I'm giving you the complete snatched blueprint. Face and body tea. Lemon ginger tea. If you think you look tired, droopy, like gravity is personally attacking you. What if I told you there's a muscle in your jaw right now actively pulling your face down and you've been accidentally making it stronger this whole time? And there's more where this came from. Today, we're covering facial and body anatomy snatch secrets that most people get wrong because the answer is not actually more Botox. We're also talking about workout styles that create more definition without bulking. We're looking into why you look bloated half the month and how to work with that instead of against it and some other controversial methods that celebrities gatekeep. But I won't. If you're someone who wants to feel more confident in your body, you want to know the science behind what actually works and level up physically, mentally, and spiritually. Hit subscribe. My name is May and this channel is your complete guide for your glow up. My community is called Stoic Angels. We're all in it together. Every video has chapters in them, and I also made a free guide to accompany this video, so you don't have to take notes. I highly suggest you download it as well and check it out in the description. Now, let's get into it. Let's start by talking about building your body. Here's a visual principle that actually changed how I think about body composition. If you build the muscles in your shoulders and your glutes, your waist looks smaller by comparison. You don't even have to lose inches around your middle. the visual proportion of your body shifts. Strength training builds muscle mass which increases your baseline metabolism and more muscle means more calories burned at rest. Not only that, it also creates more shape, more curves, definition. Resistance training positively affects body composition and can reduce waist circumference. Now, here's where people get confused. A lot of people think that Pilates and bar, for example, don't work and they're not real workouts because you're not lifting heavy. And this is a fundamental misunderstanding of what these workouts actually do. Pilates and bar target your stabilizer muscles. I call them the ballerina muscles. The small muscles that support your joints and creates long lean definition. Research shows Pilates effectively activates core muscles in the way that traditional exercises sometimes miss. I have personally seen bodybuilder guys who can deadlift their whole body weight who absolutely aren't alive in a reformer Pilates class because their big muscles are strong but their small muscles have not been trained at all. And these small muscles create the definition without the bulk. They support your posture. They give you a pulled together look. So heavy lifting builds power and builds curves, but Pilates and bar built precision. And I do both. They serve completely different purposes. And if you do both strength training and Pilates a bar, you will have a very well-rounded fitness plan. I am also walking constantly. Even on days when the weather is terrible, I'm on my treadmill. I pace around my house. I'm always moving. Some of you may be sick of hearing this, but it is true that walking does not get a credit it deserves. Research consistently shows that daily walking improves health outcomes across basically every single metric. But for aesthetics specifically, consistent lowintensity movement supports circulation, helps with lymphatic drainage, and keeps your metabolism active throughout the day. Lymphatic drainage is important because your lymphatic system, which is under your skin, it removes waste, toxins, and excess fluid from your tissues. This is a great way to debloat. When this system works properly, it helps prevent swelling, supports your immune system, and keeps your tissues healthy. Exercise can help stimulate the system or even manual lymphatic drainage, which is a specialized massage technique. And this is particularly useful for people recovering from surgery or dealing with chronic swelling or managing medical conditions. I myself do dry brushing for lymph drainage before showers with a brush like this. And I also do a lot of self massage. And once I launched my new Stoic Angels membership platform, I have made some in-depth videos about this. And this is all coming soon, by the way. So, aside from brushing yourself with a dry brush, even regular movement throughout the day helps keep lymph flowing properly. So, you don't have to do all of that unless you need to as long as you're moving your body. Now, here's the thing. You want to feel good while you're working out because if you feel frumpy and your clothes don't fit you right, you won't even want to show up. These workout clothes I'm wearing right now will get you instantly snatched to the heavens. And this video is sponsored by Halara. This is my first time partnering up with them. And angels, you need to know I am very particular about athleisure. I went to fashion school and I studied psychology and I know most brands do not design active wear that actually fit women's bodies. Some of them out there, not naming names, but they would make two elastic tubes and call it a pair of leggings or their inseam is for someone who's 7 feet tall. Halara is made for women who have lives to live because they co-design their pieces with