Analysis Summary
Ask yourself: “Who gets to be a full, complicated person in this video and who gets reduced to a type?”
Us vs. Them
Dividing the world into two camps — people like us (good, trustworthy) and people not like us (dangerous, wrong). It exploits a deep human tendency to favor our own group. Once you accept the division, information from "them" gets automatically discounted.
Tajfel's Social Identity Theory (1979); Minimal Group Paradigm
Worth Noting

- Provides a timely, enthusiastic recap of reported strike details like targets hit, casualties, and geopolitical ripple effects from a pro-Trump viewpoint useful for aligned viewers seeking unfiltered celebration.
Be Aware
Cautionary elements
- Overt us-vs-them framing that characterizes Democrats and Iran as evil to amplify support for the strikes

put on something red, white, and blue. So, [laughter] we're on. We could >> wonderful wife. On 2 minutes notice, she was in her bathrobe, dresses up in American colors, red, white, and blue. I can't believe it. [laughter] >> I just put on something. >> Okay, before we begin, I'm going to read the scripture that I randomly pulled out of my little scripture box. Peace to those far and near and I will heal them. Isaiah 57:19. So I was awakened by my husband saying, "Honey, I have good news. [laughter] We bombed Iran." And I I mean that's great. That is the best news ever. We've been waiting for this. We've been praying for this. We've been asking for this. And we couldn't resist. We just wanted to jump on and talk about operation fur uh operation epic fury. I am sorry. Operation epic fury. The president made an announcement and they >> at president the operation began at 200 a.m. Eastern time. The president was on TV giving his announcement half an hour later and I I woke up at uh 6. I had a feeling something was going on. And sure enough, >> yeah. >> And I I actually thought this was going to hap happen on Monday because of uh this this holiday of PUM, which Beth can explain a little bit better. But first, but I want to get in a couple things here. Uh at this point, the Ayatollah Ke is believed to be dead. uh as is his top general, as is the Iranian defense minister. They've all been killed by American or Israeli uh fighter attacks or missile attacks. Uh in Israel, there's only been one casualty. That's from a 55year-old guy in the north who got hit by shrapnel. One casualty. No American casualties whatsoever. So far, um, we've been able to effectively suppress Iranian missile capabilities. Uh, Iran could, uh, the spectacle of about two hours ago, all all of a sudden, Iran uh, fired off a fury of missiles at targets such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the Emirati, people that they should not want to attack. you know [laughter] that that they you might be able to convince them, you know, to help them in some way. No, because they didn't have any. They the uh Israel and the United States have taken out all of their longer range missiles. That's what that means. They have nothing left. They're just essentially firing off firecrackers just because. Uh and uh Okay. No. >> Okay. [laughter] We we I I have been online as I usually am and I'm seeing a lot of posts on social media from mostly young people who are upset and they say, "We didn't vote for this. We voted for President Trump to make America great again." And I and I said, my response to one of them was, "I'm older than you. [laughter] Bill and I have lived through the 47 years of terror that Iran has waged upon the world. And a lot of people are saying this is just about Israel. No, it is not just about Israel. This is about the world. One of the things I said to you was a free people anywhere is best for a free people everywhere. And when Iran was free, you remember those days? Well, in fact, Beth and I, and you you can remember this better than I can, were invited to speak on the topic of monetary reform in uh Iran. And what was that about 10 years ago? >> Yeah. But the point is that 47 years ago, the Iranian people were free. And I specifically remember the women, the women were wearing western clothes. The people were free. It was and then you know this regime came in and what they've done to their own people. We can't first of all we cannot allow them to be free to exercise terror on the world which was what happened October 7th. >> Yes. They were the the world's leading sponsor of terror >> and they bombed the USS Cole and all these. My my point being from 10 10 years ago, even then it wasn't as bad as it got in the subsequent years because uh when we were talking to the Iran Iranians, um they they were saying, "Yeah, I mean, we just want American lifestyles. We want to we want to dress like you. We want to be educated like you. We want to watch television like you. And uh you know, so can you come and help us?" And uh we talked about it and talked about it with people on our channel and everybody was saying no don't go and it's a good thing that we didn't go. >> Well, also partly that was due to who was president then. You know in 1979 a lot of people may not be old enough to remember this but they [snorts] held hostage for 444 days Americans. And we the retaliation in my mind for that was not as great as it should have been. But they have been terrorizing the world. And not only that, they have been mistreating their own people. We can't save the