Analysis Summary
Ask yourself: “If I turn the sound off, does this argument still hold up?”
Us vs. Them
Dividing the world into two camps — people like us (good, trustworthy) and people not like us (dangerous, wrong). It exploits a deep human tendency to favor our own group. Once you accept the division, information from "them" gets automatically discounted.

All right, so at this point, the state of Virginia is absolutely finished. This comes after an illegal alien killed an American citizen at a bus stop, and now the governor is demanding ICE agents to get judicial warrants just to pick him up. How far will she go in her radical reign? Well, that's exactly what we're going to get into in this video. But let's start exactly with what the state legislature is saying about the governor. Take a listen. >> Somebody told me that working public safety with certain people in this chamber was like using my gas powered leaf blower while wearing snow skis. and I've been biting my tongue. But then came Abdul Jalo. You see, in Fairfax County, there's a pretty good argument that not only would Stephanie Mentor still be alive if we enforced our border policies, but that people who have violated our border policies actually get treated better. Better. Taking information from the reporting of WJLA and Nick Manino, I learned, and I quote, "From their website, Steve will make charging and plea decisions that limit or avoid immigration consequences wherever possible." I could actually understand if it said wherever practicable or wherever appropriate. But no, it says wherever possible. So Stephanie Mentor joins thousands who've died at people at the hands of people who shouldn't be here anyway if we enforced our laws. And I stood up and said, "Who do I blame? I blame politicians for not passing border laws they're willing to enforce. Screaming and demonizing ICE is like complaining to the cashier at McDonald's for the price of the Big Mac. They didn't do the laws that they enforce. They're just enforcing them. And yet, no one has the intellectual honesty to just put in an open BORDERS BILL. DO IT. If that's what you want. >> I mean, at this point, you'd have to argue that the state of Virginia is finished for this time being. I mean, they're allowing illegal aliens to run rampant. They are not honoring ICE detainers. Taxes are now going up. They are voting on this measure to redistrict the state. I mean, this is the polar opposite to what Glenn Yncan gave people who lived in Virginia, which was a much more balanced approach to governance. And so, obviously, my heart and my hope for people living in Virginia that somehow someway this governor will wake up one day and do the right thing. People like that criminal that killed Stephanie Mentor should not only be arrested, but he should have been handed over to ICE immediately and shipped out of this country. That's just the way that I see it. Which is why more authorities are now speaking out against the governor. Take a listen. Governor Spanberger in her response basically said, "You can come and get this guy who just murdered Stephanie Mentor if you have a judicial warrant," which she very well knows, having been a federal officer herself is not a tool in immigration's toolbox. So, what she's basically saying is, "No, you can't have it." She's setting the policy that Virginia is a sanctuary state. And this case, Stephanie Mentor's case and her death is the tragic consequence. >> You don't know about Stephanie Mentor or Abdul Jalo. What's your reaction to an illegal immigrant murdering a woman allegedly in Fairfax County last week? >> In the middle of a conversation. Thanks. >> Sir, what's your reaction to a Virginia mother being murdered allegedly by an illegal immigrant in Fairfax County, an area that you represent? Sir, you don't have anything to say. Delegate Helmer, Lieutenant Governor, what's your reaction to this murder in Fairfax County? No response. What do you have to say to the family of Stephanie Mentor, Lieutenant Governor? Democratic Governor Abigail Spanberger has demanded ICE obtain a signed judicial warrant in order to take custody of Jalo, which officials argue is not legally required under federal immigration laws. And to actually back up that statement, the Supreme Court just ruled in favor of the Trump administration as it pertains to the difference between a judicial judge and and an immigration judge. If an immigration denies someone's asylum claim and believes they don't have enough evidence, that is a final order. Democrats try to sue uh the Trump administration as it pertained to that policy, trying they they essentially wanted them to get a judicial ruling when it came to whether or not someone's asylum claim would be approved. That is outrageous. It's the same situation here. We don't need a judicial warrant. We have an administrative board issued by an immigration judge. If you are not going to actually give that attention and allow that to take place, what is the purpose of an immigration judge exactly? Again, Democrats continued to defend illegal aliens all the way. I'll show you another example that Virginia Senator Mark Warner had this to say when they confronted him about this tragic story. >> Hi, Senator Warner. I have a question pertaining to ICE. So, Governor Spanberger is telling ICE they need to obtain judicial warrants to detain illegal aliens. But we recently had a case here in Virginia where an illegal immigrant with an extensive and violent criminal history has been released back into the community several times due to this rule and has now stabbed and killed another woman. In cases like this, where is the line? And should Virginia