hooked this up, I see like it takes some kind of special cable here. Oh, the only thing that we had to connect up was the one in the back was that and it didn't come with that. We just had an extra one. >> This cable is like um a printer cable, same type that you can plug in here and probably download any software or whatever you need to get to the computer. >> That was the only thing we needed was to plug in for the back. >> Yeah, I don't know too much about that to be honest with you. >> I've never even seen it. >> So, you basically had it here hooked up with a cable to like a speaker directly. Okay. Instead of using this? >> Yeah. Okay. Okay. All right. If you're okay with buck 50, that's what I'll do. >> All right. >> All right. Let me use. >> What's wrong? >> I I [ __ ] up my wrist. >> Sorry about that. You're good. >> Okay. All right. Carlos will write you up. I do need your ID and uh I'll have you on your way then. >> All right. Sounds good. >> How much is this? >> How much is this? >> Let me see. $3 a pound. It's about5. $15. >> $15. >> No. >> No. >> How much? >> I don't know. Well, I tell you. You said you don't know. I tell you it's 15. How about 10? >> Five. >> Oh, come on, man. I probably paid $5. >> No, $5. >> I can't. Give me six. >> Okay. >> Okay, man. What a hard bargain, man. >> Yeah. >> And then he gives me 10. >> One, two, three, four. >> Five. >> It's a four. Where's the fight? Get another one. >> All right, man. Have a good one. Thank you, guys. So, I just bought these two hats. Look what happened. This is crumbling. This plastic on the inside completely disintegrated. >> Brand new hat. So, here's the thing. So, I'm widowed from my second wife about 12 years ago. >> Okay. >> And she had a >> jewelry box, which I only just recently went through. >> Mhm. >> And that was in there. So, it's highly likely. I mean, I don't know what it's like. So, I didn't know she had it. So, >> yeah. It's not real. >> Okay. >> Sorry to say that. I wish it was. Uh, it does have a typical usual simple quartz movement inside. >> Okay. >> So, >> all right. Well, thank you. >> Um, let me look at the bracelet here, too. >> Well, I didn't say you're not recording, right? >> I didn't say nothing stupid like I usually do. Uh so this actually bracelet is marked 18 karat gold by Rolex but the wear on a bezel just to make sure I can test it but I'm seeing spots like it's worn out in certain spots and I see a lot of metal on the inside. But if you want I can double check it. >> Find it. >> Yeah that's just to make sure. Yeah. I'm not I mean >> no it was like >> nothing to lose. Okay, if I can show you here now. I'm going to wipe this off. So, I tried it on the back of the clasp forever. >> As soon as I touched it, >> it ate away the plating and you can see like a silver kind of stainless steel or something underneath. >> Okay. All right. Well, thank you. >> Sorry. I wish it was real because you would had something. >> And is there a coin place around here that I could take coins to? >> Depends what kind of coins you have. Now, is this gold and silver or is this coin? >> There's some coin silver. I just don't think it's enough that you'd probably be interested. It's like what do you call them? Liberty walking liberty coins and >> walking liberty silver coins. Yes, >> cuz that I would be interested. >> All right. Well, I'll show it. I haven't >> show it to me. And if you can always say yes, no, or whatever, you know. >> So, I receive a card from Duth, Minnesota. Unfortunately, I can't read your name on a card. Rick Rich, sorry if it's incorrect, but your question is, I am a diecast collector from Dut Minnesota. Show me die cast, please. So, I don't deal that much with diecast. We have some here on display, probably 10, 15 cars, maybe 20. They come and go quite often, but most of them are between that 25 to $45 range. and 90% of them are in that 118th of a scale. A lot of different brands, but I love your town Theuth Minnesota. When you get up there on top of that hill and you're looking over the Lake Superior, absolutely amazing. Very familiar with that area. Go fishing around the loot a lot. Love it. So, I hope that answers your questions and maybe you'll spot something here that you're interested in. If you are, then reach out via email and we'll make a deal. >> So, you said you bought this originally from me? >> I uh sold it to you and then a week later I bought it for $10 more. >> Oh, gotcha. Gotcha. >> Just like that. And this time I have an extra battery. >> No charger though, right? >> Right. It was the same thing as before. I want it back. I just not working right now. >> What do you need to get out of it? >> Well, last time you gave me 25 for this. I was hoping maybe an extra 10 for that and then 45 to get it back. >> Okay. