What Blake Lively and [music] Justin Baldoni do for a living, I could never do it. Let me tell you from now, I couldn't do it. I couldn't have a job where [music] I have to kiss somebody that I'm not in a relationship with, where I have to [music] simulate intimacy with them, where I have to be in different [music] stages of undress. I I I just couldn't imagine it. [music] So today I wanted to talk about the latest [music] audio evidence that was released by Blake Lively and her team as part of [music] all the evidence that they are presenting to the courts in the Blake Lively versus [music] Justin Baloni case that we have been discussing extensively here in this [music] channel. And if this is a topic that interests you, I would like to invite you to subscribe to my channel. I think you're going to find some of the topics that [music] I've been covering here interesting. Please subscribe now. Let's get right back into the topic. So, the last thing we heard that was released by Blake Lively's team as part of their evidence in proving that Justin Baldon was inappropriate with Blake Lively during the filming of It Ends With Us. They released this voicemail that Justin left for Blake after she had completed a fitting and she sent the photos to him and he was commenting on it. And if you went by the headlines that were generated by this release of this audio, you would have thought that Justin Baldon was being completely inappropriate with Blake. You wouldn't have the context of the conversation that was being had. It's very clear that Blake Lively has had the upper hand when it comes to the public PR that's coming out of her camp. They have been doing their best to put all this information and make it as scandalous as possible. But what they don't count on is that there's an entire army of people who have organically been observing what has been happening in this case. And we have seen the unfairness and the lies and the exaggerations that Blake Lively has employed in this whole case from the very beginning. And so when this audio came out and all the headlines came out, Justin Baldoni tells Blake Lively in voicemail that she's beautiful and he has chills. We said, "Okay, bet. Let's listen to it." And of course, when you listen to the actual audio and you see the context in which it But anyways, why don't we just go ahead and listen to it right now. >> Hey Blake, I hope the fitting was uh super successful. Thank you for sending those pictures. That was really cool. I was in the the department head meeting and it came through and I was like waiting for them to load and I legit got the chills when I saw it and uh you look beautiful. It's going to it's going to work so well. Okay. Um, >> that's it. That's a smoking gun. That's it, you guys. Justin told Blake she looked beautiful and that he got chills when he saw her photos. Let's break this down line by line, bar for bar. >> Hey Blake, I hope the fitting was uh super successful. >> There was a fitting. She's an actress. They have to fit the clothing that they're going to be wearing in the movie so that the director can get an idea of what she's going to look like. >> Thank you for sending those pictures. >> Blake sent the photos to Justin as she should because she's an actress during a fitting for the movie that he's directing. There was a fitting. Blake sent the photos. >> Was really cool. I was in the the department head meeting and they came through and I was like waiting for them to load and I legit got the chills when I saw it and >> I legit got the chills. We're going to go back to that. >> Uh you look beautiful. It's going to it's going to work so well. Okay. Um aren't you all tired of the games Blake and her PR people are playing? of the games that TMZ and People magazine and US Weekly and all these other publications that are clearly in the payroll. Isn't it exhausting to see the dumb games they're playing? Justin tells Blake, "You look beautiful. It's going to work really well." He's not telling her, "You look so beautiful because I'm really interested in you." There was none of that. It's so professional because even after he says that you look beautiful. It's going to work so well. Okay. Like he literally breaks into business. And the second part of the audio that I didn't play was him describing how he found Isabella and he his gut is telling him that he wants Isabella to play her. But Blake Lively lies to Isabella, tells her that it was Taylor Swift. And you know what was interesting to me? There is a video and I'm going to play it here where Justin was asked, "Hey, I heard that Taylor Swift had a hand in picking Isabella Ferrer as the girl that plays young Lily Bloom." And Justin confirms that. He goes, "Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. There was actually a situation where, watch it. Listen to it." >> We did a Tik Tok search. We like looked through thousands of women and tapes and and then I found Isabella. Well, she told me Taylor Swift helped her get the role audition. >> I had brought in I was casting and I and um I had actually brought in and showed her casting tape to Blake and Taylor and they were both like, "Yes, her." And that's a that's that's a true story. You know what I think? I think he's lying. >> [laughter] >> There was something about the way he said it. His eyes are kind of turning and and then he looks and he's like, "Oh, yeah, yeah, she's and that's a true story." Whenever people say that's a true story, [clears throat] put a little put a little bit of, you know, a little bit of doubt on that. And the thing about it is it's very clear that Justin is lying to protect Blake Lively because she has told this story so much and he still even though he has been cast away at this point, they're not allowing him to do promotion with the rest of the cast and he's