These low calorie crispy potato balls are one of the best things you can eat for weight loss. And they're ridiculously crispy. Swed on the inside, crispy on the outside. Woo! Potatoes are actually a cheat code for fat loss if done correctly. And potatoes help me lose over 100 lbs. So today, I'm going to show you how to eat potatoes and lose weight. if you want to lose fat eating the foods you actually love. This is an incredibly simple recipe. First, grab 600 g of potatoes. Any kind works, but rusted gets the fluffiest. I like to wash my potatoes. So, someone commented telling me there's no need to wash potatoes because they come pre-washed. Look at my hands after touching a potato. Does that look clean to you? Peel them. Get the skins off. I used to use one of these Y-shaped peelers. They kind of suck. These kind of peelers are way easier to work with. Chop them up. It doesn't really matter how big or small you chop them, but the smaller they are, the faster they'll cook. I like to go 1in cubes. Now, throw your potatoes in a microwave safe glass bowl. The 600 g of potatoes after taking off the skins turn into 550 g. We got to get these potatoes soft. And it's kind of a lot of work to boil them or bake them. So instead, I just chuck it all in a glass bowl, take a glass plate, put that on top, and microwave. Nuke it for 12 to 15 minutes. We want them super soft, falling apart. But I would recommend halfway through you just check on it because the glass bowl gets really hot and the potatoes touching the glass bowl might, you know, burn. Ooh, plate's kind of hot. Okay. Typically, I would just leave this in the microwave and take my spatula and just toss it around. But since I want to show you guys Oh, lock in. Lock in. Let's go. I locked it. I don't know why I didn't leave this in my microwave. Y'all could have imagined this. I don't need to show you guys this. You guys know what tossing potatoes looks like. Just mix it. That was That was stupid. I could have just left this in my microwave. Now you cover this again. Back in the microwave and finish cooking. Once they're done, mash them with a fork. They're going to be the easiest to mash when they're warm, but they would be even easier to mash if you had a potato ricer. But in this kitchen, I don't have any fancy equipment, and I show you that you don't need anything fancy either. All right, the next step is the most important part for getting these really crispy. You have to let the mash cool down. So, spread it out in a bowl and just let it sit for like 15 minutes. Once it's fully cooled, we hit it with the seasonings. We're going to go in with 1 teaspoon of salt. Do not be shy with the salt. Go heavy. 3/4 I almost said cup. 3/4 teaspoon of garlic powder and 3/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika for that color and flavor. And the secret ingredient to get these super super crispy is fule demay, which is cornstarch. Cornstarch does something that gets the exterior of these potatoes so crispy while keeping the interior nice and soft and juicy because it just holds on to the moisture better. It's It's such a hack. This is the magic ingredient. 22 g of cornstarch. That's what gives us that crunchy glass-like shell. Cornstarch is the reason why we needed our potatoes to cool down. If the potatoes are too hot, the cornstarch will melt and you're going to get goo. We want crisp. Now, get your hands in there and mix it all up until it forms a single big dough ball. It should be smooth and not sticky at all. Try to rip off a piece of dough and just roll it into a ball like this. You see how it's not smooth? It's kind of cracking a little bit. That means this needs a little bit more moisture. So, all we're going to do is add in a tiny tiny splash of water and just work that into the dough. You got to be very careful. You do not want mashed potatoes. You still want a dough. So, just a little bit of water goes a long way. Then you can grab a bowl roll. And look, this is exactly what you want. It's nice and smoother. This batch makes two big servings. You're going to get a ton of bowls. It does take a little while to roll these into a bowl, but just like watch TV or something while you're doing it, okay? You could you could uh you could pass time. These don't need that much attention. You could have your brain on autopilot. Drop them into your air fryer basket. Give them a quick spray with oil. I counted 1 g of fat for the calories and macros of this oil. And then air fry these at 400° F for 13 to 17 minutes. Just check on them after 13 minutes. You want them nice and crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. 5 4 3 2 1 Let's go. Let's see those balls. I should never say that again. Whoa. Whoa. They getting crispy. These are looking really good. While those balls are cooling, I just got an order for the attractive. First thing I do is I come over here. I grab some bubble wrap and a bottle of the attractive. And then I print a label over here. You're eating healthy. You're going to the gym. You're making my recipes. Those are the most important things you can do. But a lot of that can get overlooked if you just don't look good. Like you want nice, clear, good skin. You want healthy, thick hair. So, you want to have a great physique for the rest of your life, but you also want to just look freaking fantastic, hot, sexy for the rest of your life. So, you take Be attractive. That's when they're best. Pair them with your favorite sauce. I'm just feeling regular ketchup today. We used cornstarch and get that crispy shell, not a bunch of oil. These are little puffy balls. They're super addicting. And when you break one open, it's just fluffy and soft on the inside. So, why are potatoes a cheat code for weight loss? These literally taste like the inside of a smiley fry with that glassy crispy outside. It's so popular on the internet. Carbs are the enemy for your weight loss. I've heard it from so many people in real life, too. And potatoes, you cannot lose weight eating them. It's completely wrong. It's not the potatoes fault. It's what we do to the potatoes. Yeah, of course. If you take potatoes and you deep fry them in a gallon of oil, then yeah, they're going to be super high calorie and horrible for weight loss. So, potatoes poundforpound are one of the most satiating filling foods in the world. Actually, they're number one. This is a satiety index. It's a scientific ranking of all the foods in the world to see which ones make you feel the most full. Fullness is one of the most important things for losing weight. You want to feel full. If you're hungry all the time, it's miserable losing weight. Potatoes are number one. They're more filling than bread. They're more filling than rice comparing carb sources, but they're also more filling than steak and eggs and meat. Watch this No. I'm cutting that. I'm cutting that part out. You're not seeing it. I'm still eating it. The ketchup did me dirty. The ketchup did me dirty. Watch this. There's no ketchup. I got it every single time. If there's no ketchup, I got it every single time. Just make them once, put them in your fridge or freezer, and just air fry them anytime you want to eat them.