their community Halara Circle. It is so important to listen to customers feedback and the result is they pretty much solve every design painoint when it comes to women's at leisure. Their pieces also have compression built in. It instantly snatches you up. It supports you and it's super comfortable to work out in. I'm short, by the way, and they have petite and tall sizes. For me, that means my leggings fit perfect. They don't bunch up at the ankles or drag on the floor. All of the leggings I got have invisible pockets on them. And if you're a pad mom, their fabric barely catches lint. Let's talk about the leggings real quick. First of all, the Ultra Sculpt high-waist scrunch buttlfting leggings, and I got it in Dawn Brown. These are the ones I literally wear three times a week. The booty scrunch actually lifts your butt up visibly because of their fabric technology. And the tummy control is insane, but it doesn't feel tight or restrictive. I like to pair this with this seamless push-up warming sports bra, and the color is caribou. It makes my girls look huge, and they don't go anywhere. Next, we have the same style leggings, but in boot cut and in black. These are for the girls who don't love the legging look, but still want that snatched feeling. And the boot cut is so flattering. I wear this when I want to look put together, but still be comfortable. This volcanic ash color in the boot cut that I'm wearing. Same tummy control, same pocket, and this one doesn't have the butt scrunch, but the gray is so versatile and it hides literally everything. It's seamless. This is my favorite pair, I think. And then the so cinch leggings in falling gray purple. This lilac color is super pretty in person as well. And the cinching on these is next level. Like it pulls you in at the waist in a way that's like look, the world is not fair, okay? Not when you have a pair of leggings that can do that. I also got the crisscross backless yoga crop top in black. And also what I'm wearing right now, the square neck version in white. And this one also has SPF 50 built into it. I also got this softly zero rouge yoga shorts with the butt scrunch. A lace minikrt with pockets inside which is perfect for tennis and brunch Sundays. A long sleeve yoga sports top with chic thumb holes in them. I love the thumb hole detail as well as a super cute pleated skirt with this asymmetrical detail. It's perfect for tennis again [clears throat] and also music festivals. And then lastly, I got the crisscross lace up bodycon dress. In case you're looking for the perfect date night dress, this is it. They have so many colors. But what I love the most is how Halara actually prioritizes designing for women's bodies and their needs. And remember what I said about them listening to customer feedback. You too can get your hands on every piece I'm wearing if you join the Halara Circle and try to close out for free in exchange for your thoughts. You can also use my coupon for 20% off any of these pieces. But you should stock their website because I'm telling you, there were so many pieces that I was eyeing and then they sold out literally the next day. So clearly women love buying clothes they feel good in. And who knew, right? Thank you to Halara again for sponsoring this video. Now, let's talk about working with your body. Obviously, I should mention that there are certain clothing styles that look amazing on other people that make me personally feel terrible about myself, and I've learned what those are, and I simply don't wear them. This isn't about hiding yourself, but about dressing for your body and what makes you feel confident. So, rule of thumb, avoid anything that makes you feel bad. There are also infinite other options that are better for you. And the best way to find out what looks good is to go to the store and try on all kinds of silhouettes. This next point is also very important. Know your cycle. Research shows that women report feeling more bloated during menration. Hormonal fluctuations throughout your cycle affects water retention. Some women retain water significantly in the days before their period. For example, I'm generally fit. I have no GI issues and I still look about four months pregnant for a couple of days before my period starts. And that is just how hormones work. You cannot look snatched 247 if you have a menstrual cycle. Your body will fluctuate and this is normal. So work with your cycle. For the lutil phase, for example, which is the week before your period is when you might crave and benefit from healthy complex carbs. We're talking sweet potatoes, quinoa, brown rice. Your body is preparing for potential pregnancy even when you're not. So support it. Don't judge yourself against how you look at a different point in your cycle. and compare week one to week one, week three to week three. Posture is also everything. I have seen women genuinely beautiful women with terrible posture and it takes away from everything. So shoulders back, chin slightly up, core engaged and imagine an invisible string pulling you up from the crown of your head. How you carry yourself changes how every single thing fits on your body and how your face is positioned, how your facial muscles are pulling on your face. And I will get into this as well. Good posture is free. It is instant. And most people don't even think about this. Your gut health as well