What is up, YouTube? Definitely been a while. Okay, I have what is my biggest mail day. You'll see a big box back here. Well, actually that's a small box, but I did get a card back from CGC. This is my first time using CGC card grading. Um, one card that I just wanted to show that I got recently, this sweet second year Kobe Bryant first day issue. Most people are after the serial numbers. This one isn't serial numbered, but I heard the print is anywhere from 200 to 300. I think online you'll read it's 200, but I swear I read something that um it's actually closer to 300 regardless. Uh a second year Kobe first day issue. Um very short printed card, very cool. It has some surface scratches, but the card itself looked pretty nice. Um this will sit nicely in my binder. Um definitely not worth grading. I'll keep this in the back. Okay, so my box before I open it. So, I purchased this 1968 Nolan Ryan Jerry Kuzzman rookie card uh back in June 25th of 2025. So, I bought it through a seller on eBay and I took a whim on it because there was an error in the listing. He listed it as a 1969. Um I guess the the thing that I ran into was if I purchased from him on eBay through Canada, there's no authenticity guarantee. It looked good from my research and uh I was pretty sure it was real. He's a legit seller. I purchased from him before and I paid close to 2750 after tax, which is a lot of money. Uh and I got it back. When I got it in the mail, it looked good. It did have a little bit of a miscut in the top. I still tried sending it to PSA and PSA reviewed it very quickly and then unfortunately came back as miscut. And to me this is a blessing in disguise. Um it wasn't men's size luckily um fortunately and unfortunately I guess but uh yeah came back miscut and I was thinking what should I do with this now? And I remember some inspiration from I guess I have to shout out to Mike's Mike Junkwax hero. He sent his 1968 uh Nolan Ryan Jerry Kuzzman off to P off to uh dual autograph through Mr. to Jerry Kzman and Nolan Ryan followed by PSA. So, um I wasn't going to send it back to PSA because it was probably going to come back as miscut again. So, I sent it to Jerry Kuzzman. I was sweating bullets because it was a super expensive card at 2750, but he is very good. He kept my uh letter which I wrote to him and it he sent it back. Uh this is the envelope that I'll forever keep. And it came back fairly quickly in a like two to three weeks I would say. And then I sent off the card which was beautifully autographed by Mr. Kuzman to Mr. Nolan Ryan um to his foundation. I sent it August 29th, 2025 and he quotes 10 to 14 weeks but they are running severely behind. Uh well I'm running into I guess a bunch of holidays. I think Labor Day, um, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year. Um, so a ton of holidays. It took almost 21 to 22 weeks to get it back. Uh, I paid $75 for the auto if I recall. And then, uh, he actually upped his charge to 150, so double the price. Um, so I'm glad I sent it when I did. Um, his prices have gone up probably because the turnaround. I'm sure the demand has gone high as uh they're not getting any younger. So after that, I sent the card off to CGC. I figured if I send it to PSA, it's just going to get an authentic card and um most likely I'm hoping authentic auto because it was signed by them and I have the uh the proof over here to show that. So the the the thinking was JSA in my opinion is just as good as the PSA DNA. Um, and it would be a massive win if the card got number graded. So, I I did see what the card came back as. Um, and I'm just gonna go ahead and open the box here. This is my first time looking at this. The funny thing is with CGC when I sent this off. I put it in a PSA box. Um, so they received it out of a PSA box. I I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing or um if they'll kind of laugh at that, but I just thought it was funny that I sent it off in that that manner. So, just try to get This is Oh, man. This has a lot of tape in it. I don't know if I'm opening it correctly. I'm just going to take it off camera for a sec. Okay. So, I'm obviously struggling here. Here, I'm just going to do a quick voice over. Uh, the CGC submission only took a week and I paid about $150ish dollars, just a little over 150, which I thought was reasonable. The PSA grading cost for that Nolan Ryan could have been about $400 plus an upcharge. So, I just didn't see the uh the benefit in that. Um, and the Nolan Ryan card, I actually asked for no sticker on the back. You can do that if you leave a note through the Ryan Foundation. Um, I don't know. I think it's arguable if the sticker adds or diminishes value on the back. I just didn't like it on there. So, uh, I requested not to have it added on and they didn't add it on, which is great. Okay, there we go. So, let's see if I can try to hide the grade. Okay. Where is Okay, this. So, this is the back. So, it did come back holdered, which is good. Uh, let's see if I can cover it. I don't know which side it's on. Let's just do this. So, again, it's a win if it comes back as a So, I got both graded, the card and the uh the autograph. So, you can see beautiful autograph. Um, beautiful card. the the miscut, if you can tell, is kind of up here. It's pointing out a little bit more, but not too bad in general. So, it did get card grade four, auto 9. I I was hoping for the 10 auto. Um I'm guessing it's maybe a little streaky with Nolan Ryan's, but uh yeah, this is sweet. I have no idea what thing this thing is worth. I'm sure the population is quite low, but uh card grade 4 auto 9. So, it went from the miscut to the 49. And I think this definitely adds a little bit of value. I'm not much of an autograph collector. Um I was hoping to get maybe a Milton Bradley of this version. Um definitely not the Venezuelan Venezuelan. That's out of my price range, but got this cool card now. And the case is actually pretty sweet, too, for CGC. Um, but yeah, this is my biggest mail day. Super excited. Not so excited. It looks like the the edge is kind of fraying out. I wish they kind of closed it in there. Um, but now I have this dual auto that's going to sit in my collection. Um, yeah, I'm not the biggest auto guy, but this just went through the whole gauntlet of sending to Kuzzman, sending to Nolan Ryan, waiting forever, and then sending to CGC. Uh, I'll probably display this and then further down the future, maybe I'll uh sell or trade it off for just uh I'm actually more of just a plain rookie card type of person. Uh, but this is exciting and it was kind of fun going through the uh the whole process. Thanks for watching.