whole world. But we have to address a a threat to us. And yeah, their missiles may not have been strong enough yet, but they were working on them. they were working on getting back to their nuclear power. What I also look at is a lot of people are saying it is unconstitutional what he did and they don't understand the constitution. They don't understand the war powers act. They don't understand that he has not declared war on anybody. We have issued some strikes as Bill said the Ayatollah is reported by the Israel Times to be dead. We are pretty certain that it's probably true. >> Their defense man min minister and their top general of the IRGC. >> Yeah. But I want to talk a little bit too about um people are saying that, you know, President Trump is doing this at the behest of BB. And I think it's really the other way around, but we don't we're not doing this for Israel. However, Israel is one of our best allies and we have to do what >> in fact we Iran would have taken over the entire Middle East by now had it not been for Israel being determined to stop them even at great cost to Israel. >> Exactly. >> The presidential administrations in the United States in recent years have not been very friendly towards Israel. Have not been very friendly towards America even. And uh so President Trump is coming on to try to heal that and he's done splendidly so far. >> Yes. And the Iranian people now have an opportunity to have the government to have self-governance. There's there's already a group in London that's formed a provisional government and that will soon be coming to Thran and they'll uh of course there's going to be a lot of internal uh uh the Iranian people are going to have to do uh the on the ground leg work here in the next week and taking back their government. I really don't think it's going to be that hard. I I think with the three major characters being taken out, I think the the Iranian uh defense will crumble essentially. And if they're smart, they'll do that. They'll say, "Okay, we give up. Okay, let's let's now uh join our brothers in a free Iran." >> That's right. And you know, something else I'm seeing online is a lot of people from the UK and from Canada saying, "Free us. Free us next. Come free us. We want to be free. >> Incredibly to two two the two countries that immediately joined in public to to support Trump uh in this action were Canada and Australia. >> That's right. That's right. The UK would not allow us to fly our planes over their airspace. So Belgium said, "Okay, you can use ours." [laughter] But >> we got plenty of places we can fly, buddy. You know, you just lost out. >> Yeah. Well, and and in true fashion, the Democrats are taking the side of the evil evil regime. They're not they're not for the Iranian people. They're not for the American people. But who are they for? The evil regime of Iran. They don't think we should have done anything. >> So, Iran, Russia, and China are the main players in that. And uh the interesting thing is that the speculation is that now this will take uh uh pull the rug out from underneath uh u Russia and their war with Ukraine. And so they'll have to settle. They were they're on the verge right now of settling anyway. They're just trying to get the best deal they could. But this is really going to push it. >> Yeah. And if doing this is Let me see. If the Democrats are against it, that makes me all the more for it. [laughter] John Federman, of course, put out a notice that this is a good thing. You know, >> Federman has just come on amazingly. Amazingly. >> Yeah. He was the only one that stood for some of those things. I I still don't understand why he didn't stand up when they asked about the American people. But anyway, he has his statement was this is good. This is good for America. Um, and also too, it is not unconstitutional. President Trump has not declared war without Congress. He does have certain war powers acts that he can use, >> especially if if if his his uh thing is is designed to prevent an attack on the part of the of an enemy that he knows is about to occur. I that's clearly within presidential power. I mean, the president would be hamstrung without such a power. >> And not only that, but they're threatening our allies. And you know that we have to stand up. We have to stand up for freedom. I think this is a wonderful thing. This is something I've been praying for for 47 years. We haven't had a president willing to do it. >> And you're only 46 years old. [laughter] >> A little older than that. But no, it is it's absolutely true. We I began praying for Iran in probably 1979 to be free. And now we finally have a president who will do it and will do what he says he'll do. So I think >> and they will erect a statue of Donald Trump in the center of um Iran. I guarantee. >> Yeah. And but you know we never did talk about the State of the Union speech. Maybe we should just We didn't talk about it because of all this stuff that was going on with us. But uh it was a great speech. It was a wonderful speech and it established, you know, who is for us and who is against us as if we didn't already know. But I'm also seeing a lot of Democrats being very disappointed with their party and very disappointed with their senators and representatives and switching over to being Republican and switching over to being and some of them post things like how do we do this MAGA thing? But