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> I appreciate it for you. >> It's great. I'm starving. >> Starving? >> Yeah. I'm working one day a week right now. Unemployment's not cutting it. >> No, >> you're not hiring up here, are you? >> Not really. Not at the moment. I'm pretty well set, you know. So, what are you working at now? >> I build X-ray machines over Ridgefield. >> It's pretty cool. There's only eight of us. We make about a hundred a year, but right now we just have no no orders. >> Huh. >> Yeah. Last December, two Decembers ago, we had 11 orders. Last December, we had two. >> This December, we had already >> I've been off for a long time. >> She said you got so much. >> That's not good. >> No, it's not good. That's like, you know, making a 100 grand a year to what to do to one day a week. >> What are you going to do in Alaska? >> Uh work at a fish big fish boat processing fish. >> Man, that's a hard work, man. >> Like 16 bucks. 16 hours a day, seven days a week. >> You're not exactly a 25y old. >> I know. I don't think I could do that. >> It's It's really hard work, man. Yeah, that's crazy. That Hunter >> truck next door. What is that >> trailer? >> Is it a >> Craigslist Hunter? Is that you guys? >> Yeah, that's See, it says Craigslist Hunter the bird and the cat. That's my YouTube channel. >> It's on here. Okay, so we >> I have a big loft. It's full of really nice furniture and stuff. Hi, boys and leather. >> See, the furniture is not my cup of tea. I don't do well with furniture. It takes a lot of room to to display it in the shop, >> so I wouldn't be interested at all. >> Okay. You brought that stuff in here. I have a little scale. It says it goes from about 40 to 100 bucks. I would take anything for it. It's really neat. Came from where I work. I don't think so. Not at this time. the vintage and antique stuff I'm really stepping away from. I'm still buying stuff here and there, but it has to be something super spectacular, you know. And when you go back to the room, I have three different scales there. >> Do you? >> Yeah, there's another room there that I keep all that stuff. Uh, so it hasn't been moving for me. So if I have two or three scales, I'm not going to buy another one. You know what I mean? >> I do understand. >> So uh if I can have your autograph here on the bottom. >> All right. So 25 for that one, 10 for this. So that's 35 bucks. >> So here's one, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100. I'll help you out. >> Okay. >> Thank you. God bless. >> Go ahead and feed yourself and feed your dogs. >> Okay. Appreciate you a lot. >> You're very welcome. >> And uh can I leave the table for a second? >> Yeah. Yeah. Walk around. >> Thank you. God bless. That's fine. >> So, >> I told him, >> I know you don't like me calling you Mr. Ba. How you doing? >> Good, man. How are you? >> Good. >> I told him originally I'll do 40 for him on this. >> Then it came down five more cuz he wanted to do 30, >> but then he had a proposition for you. So, >> I told him, >> so so I'm scared now. >> This is my proposal. So, um, >> gentleman here said 40 bucks. >> Uhhuh. >> Um, I said 30. He said, "Let's meet in the middle." So, I said, "Let's do this. That's two. Uh, best two out of three. Rock, paper, scissors. If I win, I get 30. If you win, you get 40. Cuz we were in the middle. 35. >> Hold on. Hold on. I got it better. Got it better. >> So, instead of rock, paper, scissors. So, we saying 40, you're saying 30. >> That's right. >> Green or red? Basically, head or tails? Which one you want to choose? >> Oh, is that a Polish coin? >> Yes, it is. >> Polish. Okay. >> Special. Which one would be considered heads? Which one's tails? No, but that that's homec court advantage though, you know. That's >> Polish. So five zwatic. That's that's that's head. And there's Polish eagle on this side. >> All right. >> That's that's your uh >> Can I call it in year? >> You want to flip it? >> Huh? >> You want to flip it? >> Sure. >> I suppose you could say green side or >> just let it drop. >> You Well, it might bounce or or you know, you want to do one of these. Sure, I'll do it if you can. >> All right. >> Okay. So, so what are we doing? We're just going to let it >> you pick. >> Okay. Uh, Tails never fails. So, Tails. >> Tails. It is. >> Awesome. >> That was good. >> Before we end today's video, this is a postcard that I got from Carl. Very cool. And Carl has a store, Glass Coin Records. Buy, sell, trade. special specializes in rock, funk, jazz, blues, hip hop, all kinds of stuff. Huh. So, that's his QR code right here if you guys want to scan it and give him a visit. He has a store on this cogs and eBay. Very cool. Very creative. Good luck to you. And he sent me a CD. I really appreciate it. Ain't nothing but a party. I'll definitely check this out. George Clinton. Future George Clinton. Fantastic, guys. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate you. I'll catch you on the next one. Cheers.