shows up on your face and your body. I drink a massive amount of water. Especially because I also eat high fiber, which requires a lot of water to move through your system properly. Without enough water, high-fiber diets cause constipation, which causes bloating, which also makes you feel terrible. Probiotics support your gut microbiome. Fermented foods, yogurt, kafir, kimchi. I made a video talking about gut health in detail. You can watch that as well after this one. Coffee and tea are also natural diuretics. They help things move, but I never drink them without also drinking water. If you're having severe digestive issues, I would recommend you see a doctor. But for everyday bloat management, it usually comes down to enough water, enough fiber, healthy gut bacteria, and regular elimination. Now, let's talk about what I mean by your face is constantly being pulled down. And here is something crazy that actually changed how I understand my own face. You have a muscle called the depressor angular orus. We'll call it the dao for short. I call it the ops. It runs from the corners of your mouth down to your jawline. And its literal job is to pull the corners of your mouth down. This is the muscle that you use when you frown, when you express sadness, or when you're stressed, frustrated. holding tension on your face in your Dow muscles and that is when you train this muscle. And unlike your biceps or your glutes, you don't know that you're doing this. Over time, this muscle is going to get stronger and stronger, tighter, and then it starts pulling downwards even when your face is at rest. That's why so many people look like they have frowning or have resting face. It is also why they say that when you're frowning or when you're not smiling, you're actually using double the amount of muscles. Well, this is one of them. Your mouth corners start to droop and that's also partly where jowls come from. According to research published in aesthetic plastic surgery, jowls develop in the subcutaneous layer where the skin overlies the mandibular ligament area. So, the study found that as we age, the elastic connective tissue that keeps skin mobile without laxity in youth literally lengthens itself. the skin starts to sag in this specific location because of how these muscles are constantly pulling and pulling and the connective tissue is loosening up. So Botox in the Dow is a thing. Dermatologists do inject it to relax the muscles so it stops pulling downwards. And when the pulling down muscle relaxes, your natural lifting muscles, the ones that pull the corners of your mouth up, become dominant again. Your face literally will look more lifted without adding anything. But here's what I want you to understand. You can work on this naturally too and I don't actually condone the use of Botox. Do your own research. So what are some natural methods to counter the Dow muscles facial exercises for lifting for example? And I want to be transparent with you on this. Some dermatologists say that facial exercises won't reverse this. But I beg to defer because a study published in Jamama Dermatology in 2018 found that the 20week facial exercise program was associated with improved appearance of facial aging. participants were rated as looking younger after consistent practice. The logic makes sense when you think about this. You're strengthening the muscles that lift upwards while being more conscious about the muscles that pull down. And you always also have to consider this. When these people are saying that something is not good for you, you have to think about why are they saying this? Is it because it's their business? So, I'm going to teach you a technique that dermatologists will hate me for. Here, start with your lips together. Gently tuck them in and then consciously lift the corners of your mouth into a slight smile like this. If you see lines forming around your mouth, use your fingers to smooth them out and then hold it for about 20 seconds. You should feel the muscles in your cheeks working. And when you do this, you're actively engaging the muscles that lift while also at the same time training your brain to stop unconsciously frowning. There was another research article I found on facial massages published in complimentary therapies in medicine that using a massage roller a facial massage roller increased skin blood flow both immediately and over time. The study itself was a fiveweek intervention that improved vascular dilation response meaning better circulation and healthier tissue. And I know a lot of people don't believe in gouacha and facial growers but I do and it helps me and my face looks amazing as a result. And there's also another study on facial mobility that found massage creates vertical movement in the soft tissues which may help counter gravitational sagging. But here's the part that most people also miss. Your skin layers are not all stuck together. The basement membrane between your epidermis and dermis layers creates adhesion. But as we age, that adhesion weakens. The dermis and the fat layer beneath, they have their own boundaries. So when you're massaging your face, you're also encouraging healthy movement between these layers and promoting circulation. So the key is you don't want this adhesion between your skin layers. Using tools like gasha, jade rollers or even just your fingers, clean fingers