getting back to Iran, this is a good day. This is a wonderful thing. I think Bill will have a report that goes in a little more in depth of what this is, but what effect does this have on the oil situation for >> uh typically this would make the oil price spike, but uh both the US and Israel have gone to great lengths to take out uh the Iranian navy which uh pied the Persian Gulf. and were the the main force at trying to close uh the Gulf and uh to to uh mess up uh oil shipments coming from Saudi Arabia primarily and there's been no act they took out all we took out all those boats all of their Iranian boats gone >> so you think the Saudis would be happy with us >> oh they are they just can't express it publicly because [laughter] even though they're a different flavor of Muslim, they're still Muslim. And so we have to walk a little cautiously there, not to upset them. And uh I think Trump's doing it perfectly. >> Because they have expressed some being upset about it, but you think that's what they're saying publicly that privately they're probably happy about it. >> Well, I mean, Iran showed their colors. They launched some of their few remaining missiles at Saudi Arabia. [laughter] like that didn't do anything but I mean it's still other than showed them where they were coming from. >> Yeah. Yeah. So the bottom line is we are taking out an evil regime which is a good thing to do. It is helping the whole world which I was talking to you about some of these young people that were saying you know we voted for make America great again not make Iran great again. They're very young. you can see in their pictures and you were you had a wonderful at the time explanation about how we cannot live in isolation. Right. >> Right. This this is uh not an isolation world anymore. There are are there's too much interconnections. Iran feeds China in certain ways. China feeds Iran. Iran feeds Russia. Russia uh feeds Iran with weaponry and stuff like that. It's it's very much interconnected. And so we we can't just sit here anymore and say, "Well, we have an ocean between us and them, so we won't worry about this." We do have to worry about it. >> We do have to worry about it. And you know, saying that, what you said, an ocean between us and them, that's exactly what people were saying before World War II. Well, we have an ocean between us. We don't need to worry about it. >> Well, that's why Iran was trying to claim that, well, we're we're about to uh launch missiles that can reach the United States. Well, that was just bluff. That's all it was to try to make Trump stall a little while longer till so they could have more time to get their long range ballistic missile act together. Didn't happen. Ain't going to happen. >> No, it's not. And as I said, Bill will have a more in-depth report after we get more information. And we know I'm wondering what General Halt is thinking now. Oh, I've I've already got plenty of tape on General Holt. >> But that was from before, right? >> No, that was from this morning before you woke up. >> Oh, good. So, we'll find out what General Halt has to say about it. He has been very very good uh source of information, >> right? He's very happy with the way things are going and uh there'll be there are battle damage assessments going on in Israel and the United States right now and whatever targets uh remain uh as soon as they're ready to strike again there we've got plenty plenty of material there to strike with. And just to reiterate for the young people, the uh regime, not the people of Iran, but the regime of Iran, the um supremeas, >> yeah, the supreme leaders had been chanting death to America, death to Israel, death to the big Satan, death to the little Satan for 47 years, right? I mean, and they, you know, that they have been gunning for us. They have caused a lot of damage. They were probably behind the bombing of the USS Cole. They were behind a lot of the >> the marine barracks bombing, >> right? And >> and you know, they were claiming they were going to have nuclear capability and I don't think that was a bluff. I think both Russia and China were helping them with that and u so we took them out. >> Yes. So, but there is a long history there is a long history of attacks and hostage taken and killing of Americans. US blood has been spilled by this regime. >> That's right. And so we're we I'm just happy to that he's >> You spill US blood. You can as soon as another Trump comes into office, you better watch out. >> Absolutely. 100%. We have the right president for the right time. >> And both of our both of our fathers fought in uh US wars and were that's why we're proud to display the American flag behind us. >> That's right. That's right. And I and I think that that's God bless President Trump. God bless the Iranian people. Now is your chance. Take it and run with it. >> As Trump said, you won't have another chance for many generations. Jump on it. And of course they will. They don't need any encouragement. They just needed a little bit of help. >> Absolutely. Now is your chance. Jump on it. And we know that you will. And God bless the United States of America. And may God bless all of you and pay attention because Bill will have a report later on more in more in depth. We just wanted to jump on and jump on it. Okay. [laughter] So, >> good. >> Thank you. >> Good wife. Uh, I didn't see any comments, but that's