all alone. Even then, he is playing nice and he's protecting Blake and he, in my opinion, I could be wrong, but in my opinion, he's lying about, oh yeah, the day when I went and I showed her the tape, Taylor was there. How many times has he met Taylor Swift? Because if you listen to Taylor, she only met him that first time when they bumped into each other, which we now know it was orchestrated when he had that pleasant meeting in the apartment with Blake Lively when they were going over the balcony scene that supposedly she rewrote, but we now know that it was Ryan who rewrote it. And Taylor shows up and she starts complimenting the rewrite, blah blah blah. It was a very pleasant encounter. According to Jamie Heath and maybe others, there was a second encounter where they went to this meeting where Ryan Reynolds bered Justin Baldoni to the point of tears and that Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were there. None of these meetings are the meetings where he discussed, "Hey, here's the tape of Isabella Ferrer. What do you think? Do you agree with me casting her?" None of those meetings sound like that took place, but I think he made it up because even while he was being pounded and treated so poorly, he was still a team player. And I think he lied to make it seem like, yeah, we're all on the same page. We're all good. Nobody's going to contradict anybody. Certainly, I'm not going to do it. We're going to keep it nice for the movie. But any case, talk about the audio that we just heard. I've been wanting to touch on this ever since I started discussing this case. Like I briefly mentioned last week, there is a very strong possibility that there were things that Justin said to Blake that could have rubbed her the wrong way, that went a little too far, just a tad too far. But because of what they do for a living, it was just a little too far. Had he said those same things to a c-orker or, god forbid, a subordinate in a different job setting, it absolutely would have been considered sexual harassment or at the very least being so dense that you don't understand that you're not supposed to say that to me. But because we're talking about actors and movie making, you need to understand this as you listen to all this evidence that is coming out. What Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni do for a living is completely different from what you and I do for a living. We should not judge these interactions the same way we would judge them if it happened to us in our everyday work. What Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni do for a living, I could never do it. Let me tell you from now, I couldn't do it. I couldn't have a job where I have to kiss somebody that I'm not in a relationship with. where I have to simulate intimacy with them, where I have to be in different stages of undress in their presence, where we have to be on top of each other, where we are in these situations that would only make sense in real life if they were happening with somebody that you have an intimate relationship with. I couldn't do it. For me, it would feel almost like prostitution because you're basically getting paid to get into very intimate situations with your co-stars who are not even people that you it's not like that in real life. So, I just don't know what it would take for somebody to get into that frame of mind that they're like, "Yep, yep. We're going to kiss. We're going to kiss with open mouth. Maybe a tongue might slip in. Yes. I'm going to take my clothes off for this person. Yeah, I might have my little bits covered. I I I just couldn't imagine it. And I'm not shaming anybody because it's an honest work. It's a job that people do all the time. And as long as they feel I'm doing this out of my own valition. I am agreeing to do this. I don't see a problem with it. But I couldn't do it. It'd be too much for me. So when you listen to this recording where this man is saying to this woman, "You look beautiful. I got chills." Do not judge it as in, "Wow, if my boss said that to me, I would feel uncomfortable." Hell yeah. If my boss said to me, "You look really beautiful, little man." I'll be like, "What the hell? What is happening? Why is he telling me this?" [laughter] Thanks, but awkward. This is and it's not because I don't like compliments. I think compliments are wonderful. I'm not one of those super sensitive people that complain about every little thing like Jenny Slate that when she was complaining about the place where she lives with her child. And Jamie Heath went to her and said, "Oh, don't worry about it. We're going to take care of your deposit. We'll give that back to you. We'll find you a better place. It's very important that you as a mother are comfortable." And she's like, "What do you mean as a mother? I am more than a mother. I don't know what that whole thing entailed. I can't wait for it to go to trial for me to really hear verbatim what that interaction was. But anyway, the point I'm making is I'm not one of those super sensitive people. I think a compliment is very timely. As long as it is appropriate and it's in the right setting, but because of the relationship I have with my boss and we have a very cut and dry thing going, it would take me out for a loop. But in the case of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, these people make movies. Him telling her that she looks beautiful is for two reasons. Number one, it is her job as an actress playing the main female character, it's literally her job to look beautiful. Okay, that's number one. It's literally her job description. But number two, we've heard other recordings and we've read other communications between Justin and Blake before they started filming and Blake makes it very clear that she's feeling insecure about her body. She just had a