with oil, facial oil, upward strokes, always working upwards and be consistent because it doesn't work if you don't do it. Okay, so here's another thing that completely happened to me by accident. I have been wearing Invisalign for about maybe eight months now and I noticed my jaw starting to look more and more defined, more angular, sharper. At first, I thought I was imagining things, but then I realized that I was unconsciously clenching down on my aligners all day long. I'm literally working out my jaw without even trying. And here's the science behind it. Your massitor muscle is your main chewing muscle. It runs from your cheekbone to your jaw right here. And just like any muscle in your body, when you work it, it can hypertrophy. It can grow. According to medical literature, habits like prolonged gum chewing are associated with mass muscle hypertrophy. And the muscle literally gets bigger from repeated use. Now, some people get Botox in the massitor to slim down a square jaw. But there are side effects to this as well, and I will get into this later. It's related to the jaws. But if you want more definition in your lower face, then working this muscle can also help you. Especially if you want a stronger jawline, and my jaw is the strongest it's ever been. So yes, working the muscles, chewing gum is the obvious one. Some people also use jaw exercise tools. For me, it was just an accident from the Invisalign clenching. But I also want to add a caveat here. If you already have TMJ issues or jaw pain or migraines, this is not for you. And overdoing this can cause problems. This is more about being intentional and not obsessive. But the point is your facial muscles respond to training just like your body muscles do and you can sculpt them. Now let's talk about skincare that actually tightens your face. So I'll give you a quick rundown on skincare ingredients that support the skin structure. Number one is retinol. It increases collagen production and collagen is literally the protein that gives your skin structure and bounce. when it starts to break down, especially after a certain age, your skin starts to sag. And retinol makes your skin make more of it. Vitamin C is also an antioxidant that supports collagen synthesis. Think about this as protecting what you have while also helping build even more. Peptides are amino acid change that signal your skin to produce more collagen and elastin. Sunscreen as well is not super glamorous, but it's the most anti-aging thing you can do. UV damage breaks down collagen faster than almost anything else. None of these skincare ingredients will give you surgical results, but they support the structure that keep everything lifted. And I'm telling you, I have been able to do so much through skin care alone. But if you want more instant results, you can also add a little bronzer under your cheekbones and also along your jawline. and it will create a shadow for you that makes everything look more sculpted. Slick back hairstyles as well if you put everything up in a bun or ponytail for example actually pull the skin back slightly for a temporary lifted look. Some people use face tape as well to snatch their face up, but I don't want to recommend the girls to constantly be stretching out their skin that way because longterm that's going to create excess skin which we don't want. So I recommend starting off with the retinol and the face massages. Now, I want to give you information here about non-surgical procedures you can do at the Med Spa. And these are not recommendations because some of these can backfire and the potential side effects can create the opposite of what you want, which is crazy. They don't tell you this, by the way. So, I am just providing information. I don't do any of these except for the last one, but I know a lot of girls that do everything. Maybe at some point I may consider some of them, but I'm also a strong believer of if it's not a problem, don't fix it, right? Number one, fillers. In general, facial fillers add volume to your face. For example, if you want a more structured look, you can add volume to your jawline and to your cheekbones as well. There are also hyaluronic acid based options like Juvéderm or Voluuma. They're more common, but I believe they use more structured fillers like Radias for bone structure results or even biomodulators like Sculptra, which encourages collagen growth on your face. But beware the pillow phase if you either overdo it or if you deal with inflammation because I have seen people's faces literally blow up when they catch a cold because your immune system is weak and it attacks the fillers on your face and the resulting pillow phase is the opposite of snatch. Botox as well relaxes the muscles on your face. It can also prevent some wrinkles, lift your features and slim your face by weakening the target muscles. For example, if you get massive Botox, you can slim a square face into a Vshape. And remember what I said about how some people want to build this muscles, others want to slim it. It depends on your starting point and your goals, but if you have no muscle here, obviously it doesn't work. And if your muscles atrophy, like there's not enough support in your jaws for your skin, it may create jowls, droopy face from point one. So then you need the Dow Botox to counteract that. And then something else in your face becomes