Analysis Summary
Fear appeal
Presenting a vivid threat and then offering a specific action as the way to avoid it. Always structured as: "Something terrible will happen unless you do X." Most effective when the threat feels personal and the action feels achievable.

Worth Noting
Positive elements
- The video provides specific, useful data points regarding a known buggy Nvidia driver (595.59) and comparative CPU benchmarks for a new game title.
Be Aware
Cautionary elements
- The use of hyperbolic language like 'screwed us all' and 'obliterated' to describe routine hardware cycles and software bugs.

Nvidia just screwed us all. If you downloaded [music] this Nvidia driver, you need to roll it back. AMD just obliterated Intel and MSI and AMD to the rescue. [music] Welcome everyone to Gamerm. As if GPU prices haven't already skyrocketed enough, Nvidia just told us that it's about to get even worse. And when I say prices have skyrocketed, I mean, look at this. What did Nvidia say about not stopping the production of the 570 Ti? Well, it's over a grand at this point. And according to a news story that originally comes from the CEO himself during their recent earnings call while talking about the gaming segment, he said, quote, "As much as we would love to have more supply, we do believe for a couple of quarters, it is going to be very tight. If things improve by the end of the year, there is an opportunity to think about what that is from a year-over-year growth. But it is too early for us to know at this time. We will get back to you as soon as we can. So yeah, this tells us a couple things. One, that supply is going to be very tight, which means even higher prices. And of course, while he's referring to GPU supply, what he really means is the amount of supply that they're willing to allocate to gaming GPUs. Because while memory prices are high, they're going to allocate more to higher profit businesses like AI. And obviously, as a business, that does make sense. but it definitely sucks for gamers. Moving back to that quote, he first mentions that supply will be tight for a couple of quarters, but then he says, quote, "If things improve by the end of the year," meaning it very likely could last to the end of the year. And he's not even sure if it will end by the end of the year. So, yeah, things are not looking good. With that said, there are some decent deals right now on Newegg with their build upgrade save event. Well, decent given all the terrible stuff going on right now, like a GPU that's not just listed at MSRP, but it also comes with an $85 AIO for free. So, check out some of those deals down in the description below. They are affiliate links, so they don't cost you anything more and it helps the channel out. Nvidia owners need to see this, especially if you install the company's most recent driver. If you missed it, Nvidia, AMD, and Intel released new game ready drivers recently. And what's wild is that for the first time in a while, all three GPU makers released game ready drivers for the same games. Unfortunately, Nvidia had to take theirs down. So, if you try to get it right now, you won't be able to. But there's also some info for those who already downloaded it. So, it all started with the feedback thread on Nvidia's driver release where a number of complaints started surfacing about a couple issues. First is an issue with fan control that had users claim their GPU's fans stop responding, custom fan curves would get ignored, and even fan sensors wouldn't appear in third-party tools. So clearly a major issue, but it doesn't stop there as a second group of users reported weird issues with boost behavior. Specifically, that their clocks couldn't get as high as before. Apparently, the voltage was locked to.95 volts. There were even reports of HDR not working with the new driver, and most of these seem to affect Nvidia's newest RTX50 cards. This led Nvidia to remove the driver and announce an update. In it, they basically state that they discovered a bug and are investigating. But users who already installed the driver, they requested that you roll back to the previous release. So yeah, if you did install this driver, I definitely suggest rolling back to the previous release. Finan issues like this could potentially cook your GPU, especially if you're one of the ones who has a fan or two that are sleeping while gaming. Yeah, this is wild. As if Nvidia GPUs weren't already known for combusting. Now, this hopefully Nvidia can release the new update soon as Resident Evil Reququum has already released. And speaking of the new Resident Evil title, AMD CPUs just obliterated Intel as we have our first performance review from the German site PC Games Hardware. And as you can see in a comparison between CPUs, multiple AMD CPUs beat out Intel's newest Core Ultra 285K. In fact, Intel's own previous gen CPU beat it out as well. Obviously, the 9850 X381, but I have to say that I didn't expect it to win like this. We're looking at 318.5 FPS versus just 212.2. And yes, this is average FPS, not max FPS or anything like that. Then we have the 9950X30D unsurprisingly winning. But then AMD's last gen 7800 X3D handily beats it as well. Followed by their $7600 X3D. Remember that's a 6 core 12thread CPU that's currently selling for just 200 bucks. Yet it beats out Intel's $550 285K. And it actually gets even worse from here. But before I get to that part, do keep in mind that this is only one game and Intel's 285K would smoke all of these, but the 9950X3D in professional workloads. But it's still wild to see just how big of a difference AMD's X3D chips can get in some games. Moving on, we actually have AMD's 5800 X3D. Their CPU that released all the way back in 2022 is able to win here. Though, I do want to point out that it does lose when we're looking at the lows. But the fact that average FPS can even be close to it, much less actually win, is still really shocking. And don't forget that Intel is planning to release a refreshed Aerol Lake for next gen. It won't be until their follow-up release that Intel actually makes a big change. Now, don't get me wrong, Nova Lake is set to be a massive boost over current gen parts, and they even include their own version of X3D if the leaks are right. So, that is definitely exciting, but they really need to hurry. And with all of the terrible news today, I had to find a positive story for you. And I have. If you remember, not too long ago, I talked about people buying up AMD's 5800 X3D and older AM4 boards so they could buy DDR4 memory. Well, MSI just announced two brand new budget motherboards built on the AM4 platform. the Pro B550 MB and the B550 MA Pro. For those who may not know, the B550 chipset is a really great midlevel chipset between the X570 and A520. Now, they may not seem all that great given both feature only two DDR4 slots for up to 64 GB of memory and up to DDR4 4600. They both offer PCI Express 4.0* 16 with the A Pro model offering a PCI Express 3.0* 0* 1 slot, but the B550 MB model gets a PCI Express 3.0 M.2 slot. On top of both of them getting a PC Express 4.0 M.2 slot. So, obviously not top-of-the-line boards, but using the MSRP that was released for Japan, we're looking at around $8125 for the Pro B550 MB and just 6962 for the B550 MA Pro. So, these really are wellpriced boards. Of course, it sucks to think about buying an AM4 board in 2026. And while the 5800 X3D is still clearly relevant, prices for it have skyrocketed, so it's tough to justify it for that. But if you're looking for a budget build with a different AMD CPU, it could be a great option. And don't forget that AMD keeps releasing new chips for AM4 boards, so it'll likely get support for quite a while. Not only that, but don't forget to check out the deals I have down in the description below.