baby a few months before and she's just not feeling her best and she's actually asking him to push down some of the the filming of some of the scenes where you have to see her body because she doesn't feel good. And Justin is just trying to reassure her. You look good. Don't worry about it. It's going to work out really well. That's what he's doing. He's giving her notes. As the director, you're supposed to be giving notes to your to the people who are acting in your movie to let them know when something is working and when something is not. He's letting her know it's going to work. Okay. I saw the pictures. You look beautiful. You have nothing to worry about. That would be like your boss if you're in sales telling you you did a good job. You met your quota last month or you achieved all your goals that we set out for your department. That's the same thing. And when he says to her, I got chills. I am pretty sure that what he meant was, I got chills because I looked at the pictures and I saw Lily bloom just like I had pictured her in my mind. I truly truly believe that that's what he meant. I got chills. You embodied the character. There have been several other situations, very similar situations where actors really embody the character they were hired to play. And upon looking at them, not just the director, but the casting director and other people, they all say the same thing. Oh, I felt chills. It was as if I was looking at this person that I have been picturing from the moment I read the book. You look exactly how I pictured it. I got chills. This was so real. And understand this. Blake knows this. Blake has been doing this for I think 20 years since she was a teenager. So Blake knows this, but in her quest to make him look bad, she's manipulating these things because she knows that the public doesn't know the difference between what she does for a living and what they do for a living. and what most people do for a living in their setting. A comment like that would feel inappropriate. And so that's why the headlines scream those lines, knowing exactly that the public is going to think that sounds off. That sounds weird. Nobody should be saying that to their subordinate or even their coworker. Not in this climate. Not in this postme climate. And again, there were other situations where Justin is accused of crossing a line. Let's be clear, this book, from what I understand, has a lot of intimate scenes. And so did the script, the original script. So for Blake to act shocked at these things that he's saying to her in relation to intimacy is very disingenuous. If you're filming a movie that has love scenes and is expected it was originally an R-rated movie when she signed up to do it, yes, there's going to be some conversations about those scenes and that involves talking about sex. How are you going to talk about a sex scene without talking about sex? How does that work? And there were instances like I said where um they were having conversations and I guess he brought up the fact that I don't want to get demonetized but something about the experience of intimacy and that moment that happens and if she's ever had this situation where it happened simultaneously and I think she says that he mentioned that him and his wife has had that happen a tad too far a bit too far But if you read how the script was originally written, one of the scenes, one of the intimacy scenes involves something like that happening. So he I guess was trying to get her to draw from real life experience and he got a little bit too close. And I would hope that Blake and anybody listening to the sound of my voice, if you ever find yourself in that situation, it's okay for you to say, um, is it okay if we don't talk about my personal experience when it comes to this? Because you have a right to not be uncomfortable in situations that involve this. At the same time, you should have an expectation that in talking about this topic, things might get a little uncomfortable. If you are kind of a a a prudish person and it sounds to me like Blake has issues with intimacy. Remember that scene, the dancing scene that was so controversial when she lied and made up this story that he just spontaneously leaned into her neck and said, "You smell nice." And it turns out that they were talking about she was talking about wearing makeup and and watch this video. We we break it down. But in this scene, the way it was written, they were supposed to be just dancing quietly, looking into each other's eyes, and she couldn't do it. She couldn't do it. The other day, um, I think Justin released another angle of that same scene, and I was looking at it again, and it dawned on me, Blake is very unprofessional. If you are told, "This is what the scene is. We're going to be dancing. We're going to be looking into each other's eyes." Even if you're uncomfortable, Blake, you're not playing yourself. You're not playing the role of Blake Lively, who gets uncomfortable dancing quietly, looking into somebody's eyes. She made it personal. She said to him, "My husband and I, we could never we could never just dance staring at each other. It's too uncomfortable. We have to talk. We have to break the tension." I'm sorry, Blake, but we don't care. This is not about Blake Lively. This is about Lily Bloom and Riyle, two characters. if you can't play the role, why did you take the role? And so, it was very unprofessional of her to be this person who if if you're that squeamish, just don't don't play that role. Just do something else. If it makes you uncomfortable, if you can't even stay in character without being like, I I can't I can't do this. Let's talk. Let's talk. We need to talk. So, because she seems like somebody who has a problem with intimacy, those discussions just really were too much for her. But again, if you sign