dominant and you rebalance everything. And this is a known side effect of Botox because it weakens your target muscles and then your face still needs to move because you're a human. So it overcompensates someplace else. Personally, I am scared to put any neurotoxin, which is what Botox is, near my brain. So do your research. There's also radio frequency treatments like Morpheus 8 or all therapy that uses heat to boost collagen and tighten skin. Make sure that this heat is not hot enough to dissolve facial fat unless it's what you're after. And if you're looking to dissolve facial fat, there's also Kyella, which is an injection that dissolves fat under the chin. It sounds amazing in theory, but some people do get uneven results. And I'm telling you this as a warning because when it comes to anything that has to do with manual fat reduction, even lipo suction, nobody can control the results 100%. Threat lifts can also literally lift your skin with dissolvable threats. It is temporary though and you don't want to do this too often unless you want a bunch of threats in your skin because apparently the dissolvable threats don't always dissolve. Some of them don't do it properly. So to me that sounds very horrifying. Now lasers can help change your skin quality. Some are abrasive, others are more gentle. You can do things like get rid of acne scars, hyperpigmentation, redness, or a mildly aabbrasive refresh so your face feels tighter and more elastic and grows more collagen. improve your skin texture. I have done lasers. I generally recommend it. But go to a highly highly trained practitioner. For me, I am conservative about this. I only go to one famous dermatologist I feel safe doing this with and he is super expensive because he helped develop half the lasers on the market today. I don't do this often because the right person is everything. And my right person, Dr. Geronomus, he is in New York and I don't live there anymore. But all of these non-surgical cosmetic procedures have potential complications. So I highly, highly recommend skilled practitioners. Some of them don't work for everyone, by the way. So do your research, talk to people who have done it. Get multiple consultations and do not let anyone pressure you into this. I'm giving you information so you know your options. Okay. Now, let me tell you about the instant snatch. Something that most people gatekeep. And you can probably tell by the way from my tattoos. I'm into body modification. I also have piercings that you can't see. And yes, I occasionally also practice tight lacing, not waist trainers. Those don't work. It's just all marketing. And the influencer girls who wear fajas and then tell you they got results from fajas. And no, they didn't. Fahas are for after getting lipo suction surgery. So, a lot of these people are lying. And yes, compression clothing can snatch you up while you're wearing them. But I'm talking about steel bone corsetry, custom fitted, worn over time with gradual reduction. And it takes a lot of dedication. A lot of celebrities do this and they do it sneakily. They wear custom corsets on red carpets and you cannot clock it because they have stylists and it's also customade. They show up looking impossibly snatched and everybody assumes it's genetics or surgery, but it's usually a corset. Here's my honest take on this. It requires a lot of commitment. It takes time. It takes research. You need to do it safely because if you don't do it safely, it can be dangerous. Your ab muscles also need to stay strong through regular exercise or they can atrophy, which is what you don't want. You also definitely should not be wearing these corsets during any kind of activity or workout. The wrong corset from a bad brand can actually hurt you. So, if you're interested, I highly recommend the tight lacing subreddit. It's full of people who actually know what they're doing. They'll tell you which brands to get, which to avoid completely, and they're going to warn you about the process. I'm not telling you to do this, but I'm telling you it exists and it works if you're interested in exploring it. Personally, I am not consistent enough about this to see dramatic results, but I can reduce quite a bit because I have been on and off tight lacing for literally years. But just so you know the actual picture of what tie lacing is about, it's using steel bone corsets to physically snatch your body inwards, which inherently is not safe. So if that doesn't resonate with you, don't do it. And this is also why this is the last point. Angels, here's what I want you to take away from this. Getting snatched is all about understanding how your body actually works and making choices that support it. For example, knowing that a muscle in your face is pulling down everything and you can work against that. You can build strength in the right places in your body. You can support your gut health and honor your cycle. Some of this take time, others you can start today. So, if you want more videos on leveling up your physical, spiritual, and mental, you know what to do. Subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss anything. Don't forget to download the free guide I made for this video so you won't have to take any notes. I believe in you, angels. Affirm with me in the comments. I am getting snatched this year. And I will see you in the next video. Bye.