cooperate with ICE more freely in order to protect the lives of Americans? >> Well, listen, of course. Um, if someone has a history of violent crime, they should be arrested and deported if they're here illegally. But I'll point out that over 80% of the individuals that have been picked up by ICE in Virginia as they try to hit their daily quotas have had no um criminal history or record other than coming um in into our country. and many of them even having come in uh undocumented were going through a process that uh uh would bring about legal status. So they're trying um to play by the the amnesty rules or other rules who were put forward. >> Okay, you guys know how I like to do this. Let's use their logic, ladies and gentlemen. He says 80% of the people who've been apprehended, detained, arrested by ICE have no criminal record. Okay, what about the 20%. Isn't 20% more than enough for you guys to say, "Hey, you know what? We need to allow administrative warrants to take place in our state." 20% of people on the streets in the state of Virginia have charges or crimes or homicide to their name. And because you care so much about the 80% or you have what I call fatal empathy, you essentially allowing these 20% of people to get away. That's what she should have followed up with. It's totally disgusting in my opinion. a betrayal to the people who live in Virginia. But that's not the only state under attack, by the way. Uh let's go to this particular clip just briefly. This is a New Jersey state representative who essentially is calling for this type of legislation. Listen to this. >> We've got a package of bills and one has a spicy name. Um but it's a very serious concept. So it's fight unlawful conduct and keep individuals and communities empowered aka ICE. Um, but what it really is is clarifying the route of civil action so that you can sue ICE because right now it's really hard to hold them accountable or to press any criminal charges despite um all of their unlawful conduct. And so that's what it is. It's like, no, we're going to we're going to sue the hell out of them if we can. >> All right. Again, let's use their logic based on what they're saying about ICE and why ICE should be sued. Then if that's the case, law enforcement, particularly police officers, sheriffs, FBI, DEA, and representatives in the state government, all should be sued equally. None of them should enjoy immunity. If we're going to throw immunity out the window for ICE agents, we might as well just throw out throw immunity out for everyone, including her. I mean, I'm telling you, this is a dangerous way to govern. Now, the local reporter in Virginia who's really been on this uh this story uh continue to reach out to the governor's office for a comment uh regarding this tragedy. She's yet to respond. Hear this. >> So, several legal experts I've spoken to say ICE does not need a judicial warrant for an immigration arrest. And some experts I've spoken to say that appears that the governor here is trying to put up roadblocks to make ISIS's job harder. When ICE wants to detain an illegal immigrant in the Fairfax County Jail, they send detainers and administrative warrants to the sheriff, which is what happened in the case of Abdul Jallow, who has a lengthy criminal history and is now charged with murdering a Virginia mother at a Fairfax County bus stop. But Virginia Governor Abigail Spamberger's office says if ICE wants him, they should request a signed judicial warrant. However, legal experts I spoke to agree that ICE cannot go to a local Fairfax County judge to get a judicial warrant. Ben Messer with the American Immigration Lawyers Association says ICE can go to a federal judge for a warrant. ICE can go to a federal judge, a federal district judge there in Virginia, and say, "This person is charged with this crime in the Commonwealth, and they probably can get access to some of the records that have been used to charge the guy and say, "This is why, you know, we think he's dangerous." But former federal prosecutor Zach Smith says ICE cannot get a federal warrant for a state crime, which is what Jallow is charged with. >> Essentially, what the governor and others who support her position are doing is they're making it more difficult uh for ICE to do their jobs. It could lead to some of these violent repeat offenders being released back onto the street before federal authorities can pick them up. Uh and essentially what this is designed to do is to throw additional roadblocks uh in the way of federal immigration authorities being able uh to effectively and safely do their jobs. >> Now, let's just take a moment here and really dissect this for a second. You have a governor who promised safety, who promised affordability, who promised peace. She's doing the very opposite of that. and the rest of the country should take note because when the upcoming election occurs, whether that's midterms, whether that is state governors, whatever it is, if people continue to vote for people like her, this is the result they're going to get. Not public safety, not affordability, and definitely not common sense. >> The governor says that I should get a judicial warrant if they want this guy. To some people, a judicial warrant might sound like a reasonable request. Is it? That's what I think her her tactic is to say something that sounds reasonable but it's inherently not reasonable and certainly not necessary. >> Jonathan Fehee is a former federal prosecutor and a former Fairfax County prosecutor. He's also a former acting director of ICE. >> Seems like if you went to a Fairfax judge, they would say this is a federal matter. If you went to a federal judge yet and