I Paid $200 for a Dealer Table and These Cards Shocked Me

I came to the beautiful Space Coast of Florida to go to a card show and I think this show is going to be to the moon. >> All right, let's see what you got. So technically I'm not not really pumping it at what would normally be the pop for PSA 10 versus a 95. I don't think any of the 95s are quads either. So and I'm shading it down obviously for uh business purposes. So I think it's a fair price. That's where I'd be at on Not a lot of them. >> No. One, the last PSA 10 that I see and it was the different image on it, but it went a little over a month ago for 1775. So, that was the pre >> obviously the pre-buildup. Yeah. I mean, it's definitely more valuable than that was. It's generally the wrong time to buy, you know, a football card of a guy right after he won the Super Bowl for sure. >> Um, but you also don't see like Sam Darnold rookie stuff that often anymore. That's I mean that's a really key card besides goals. That's probably the best best card you're going to get from uh 2018. >> Yeah. >> Not that he's going to necessarily be the next Josh Allen, but Josh is like 30 35 grand for his and he's got no ring. Yeah. So, a 95 and it was a true gem plus 95. It was a 10 95 9595. So, I mean that probably would cross over to a PSA 10 if you took that to PSA. >> What did that one sell? >> That one sold for That one sold for 35.554 on February the 8th. So, what was that? Was that the day of the Super Bowl? >> Um, right around then. Right. I think that was the day of the Super Bowl. >> Um >> maybe it would maybe maybe it wouldn't these days with PSA. They got a lot of Pokémon, but they got a pretty good selection of sports cards as well. And like, look at this. Like, the hobby is alive, man. The hobby is alive. Going to a local show like this anywhere in the country, you're probably seeing record crowds right now. Super cool to see how shows like this have grown over the last few years. Yeah. a lot of TCG. So, it's nice to see some sports represented. What is that? What is that Matthew Stafford 101 right there? >> It's kind of neat. You know those those uh mangas people man those have been hot in the market recently. People absolutely love those. And you got to think like we got you know panini going away right that's going to be that's like it this is like the last one that you're ever going to see. And the value of them in football and and in basketball especially these recent ones that have come out in basketball they've been surging in the market. I think it's one of those special case hits kind of like the Kabooms that people are just going to remember for a very long time and um as a result I think a lot of people are trying to collect them right now and put them in their collections. It's uh it's super cool. The only thing that worries me about that is that's from the brand new 2025 person football that only came out like in the last few weeks. And so typically when you know brand new ones hit the market they go for the most and then they start to come down a little bit. So, I don't know that that would be a smart buy and hold. That might be a smarter buy and sell right away, you know, and try to try to get better than 13 on it. Try to flip it essentially. If you're going to buy and hold, you might be better off waiting a few months for more of those to sell publicly and then the market might start to settle down a little bit on them. This case is going to be absolutely crazy. I can tell. What are we about to find in here? This is insane. Look at this. So, you just collect black labels. Unbelievable. What What drew you to collecting black labels? >> Bargain. Everybody else is, you know, my thing is you have athletes, you have movie stars, you have people with more money than time, and if you want to have something, would you rather have a card that has 2100 PSA pens or one black label? >> People like perfection. >> That's it. >> This is perfection. There's a card show in Abu Dhabi, I think, in uh October, and we went we just went there a couple months ago. So, I think about going back there in the Trey Turner rookies. >> Yeah. >> He's only got four total black label rookie autographs. >> Really? >> I have two of them plus the draft. >> How long has it taken you to build this collection? >> I think I probably four years. Well, there's anybody out there watching who was bidding on any black labels and uh didn't get what you wanted because somebody else was bidding hard against you.
