Worth Noting

Positive elements

  • This video provides a brief look at the Vice President's personal reflections on her writing habits and her perspective on the Democratic National Convention.

Be Aware

Cautionary elements

  • The use of sensory 'old school' details (like the blue pen) is a classic branding technique to create an illusion of transparency and 'unfiltered' access.

If I had to describe my book 107 days in just a few words, I'd say candid, funny, uh, reflective, and personal. So, how I prefer to write is mostly with my favorite blue pen on paper, real old school, but also on the computer. It's kind of, you know, hearing the click clack and moving through the words um, that way is also great. So, I do both. um exhausting, but really what it is is it reminds me that there are two ways to write and one is for the eye and the other is for the ear. And to get it right in a book means to write for both. One of the pieces of the book that I loved writing about was the convention. It was, you know, my whole family came in um and participated and friends of family and extended family and it was really a wonderful time to have everyone under the same roof and um I enjoyed writing about it.
