That Lexington Card Show Was Insane

It's February the 28th. I'm headed to the Lexington, Kentucky car show. Had no plans of coming. Didn't even know it was happening this weekend. Uh I flew in to Kentucky earlier this week. My dad had heart valve replacement. So I've been here working with him and my mom to taking care of them and getting him back and forth to the hospital. Everything went perfect. Thank you. We're very thankful for that. He's doing great. He's home. We'll be watching. and I'll be with him this afternoon. We'll be watching Kentucky play Vanderbilt. So, it's going to be a great weekend regardless. Very thankful that my dad's doing well. But the Lexon, Kentucky show was happening. I just a spur of the moment. I decided I would look last night uh to see if it would happen to be the Saturday that it was going on. It is. I've been very lucky. Every time I come back to Kentucky, it seems like that I'm here during this show. So, we'll go check it out again. I'm expecting it to be what it normally is. Uh, but we'll check it out. Give you a complete overview of the show and I'll be back with you here in just a second. I'm I'm 30 minutes early, so I don't know if they're even going to let me in or not, but we'll see. Crowdest I've ever seen this show. The busiest for sure. Crazy busy. I normally don't show a lot of pickups. Mainly when I do these show reviews is just to give people an idea of attending or thinking about setting up what the show looks like, what they can expect. But thought I would show some of my pickups just because most all these we will run Tuesday on our whatnot show. Uh DND sports cards whatnot show. I bought a few Bobby Wits. That's with the Santa hat on. Several Hunter and Ellies. You can see one Ellie slab. Hunter green slab down here. All these are hunter green. All the Chipper and Ronald Akunas I could find Judge Funson several Michael Jordan there's Aunia stack of LeBron stack of Otani Wimi all skins Yakamoto man this and every Shay I could get my hands on. So all these will go on our whatnot stream this Tuesday at least the majority. I got a couple here for my per my PC, but that's what I picked up. I usually don't show my pickups that much, but I got through all this in an hour, so I'm happy with that. And I'm going to head to the Peddlers Mall here in Lexington while I'm here to see if that one booth has those cards left. So, we'll give you an update when we get to the Peddlers Mall. I'm leaving. If you look at this parking lot, if you've been to this show before, this whole entire parking lot is just packed. People were having trouble even finding a place to park. That show was the most crowded I've ever seen it. It was just wall to-wall people as you guys saw in the video. I don't know what this person's doing, but it's a jam-packed show. I'm so glad I got here at 8:30. They let me get in early. Glad I got here before the crowd. I had some great pickups as you guys saw the goats mostly and that's usually what we try to sell on whatnot is Otanis judge Paul skins the most popular cards is what we try to go with and whatnot we don't want to waste our time or the viewers so anyway guys if you get a chance to come to this show a lot of good variety a lot of people that are just opening wax and uh selling off what they want to sell off what they don't collect but anyway I'm going Going to head to the Peddlers Mall here in Lexington. The last time I was here, I want to check this out when I get get home. I have no idea what that is going for, but I know Frank Thomas does well on our whatnot. A little bit of everything. A lot of non-sports. So, if you're into non-sports, they definitely have them here. Peddler's Mall in Kentucky. Just note to self, next time I head this way, find some type of promotion that I can put on this public bulletin board. We buy cards or maybe promotion for whatnot show or cuz marketers always stop and look at these boards. So just note to self and anybody watching if you have see these public bulletin boards and collectors peddlers malls collectors malls antique malls good place to put your promotion or I buy cards type of flyer. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't have the baseball two rows but I picked up a couple things that we'll experiment with on our next whatnot show. I've got the Austin Karna plaque. A lot of Reds fans attend our whatnot, so probably use that as a giveaway. Then I picked up the 91 clear cell. We'll probably run that. Then I picked up a couple of the 1988 Tops big baseball card wax. Those are good looking cards. George Bred, Eric Davis, a lot of really good players and Hall of Famers, all stars in those packs. And then I picked up a 1990 the coins pack. I think there's four, three or four coins in there, the collectible coins from 1990. We'll probably run those. And if they do, then I know where I can come back and get more to replenish. So, I wouldn't have driven out here for what you're seeing here, but it was worth the hope. It was worth the trip and hopes of being able to pick up some two row, but it didn't happen. Guys, that's a recap of my Saturday morning. Great card shop. Great card show in Lexington. Recommended highly. You could see the crowd was there. So, if you're going to go get there early, my trip to the Peddlers Mall. Now, I'm heading back to Kentucky, Kentucky Place Vanderbilt at 2:00 here in Lexington. I would like to just go to the show, go to the game directly and be there live, but my daughter's coming in and some other friends and grandkids to see my dad since he just got out of surgery. as I mentioned earlier. So, I'm going to go home, watch the ball game, be with family. My brother's picking me up in the morning and we'll fly back to Atlanta and get ready for our Tuesday whatnot show.