up to play a role that involves intimacy, you have to be prepared to explore these topics and not take it personal or not take it to the point where you're like, "That was so inappropriate. Let me sue you." She even brought up the whole thing about when Isabella Ferrer filmed her intimacy scene with her co-star that Justin kind of playfully went over to them and say, "I'm not supposed to say that, but that was hot." That was him giving notes. Again, when you are acting out a scene where there's intimacy, you're supposed to convince the public that something really did happen. It's not supposed to look like you were just acting. It's supposed to be hot. So, him saying that in a playful way, I think he said it in a playful way to kind of break the eyes because it's kind of awkward. You're half-dressed, there's a crew, there's cameras, you're being told, "Hey, put your hand here and and kiss him there and lick his neck and do you know, it's it's weird." So, I guess to break the tension, he's like, "Hey, I'm not supposed to tell you this, but that was hot." That again is the equivalent of your boss telling you, "Good job on that presentation. you've really sold the product to the clients. That's what it is. These people do things in their everyday working life that is completely different from our lives. So, we shouldn't expect that what would be inappropriate in our line of work to be inappropriate in their line of work. Even telling Jenny Slate, "Hey, your pants, they look sexy." That's part of our costume. They're supposed to look cute. They're supposed to be sexy. They're at a club. When girls wear, you know, leather pants or whatever it is, they want to look sexy, whether to appeal to the men or maybe they want to impress the other women. Look at my sense of style. Look how cute I look. This is all part for the course. This is all part of what it is to be in the movie industry. And again, Blake knows this. And I'm starting to wonder, did she plot this at these different points? Because even when I think about the there was this other thing that she complained about how they were at her home and they were talking about circumcising. She was about to have her first son. She has two or three daughters previously and um she had her first boy and I guess her and Justin and others because they weren't alone in a room. There were other people in the room and they were discussing should I circumcise my son? Should I not? and he offered again golden retriever [laughter and gasps] golden retriever energy let me tell you some more let me tell you about myself he shared the fact that he's also circumcised I don't know if she was worried that it might traumatize her child and he was trying to assure her and say listen you know I'm circumcised I don't remember anything I'm fine but again she took this as an opportunity to say he was being inappropriate and I wonder who brought this up I wonder if Blake herself brought brought up the topic of circumcision knowing that the golden retriever in Justin Baldoni was going to jump up and say, "Let me tell you about me." It is all this manipulation and scheming and misinterpreting things and then relaying them to a public that doesn't understand how these things work. This bothers me. It doesn't sit well with my soul. It's uncalled for. It's unnecessary and it's all coming out. We're seeing that she's not an honest person. And I know that after this, Justin, I know that this experience is probably going to harden him and it's going to kind of calm his eagerness to be friends. I hope that Justin learns from this, but that it doesn't change him too much. Yeah, there are things that have to change. No more sharing too many personal experiences, Justin. Just don't do that. Because even though it might not bother some people who are used to these kinds of conversations when they're getting ready to film these types of scenes, it's not going to run well with others. And you don't want to find yourself in this situation again. So, lesson number one, keep the personal anecdotes to a minimum. [laughter] And if you're going to bring them up, they shouldn't involve anything that has to do with intimacy and genitalia. Okay, let's just let's just leave it at that. But the other thing that I hope that Justin takes from this experience is that he doesn't have to fundamentally change who he is as a person. He shouldn't change his desire to help, his desire to form close relationships with people because I think that that is what makes him special and the people who have spoken up in his defense. I was almost moved to tears when it was his birthday and I was seeing all over Instagram people leaving messages for him and the way they talk about him. The way they they describe his humanity, his humility, his empathy, his ability to connect with people. That is what makes him special. And I hope he doesn't lose that. He just needs to learn who to trust and who doesn't deserve that much closeness to him. That's what I hope is the lesson. [clears throat] Tone it down a little bit, but remain who you are. Because when people betray you, it's their fault. It's not your fault for trusting them. It's their fault for betraying that trust. And that is their journey. That's something they need to deal with. But don't close your heart. This message is not just for Justin. It's for anybody listening to me. I had to learn that because I've been hurt and there was a time when I thought, you know what, I'm just going to close myself off. But that's not the right thing either. Don't close your heart up because we need as many open hearts as possible in the times that we're living. You just need to calibrate it and use more discernment so that your kindness doesn't get prayed upon. Okay, but let me know what you think about this video. Please leave me a comment.