somehow they were able to do this, there would be a massive backlog in cases. In fact, they wouldn't be able to do anything else other than issue warrants and not do any of their other judicial responsibilities. Now, tonight, ICE tells me that there is no judge in the country who has the authority to issue a warrant for an immigration violation. So Nick, if ICE can't get signed judicial warrants from judges in these cases that you're just referencing and doesn't have to according to federal law, then what does Governor Spamberger have to say about that? >> Right, Scott. So I reached out to Governor Spamberger's office for clarification on that. She says she wants them to get signed judicial warrants. So how would they do that if they can't get it from a local judge and if they can't get it from a federal judge? What do they do? Her office still has not responded. and her office probably won't respond because what he's asking is the truth. And again, people like her uh who govern like her, they are allergic to the truth. The fact of the matter is even if it was possible for a ICE agent to secure a judicial warrant, it's not actually practical. And the reason why that is is because again, we knew what this was going to turn into, which is why immigration judges exist. It's so fascinating. You know, it's like, "Hey, I I I know you want to go to the doctor for what's happening with your brain, but you know, I need you to actually go get a note and an authorization from your back doctor first." That doesn't make any sense. But that's the way that they're putting it. And again, this is why we're trying to communicate what's really going on here and why I believe Virginia for the time being uh is finished. Now, just to make sure my point is thorough here, I want you to hear from the state senator of Virginia. He's not using 8020. He's now using 75% 25%. Meaning 75% that have been arrested by uh ICE in the state of Virginia have no record. Listen to it for yourself. They were they they had the opportunity. They were notified electronically repeatedly that he was being arrested repeatedly and they elected not to do anything about it. Why was that? Maybe it's because they're busy shooting poets. Maybe it's because they were busy shooting nurses. Maybe it's because they're busy with their surge in Minnesota or Memphis or all the other places instead of doing what the president promised he was going to do when he ran for office, which was to capture and deport violent undocumented immigrants, which apparently is not what they have an interest in doing because 75% of the people been picked up don't have any criminal history. And from my perspective, if my district's perspective, there's a dead person in my district because ICE seems focused on doing things other than what the president promised and what they should be doing, which is focus on keeping us safe. Okay, just for a second here, one could argue that uh Stephanie Mentor is also dead because you guys refuse to do your job because you're essentially having this fatal empathy for the 75% of people who are already in the country unlawfully. You focus all your attention on that group and you give little attention to the 25% who actually have charges to their name like homicide, rape, pedophilia, all of these things. Hey, you don't want to focus on them, right? Again, I'm telling you, this stuff is dangerous. One last clip for you and really a good shout out to this reporter, Nick Man. He's he's done a great job covering this. Here's his final point. He reached out to the district attorney and essentially he discovered a bombshell. The actual district attorney never subpoenaed the victims in that criminal's case. Watch this. >> Hey, it's Nick Manak with 7 News. When I reached out to Fairfax County Commonwealth attorney Steve Dano about why his office dropped so many charges against Abdul Jalo, the illegal immigrant now accused of murdering a Virginia mother at a bus stop. Disano's office partly blamed the victims in his past cases. Disano's office said that victim testimony was crucial for a successful prosecution. Well, I spent some time at the Fairfax County Courthouse today. Here are some of the cases I've been looking at. I found in three separate cases. Two were malicious wounding charges. Another was an assault and battery charge. I found that Dano's office did not subpoena the victim. And there's no record in the public case file of Disano's office even trying to reach out to the victims and Jallow's past cases. Instead, in all three cases, Dano dropped them, allowing Jallow to walk free. Now, Mentor is murdered. >> Okay, I mean, what more needs to be said? You guys give me your thoughts in the comments section below. Do you agree? For the time being, Virginia is under some serious trouble. Taxes are going to go up. They are redistricting their state. They're allowing criminals like that thug and scum to go free. They're handicapping the local sheriff and the police. They will not allow them to honor ICE detainers. Now you have the governor on record demanding judicial warrants to take place just to pick up someone who essentially we already know committed the crime. What is going on there? Give me your reaction and and everything you got in the comment section below. So, our next story involves the president issuing another warning to Iran. All right, so our next story involves the president issuing another warning to this murderous Iranian regime. As you guys know, things are continuing to heat up and as a result, Democrats are now obsessing over gas prices. So, if you guys missed out on that update more, click on the video because it's coming up right now.
